Chapter 15

 

Xnine has been receiving a lot of invitations from different variety shows and Haikuan usually let Xiao Zhan decide which shows they’ll be attending. The more famous the variety show the better, however since Xnine is a rookie group idol most of the invitations are from mid shows and less screen time, mostly just an interview segment.

 

However, Xiao Zhan received an invitation from one of the famous variety shows in China which is the Day Day Up. Haikuan officially asked them to attend the show and as everyone knows, one of the main hosts is Wang Yibo although he took a break from being a host to film his upcoming movies. But there’s a rumor that he’ll go back to the show, Xiao Zhan already knew that this might be the work of Yibo that’s why Xnine was invited in the show, and it was a direct
order from the CEO.

 

During the preliminary shoot, they went to a canola field to shoot how refreshing their group, together with the hosts. He also brought his own camera as he thought this might be a good idea since it’s a flower field. He has time to take a picture while his boys are on shoot. So, he took the opportunity to get amazing photos in the field, but while taking photos someone grabs his waist and whispers into his ears.

 

“Zhan-ge, you should take a picture of us as well!”

 

“Zhiguang! Aiyoo, you scared me!”

 

“Hahahaha you look funny Zhan-ge with your disappointed face, are you expecting someone?”

 

“Of course not, you just startled me. I thought I was the only one in this area. Are you done with the shoot?”

 

“Yes, we’re taking a break. But I didn’t know you had this kind of camera.”

 

“Ah yes, this is just out of the habit I used to be a graphic designer and photographer before being a manager.”

 

“Wow no wonder you are good with your hands!”

 

“Haha what does that even mean.”

 

“Can I see your photos Zhan-ge?”

 

“Sure,” Xiao Zhan lent the camera to Zhiguang and asked him to take good care of it since it was his first camera as a manager and he bought it from his first salary as a manager. But he received a call from the director, so he left Zhiguang with his camera.

 

While browsing on the camera, Zhiguang noticed that Xiao Zhan loves to capture the shooting sites with perfect symmetry even with foods. All the pictures on his camera scream ‘memories’ as a subject. But the only difference in his pictures are the images of someone. In all locations on the album, there’s always this certain someone, he looks ethereal even though he’s a guy himself. Even if it’s not an official photoshoot and all of them are like stolen pictures.

 

 

“You shouldn’t be looking at those pics.” Zhiguang heard someone from the back and quickly looked back to check who’s that although he already had an idea who might that person be due to his cold voice.

 

“Senior Wang, hello” Zhiguang said.

 

Yibo just looked at the camera and he knew who owned it. He saw the two earlier talking about this and even though he is a celebrity he doesn’t want others, even his fans, to take a picture of him as possible. Sometimes when in public he tends to ask the fan to stop recording, but of course except for his previous manager. Like he’s used when people compliment him but it was different when it comes from his former manager.

 

He knew that Xiao Zhan deliberately took his picture and just left it on his album. So, if he has a chance, he always tries to look good in every angle and he’s fully aware that Xiao Zhan is a good photographer as well. But he didn’t know why Xiao Zhan sneakily took his photo instead of just asking him as he is willing to do so, and he never saw Xiao Zhan uploading those pictures as well. So, he only has those copies.

 

So, when Yibo saw Zhiguang holding that camera he thought that maybe Xiao Zhan is taking his pictures as well and might see his pictures, he hurriedly walks towards Zhiguang right after their shooting and ask to give back that camera.

 

“But Senior Wang, this is my manager’s personal camera, and I just can’t give this to anyone.” Zhiguang said innocently.

 

“I’m not just anyone tho, it has pictures of me right.” Yibo said while giving his mean smirk to intimidate his opponent.

 

“Still no, Senior Wang.”

 

Wang Yibo just stare at Zhiguang without any emotion on his face and Zhiguang tightly hugs the camera. After the discussion with the director Xiao Zhan went back to Zhiguang but he noticed that he is talking something to Yibo and hope that they’re not fighting or anything as everyone knows there’s always paparazzi and some of them edit something just to make a ruckus.

 

“Yibo, what are you doing here? Are you done and where’s Pei Xin?” Xiao Zhan asked, and Yibo smiled brightly as he heard the voice of Zhan.

 

“Zhan-ge, you should join our table later on.” Yibo said as he turns his back on Zhiguang and talks to Xiao Zhan and gently grabs his hands. He’s already used to how clingy Yibo is, but this might be weird for Zhiguang so tried to discreetly remove his hands, but Yibo can manhandled him and his soft spot for ‘yeekies’ or Yibo’s cheeks. While Zhiguang on the other hand, thought that maybe his Senior Wang might have a personality disorder since this is a totally different person compared to the one, he’s talking earlier.

 

“Zhan-ge here’s your camera,” Zhiguang said as he gave back the camera to the owner.

 

“Oh, thank you Zhiguang.”

 

“Zhan-ge, you shouldn’t give your ‘personal things’ to others since it has my pictures.” Yibo said while leaning on Zhan’s shoulder.

 

“How did you know?!” Zhan was embarrassed by the thought that Yibo might get mad at him because he knew Yibo hates taking his picture when it’s not work related.

 

“Of course, that’s why I always tried to look good.” He said while snuggling around Zhan’s neck.

 

“Aiya, I’m sorry Yibo I don’t have any bad intention it just that you really look good during those times. It would be a shame to delete it.” Xiao Zhan said with red ears and tried to hide his face out of embarrassment.

 

Satisfied with Xiao Zhan’s answer, Yibo tried to tease him more and deliberately hugged Xiao Zhan in front of Zhiguang. Thankfully they are the only people in that area.

 

“You can keep it Zhan-ge and never ever delete it,” Yibo said.

 

While as a spectator Zhiguang thought that these two might have a relationship, that’s why Zhan was transferred to their group as a manager. Because from the third person point of view they are flirting and too much skin ship for a former manager.

 

“Aiyoo this is really embarrassing,” Zhan said as he still covers his face with his hands.

 

Yibo secretly looked back at Zhiguang and put his pointing finger on his lips as sign to keep it a secret and smirking while he kisses Zhan’s hair.

 

At that time Zhiguang felt a chill on his body and thought that the two looked like a lion biting a rabbit as it prey. He ran out the area with a flushed face, seems like Yibo is giving him a threat but he didn’t know what he did wrong, and given by his power and status he can still have Xiao Zhan as his manager so what’s really happening between the two of them. Zhiguang wanted to get close to Xiao Zhan since he’s really a good person but right now he’s really scared of Wang Yibo.
