Chapter 17

 

Xiao Zhan has been receiving a lot of calls from the producers of the show that Han-ge mentioned; they are just waiting for him to accept the proposal and he has been recommended by several managers as well. Haikuan gave him the capacity to decide whether he will join or not, but highly suggested doing so since it was one of the reasons why he asked to be transferred.

 

He asked the members for their suggestions and opinion, and ideally this is a good thing for Xnine, it will help them to have some sponsors as well. Although, they are idols most of them already had experience being in a relationship unlike him. He also asked some of his friends’ opinion and they told him to do it and it’s time for him to venture on this kind of thing.

 

 

Fanxing and Peixin invited him over to have a coffee and they met at their usual coffee shop. Supposedly Peixin needs to assist Yibo but when he mentioned that Fanxing invited them with Xiao Zhan, Yibo told him to go and report to him after. Apparently, the three of them received the invitation on the same show but the two of them are too busy to be part of the show given that they are the current managers of the top two actors from Yue Hua.

 

 

“I have decided, I’ll join the show, maybe it’s really time,” Xiao Zhan declared.

 

“You sure Zhan-ge?” Peixin asked, but him and Fanxing thought that they need to report it to their artist, Wang Yibo and Talu.

 

 

Xiao Zhan called Han-ge to confirm his attendance on the said show and Han-ge informed him about the meeting and discussion about the show. They will introduce each contestant during the show and play games, if they won the game, they have a chance to ask for someone to bring them on an exclusive date.

 

 

While on Yibo’s unit, Peixin report what they have discussed and open about the upcoming show, initially he doesn’t have any plan to join the show that is why he didn’t mention it to Yibo but right now he must since Wang Yibo asked, and he will asked him to join especially he is closed to the main host.

 

 

Fortunately, Wang Yibo didn’t intrude to Xiao Zhan’s decision, but it doesn’t mean he’s not bothered by it, the fact that he’s closely living with a bunch of idols made him mad and now he will be joining this dating show. One of the reasons why he couldn’t interfere as well was because it was Han-ge who personally invited his Zhan-ge.

 

 

“Hello Han-ge, good evening,” Yibo directly called Han-ge.

 

“Oh! Our Yibo!” Han-ge excitedly said since it is very rare for Yibo to call someone.

 

“Thanks for answering, Han-ge I would just like to ask something regarding the variety show.”

 

“Of course!” Han-ge informed him everything from the mechanics of the show and Yibo couldn’t care less about the other contestant.

 

“So technically Han-ge, you’re saying that we will also help our manager to date and if possible, for us to be a guest on the show, right?”

 

“Yep! Of course, if you decide to visit, everyone will be happy, especially if it is a dating show. You know how your presence can impact others.”

 

“Got it Han-ge, thank you and please don’t inform the other contestant who will be joining.”

 

“Alright no problem with that.”

 

“Thank you Han-ge, bye and see you.”

 

Xiao Zhan prepares for the shooting as they need to live in the same house for a month for the whole shooting. Yue Hua assigned temporary managers for Talu, Yibo and Xnine. This is the first time that he will be joining the show and with 24 Hours camera. The producers told him that he will be the last one to be introduced and there are 16 contestants within the big house.

 

The host welcomed the contestants to the main hall, and they prepared a buffet and some wine for them. When Xiao Zhan entered the hall, all eyes were on him since he’s the only one who didn’t know who the contestants on this show are as per Yibo’s request. Thus, the other contestants already anticipated him and since they were all staff from other artists, they are already familiar with him due to some shows and no doubt that most of them will try their luck to invite him.

 

 

Thankfully Xiao Zhan notices some familiar faces especially Mianmian, Fanxing and Peixin who came from the same agency as him. He’s grateful and shocked that they participated in this as well, at least it won’t be awkward for him to be alone with strangers, but that’s the point of the show.

 

 

But even before Xiao Zhan could talk to his three colleagues, some contestant surrounds him and introduces themselves.

 

“Hi, I’m Johnny Huang, we’ve actually met before, but I doubt you’ll remember me but I’m from Wajijiwa and previous manager of Wang Talu and currently handling other artist.”

 

“Oh, hi, nice to meet you, I am Xiao Zhan, currently I’m handling the Xnine,” Xiao Zhan politely said and bowed as a courtesy, while other participants introduced themselves as well.

 

What the participants didn’t know was that some of the celebrities were on the other side of the room and watching them. Coincidentally, Wang Yibo and Talu are on the same couch and Talu noticed how Yibo keeps his stoic and cold facial expression, he is really amaze by the self-control that he has.

 

“Thought you would hate this and do everything to prevent him from joining,” Talu said and obviously he is asking Yibo and talking about Xiao Zhan since he’s the only person they have common with. Although Yibo wanted to not to answer but he is curious about the same thing.

 

“What about you?” Yibo briefly asked.

 

“You know, as his childhood friend I need to see this, besides his mother asked me to take good care of him whenever we see each other, he’s naïve and doesn’t know much about this, I think,” Talu explained.

 

 

Yibo couldn’t disagree with that, he knows how naïve and dense Xiao Zhan was with this thing and didn’t even think that someone was hitting him, he just thought that those people are just being courteous with him by inviting him over for some dinner.

 

 

Though that’s a good thing for Yibo but since this is a dating show there might be a possibility that it was already engraved on his mind that these people are flirting with him and that would be a bad thing, what if he found them entertaining as well?

 

 

Thus, he needs to see this completely, especially Johnny Huang, who is obviously smitten to his Zhan-ge but who wouldn’t be? He is gorgeous, has a pretty smile, with attractive mole, plump lips, small waist, a kind person, he’s good at everything, and many more.

 

 

Right now, he is really questioning himself if he should just have stopped this, but he didn’t want Xiao Zhan to think that he is being nosy. He might look cool and composed on the outside but, he really wanted to draw out his Zhan-ge from this house.
