PMTHM! – Chapter 4

The shooting has started and the show prepared different games for the artist, they also moved location. It’s already 7PM and they already settled on their respective rooms and had their dinner, since it’s a vacation inn in a rural area it has limited room but large ground perfect for team buildings.

 

Wang Talu and Yibo shared a room but with separate beds, they are already used to this since both had experience in variety shows, and Yibo used to live in a dorm during his training days as an idol.

 

The shooting continues, that’s why Xiao Zhan didn’t have a chance to talk to Talu since they have separate rooms together with other managers.

 

During the last game where the prize is a set of midnight snacks with beer, so everyone gets competitive, even Yibo. He’s known as one of the competitive celebrities as well except for horror stuff. He’s transparent that he’s afraid of dark and ghost, even though he has a cool guy image. But he’s human as well so what can he do? Just be honest about it, simple as that.

 

“So, the game is Pair Dodgeball. Of course, we have the same prize for our hardworking staff as well, that’s why you need to choose a partner from our staff, any of them from your manager to our producers you can choose anyone you can trust!” The staff cheered as well.

 

“So, the mechanics will be, one of you and your pair will be the Queen/King and the other one will be the Knight. Since this is dodgeball and we have a lot of you here we will limit the space within this court for the ousted player. You need to go back to your seat and there will be no players outside the box since it is a pair game. The twist is you can hit the ‘Knight’ anytime who will act as a shield for their King/Queen and won’t get eliminated but if you hit the King/Queen your pair will be automatically ousted. Clear?” The producer explained the rule.

 

“Yesss!” Everyone cheered.

 

As the producers asks one by one the artist for their pair, of course most of them choose their bodyguard and some of the male actor choose their manager. Of course, Yibo chose Lele as well.

“I chose my Lele Da-ge, we’re working together for a long time” At first, he wanted to choose Xiao Zhan just to tease him, but he realizes that the man is competitive but due to his long legs he is a bit clumsy.

 

“Alright! We already know Lele Da-ge we’ve seen him on a different occasion welcome back to the screen Lele!” The producer teased and asked the last person “How about you Talu have you decided anyone to be your partner?”

 

“Hmm, yes. However, he’s a manager of a different actor but don’t worry if I win, I will still share my prize to my staff hahaha.”

 

“Oh, interesting and who is it?” PD asked.

 

“Xiao Zhan”

 

They are bewildered by the sudden announcement as Seoungyoun mentioned before Xiao Zhan is famous within their agency and everyone knows that he’s the only one who can manage Wang Yibo and Yibo don’t even let the manager to be on screen as the manager is a bit shy as well so he always wear face mask, but still you can clearly tell that he’s handsome and some of them already saw him without his mask.

 

“Oh, the manager with Ruifeng eyes! Come here Zhanzhan!” The PD called Zhan on his speaker. Of course, Zhan is a bit hesitant, but he doesn’t want to spoil the fun and stand beside Talu and Wang Yibo just glared at them with his stern face and follows Zhan with his eyes.

 

“Don’t you think that you’re at disadvantage Talu, since Zhanzhan is Yibo’s manager and how did you know him?” PD asked.

 

“Hm, I know that this guy is competitive and fair as well and we’ve known each other since were kids. We’re just busy so we don’t often meet but I guess this is the time to have some bonding with him, right Xiao-Meiren?” Talu proudly said putting his arms on the others shoulder while Yibo is silently frowning on one side as he watches them, he wanted to exchange partner, but Xiao Zhan answered.

“Haha yes I’m a bit surprised that we meet here” Zhan said.

 

“So, who’s going to be the Knight?” The PD asked again.

 

“Me, and I’ll protect Xiao-Meiren(beauty)” Talu teased.

 

“I should be the Knight though” Xiao Zhan said.

 

“Of course not, you’ll be hit by the balls multiple times if you’re a knight” Talu said.

 

“But you are the ‘actor’ here.” Xiao Zhan said.

 

“Uhm excuse me guys but are you guys flirting hahaha” the PD teased them.

 

“Hahaha PD you are funny Xiao-Meiren don’t know how to flirt, but yes I’ll be the knight so we can start” Talu said and Yibo on the other hand have his target from the very start and said to Lele.

 

“Da-ge that’s our target, Xiao Zhan you traitor.” Yibo said while glaring at two those friends, while Zhan is holding on Talu’s jacket to hide behind him.

 

“Yes boss” Lele answered.

 

“Ready, start!” PD declared, as time goes by each of the team were eliminated and as expected the battle of the night is between Talu and Yibo. Ever since, Xiao Zhan noticed that they are the target of Yibo’s team he informed Talu not to get close to Yibo’s pair, as Lele is a great ‘Knight’ and always catch the ball but along the way of targeting Talu-Zhan pair they eliminated several pairs as well. However, they are competitive as well, so Talu always catches the ball.

 

As for Yibo, he just wanted to finish the game since he’s getting irritated by the two.

 

“Why are they being so chummy with each other. He’s my manager though but he’s helping others to win. I’ll surely win this game and won’t let him have any snacks later. He’s a traitor!” he thought.

 

Each pair catches the ball every time they throw it with each other however Lele throws the ball with full power and both him and Talu tried to get the ball whoever gets it has a chance to throw it to Yibo or Zhan since they are both unguarded, everyone is cheering for both of the team however, Lele was still able to get the ball and throw it hard to Zhan’s direction.

 

Being a competitive person Zhan tries to dodge it but clumsy as he is, he tripped backwards on the small camera behind him, but Lele throws the ball hard on that direction and surely, he’ll be eliminated.

 

But still the winner is Zhan and Talu. How?

 

To everyone’s surprised Yibo protected Zhan as the ball would surely hit Zhan’s head and could’ve knocked him off, but Yibo failed to catch the ball since he got hit on the back. Zhan is surprised by the realization that Yibo got hit by the ball and following the mechanics if the King/Queen got hit by the ball they’ll be automatically ousted, and Wang Yibo just said to him. “You traitor” and leave the court.

 

Everyone cheered to an unexpected result and the PD gives them both snacks and beer since Yibo shows ‘sportsmanship’ and protected Zhan’s head from getting hit by the ball.
