Chapter 27

 

Xiao Zhan woke up without Yibo in the room, but he left him a letter stating that he has an early schedule, but he will wait for his answer once he gets back. Xiao Zhan recalled that Yibo confessed to him last night, but he was hesitant to answer.

 

First, because of their age gap, it seems like he is dating his younger brother. Second, Yibo’s dating history, well not necessarily ‘dating’ per se, but more of his previous flings and scandals. Third, Yibo is a famous actor and he’s just his previous manager and if they date it is a bit hassle too since they cannot date in public.

 

A sudden realization comes into his mind that he’s actually thinking of dating Yibo, he is not even sure about his feeling about the younger man. This is the first time that he felt this way, during those times that they kissed it was good and the man might be problematic at times, but he is responsible with his work.

 

His phone rang and saw that it was a call from Yibo, “Hello Zhan-ge. Good morning.”

 

 

“Uhm, hi Yibo, Good morning,” he doesn’t know why he felt awkward it just a call and they are always talking so why does it feel different.

 

 

“I left some food on the table, have your breakfast before going to work,” Yibo said.

 

 

“Hm, uhm thank you Yibo, regarding uhm to what happened last night, I, I just,” Xiao Zhan said stuttering, he’s not sure how to properly answer him he cannot even think what will happen to the two of them.

 

“Ops, I know what you are trying to say Zhan-ge but like what I’ve said, I will wait for your answer once I get back, I want to hear the answer personally, well then, bye!” Yibo said proudly and dropped the call.

 

 

“You seem energetic today, Wang Yibo, what’s up?” Seoung youn asked as he was irritated by the happy-go-lucky mood of the younger man, he’s observing hem since earlier and the young man keeps on grinning from ear to ear, of course ha has an idea that it was because of his former manager.

 

 

“Something good happened, and I’m just waiting for my prize after a week,” Yibo said.

 

 

“Prize?”

 

“Yep, so let’s finish this shooting so I can go back,” Yibo said smugly.

 

 

Xiao Zhan finished his breakfast in Yibo’s unit and directly went to work with Xnine, however he got a call from Johnny Huang and invited him for some coffee after working hours, since he already agreed to their date, he agreed to meet him since the boy group only have few schedules for the day.

 

The two had a friendly coffee date, both enjoyed the conversation that they had but of course Johnny has a different meaning to this date, he is seriously interested in dating Xiao Zhan, he wanted to ask him, but he knew that the other man will definitely turn him down to he decided to ask him after few more dates.

 

“But Zhanzhan, you are really close with Wang Yibo,” Johnny asked.

 

“Ah yes, uhm somehow, I’m his former manager,” Xiao Zhan was fluster by the sudden mentioned of Wang Yibo, he almost forgot that the younger man confessed to him last night.

 

 

“Are you sure that you don’t have any personal relationship with him aside from being a former manager?”

 

 

“We are friends,” Xiao Zhan simply said.

 

 

“Hmm, is that so? But really Zhanzhan hope we can still you know meet again like this,” Johnny said.

 

 

“Of course,” Xiao Zhan said while smiling back at Johnny. The two went home after their coffee date, and again he received multiple messages from Yibo asking him what he is doing, but he didn’t mention that he had a meeting with Johnny, for some reason it doesn’t feel right for him but there’s no reason for him as well to tell Yibo.

 

 

Week passed and Wang Yibo already finished his shooting in another town, he wanted to visit Xiao Zhan right after going back to their building but for some reason, he’s not answering his phone nor the doorbell. He decided to go back first to his unit; surprisingly Xiao Zhan was waiting for him with cooked foods on his table.

 

 

“Yibo? You’re here already? Welcome back, hold on I am not yet finished cooking your foods,” Xiao Zhan said while finishing the cooking.

 

Wang Yibo was surprised by the sudden action of your man, he wanted to pound on him, but he restrains himself and just hug Xiao Zhan on the back. Xiao Zhan was fluster by the sudden action of the younger man.

 

 

“Aiyo, Y-yibo? Uhm let me finish this first, okay?”

 

 

“I miss you,” Yibo said, and Xiao Zhan blushed by the sudden declaration and clinginess of Yibo, but he needs to do what he needs to do. He just sighed and asked Yibo to just sit and he will finish preparing the food.

 

 

“Wow, I really miss your food as well Zhan-ge,” both had a hearty dinner that night, although Yibo has been exhausted by the non-stop shooting, he was energized by the surprised dinner that was prepared by his beloved.

 

 

“How was your uhm week?” Xiao Zhan asked between the meal.

 

 

“Fine, as usual, you know. Besides, I need to wait for something, so I tried to finish early,” Yibo said smugly.

 

 

“Uhm yes, about that…..”

 

 

“Let me finish my food and bath and will talk,” Yibo said while smiling, he was confident but at the same time nervous but he’s hoping for the best.

 

 

 

“That’s fine, take your time, I will just wait for you in the living room after this,” Xiao Zhan said.

 

 

After the dinner, Yibo took a bath and somehow pat his self to encourage himself. After the bath, Xiao Zhan dried his Yibo’s hair while they are watching some movies to past time, he let Yibo rest first before talking to him, while he was sitting on the sofa and the younger man sitting on the floor while drying his hair. After some times Yibo decided to drink some beer and sit back on the floor in between Xiao Zhan’s legs. Of course, this made Xiao Zhan conscious, but he needed to talk to Yibo as soon as possible.

 

 

“Hey Yibo, I’m sorry but I cannot date you,” Xiao Zhan said. While Yibo on the other hand just freezes on the spot and don’t know what to say.
