Chapter 24

It’s been two days since the handsome stranger came to the village, like on his he is still following Xiao Zhan and helping him from time to time. Some of the villagers already stopped guarding their shifu’s house even though his friends will be back after a week.

“Zhanzhan, zhanzhan, we still didn’t know the name of the handsome stranger,” one of the elders in the village said.

“Ah! That! I haven’t asked him as well hehe, I just asked him if he would like to eat or if something’s wrong,” Xiao Zhan said, in fact he forgets, he only remembers the outsiders face rather than asking them since its first the safety as well, when he ask for their name, the other people would tend to ask for his name as well.

He knew that they will never know who Xiao Zhan is, but it is better to be safe than sorry, especially that their village is self-sufficient, and they only have visitors from time to time, that is why some of the working villagers tends to visit other village to sell somethings and for now his creation has been gaining popularity, the reason why he train others for these is just to past time and he thought that he will return to his world.

He kind of expected that his design would gain popularity as it was new to the public’s eye in this world, he is a famous designer after all. He wonders how long it has been in his original world, he knew that there were time differences in these two worlds, in this world the time is progressing quickly while slow in the modern world.

He is spacing out, that is why he didn’t notice that some villagers or to be exact his adult students were already gathering around the stranger and tried to ask him a few questions but again he didn’t answer not until someone asked for his name.

“Yibo,” the stranger simply answered.

Xiao Zhan stopped to what he is currently doing and look at the stranger, however the man named himself Yibo is also intently looking at him with a subtle smile on his face.

“No, that can’t be, they have different face although the same built as the emperor, no, wait, what if he was transmigrated to a different body, but no no no it’s too much for a coincidence, besides if he is the real Yibo, he wouldn’t know that I am here, right? Do not react Xiao Zhan although it might be too late for that, let’s observe first,” Xiao Zhan thought.

“Hey Mister Yibo, where are you from?” The villagers asked but again he didn’t answer.

“Do you like our shifu? You have been following him since you came here, are you sure you are not a creep?” One of the teen beta villagers asked, it is known in the village that this teen adores their shifu, he even volunteered to guard him last time.

“Aiyo, this kid, stop that, you’re scaring our visitor,” Xiao Zhan said and patted the teenager’s head and the latter blushed with the sudden action and shyness towards his shifu.

“Do you like him?” Yibo asked the teenager.

“Of course! Who wouldn’t like our shifu! He has everything!”

“Mn,” Yibo simply answered.

Xiao Zhan has been observing the man called himself Yibo, nothing is strange aside from the fact that he is still following him around and not speaking, it might really be a coincidence that he has the same name, or is he the emperor? I’ve called him Yibo several times though, but if he is, he wouldn’t be buried in the pile of snow, right? And can suddenly change his face, Xiao Zhan thought.

Every night, Xiao Zhan has been sleeping on the bed while his visitor is sleeping on the floor, but a certain night the visitor woke up in the middle of the night and met someone behind the house.

“What are you doing here?” Yibo said.

“Your Majesty! What are you doing! It’s been a week since you left the capital! Please return now and what are you doing here!” Xue Yang said but the emperor didn’t answer and only look at the house he has staying, and Xue Yang got the hint and see what’s inside the house.

“The empress! But how did you find him! We have already tried to investigate this village before but he’s not here. Ah, wait, this house, they told us no one is living here during that time! Those rascals!” Xue Yang said, during that period Youwen asked them to move first in another place and asked the villager not to mention that someone is living here since he got the news that they are looking for someone.

“He is using a name that only I would know, return to the palace now Xue Yang. I do not want to scare the empress that you’re here,” the emperor said.

“Wait, but what about your duties! Dage Xichen is half dead from working nonstop you know, poor da-ge, huhu,” Xue Yang said with dramatically effect of crying and added, “Why not just kidnap him and let us return to the palace?”

“He wouldn’t like that; besides I need to confirm something about his husband of this,” the emperor simply answered.

“Huh? Isn’t that you?” Xue Yang confusingly asked and added, “Don’t tell me he married another man!”

“Mn, the villagers mentioned it earlier.”

“And what did the empress say?” Xue Yang asked and saw the emperor with a bitter face.

“He just smiles at them happily.”

“Well, I cannot blame him, he always thought that you are in love with Xingchen and it’s been a year so it’s not possible,” Xue Yang said and suddenly a small knife flies near his cheeks.

“I’m just joking!” Xue Yang said and asked, “Honestly, I am amazed that you haven’t get your cover blown yet.”

“He has been conscious of me ever since I mentioned my name.”

“What name did you mentioned?”

“Yibo,” the emperor simply said.

“Why does it seem familiar? Hmmm…. AH! You asked us to investigate that name before, but you never said why are you looking for him,” Xue Yang said.

“It’s late already and he might wake up.”

“But we —”

“Go now Xue Yang, I’ll be back in few weeks, I’ll you some vacation when I get back and don’t forget to put talisman outside the village.”

“Wow really! I am expecting that so you should go back so I can have my vacation!”

Xue Yang left happily, and it seems like the Xiao Zhan didn’t wake up during that time, he watched him while him happily with eyes full of longingness. He touches some strands of the empress long hair and mumbles, “How have I missed you, I thought we will be reunited again after the explosion but why did you suddenly leave? You know how worried I am when I heard the news that they found you unconscious in your —” but before he could finish his sentence, he realized that a sword was pointing on his neck from the person on his back and he didn’t notice him because of he really wanted to touch Xiao Zhan.

“Who are you! Why are you touching him?!” Talu said in a low voice so he wouldn’t wake up Xiao Zhan, the back of this person seems familiar, but he saw a different side profile.

“Are you, his husband?” the emperor menacingly asked as he tried to summon Bichen that he hides it outside the village to avoid suspicion.

Husband? Talu thought, but he remembered that he told Xiao Zhan to tell the stranger that he already has a husband in case there’s an outsider and who followed him in his house, and during those times he acted as some to get rid of those suitors, but the villagers thought that they are only doing it for Xiao Zhan’s safety since he is living along and he often tell the villagers that they are just friends, but the villager didn’t know that Xiao Zhan is already married to someone.

“Yes, I am that husba—” before Talu could continue, a sudden force throws him out of the house good thing that the door is open, so it doesn’t create so much noise, when he realized, he was already pinned in a tree with a sword pointing his throat.

“You bastard! Wait, this sword, who are you?! Why are you using this holy sword!” Talu asked and the moonlight revealed the face of the man.

“You! How? It’s definitely not the same face as earlier!”

“I told you to protect him! Not to elope and get married! How dare you overlooked the kindness of your emperor!” the emperor said as he angrily grabbed Talu’s clothes.

“I told you I am only loyal to him and will only obey his wish, and you already exiled me and not allowed to enter the palace, so why are you sneaking into him like a creep?!”

The emperor didn’t answer and do not want to admit it to Talu that he is afraid that Xiao Zhan might escape again. He usually has a stoic face but right now, he can no longer hide the pain on his face, while the is arguing. They heard a loud thud inside the house and smell a familiar smell.

“Xiao Zhan!” “Wei Ying!” the two said and hurriedly went inside the house. Upon entering the house, the emperor was greeted by the sudden hug from the empress.

“Hm, you smell so good,” the empress said as he buried himself to the embrace of the man in front of him and starts kissing his neck, it seems like it was his heat cycle.

Talu knew that he cannot do anything about it, so he just threw the suppressant to the emperor if he wanted to use it, he didn’t know how the emperor managed to change his face, it might because his cultivation is high and can easily disguised other but he knew that he will not harm the empress unlike before, so he just left the two in the house and went back to where the Wen siblings are, after checking the condition of the empress.
