Chapter 14

 

Yibo has been keeping himself busy and keeps on drinking alcohol every after he reached his climax. While his partner can no longer accommodate his needs and passed out.

 

“Haha why is everyone leaving me? Are you tired of me?” Yibo said while drinking on the sofa half naked.

 

“Wang Yibo”

 

“Zhan-ge, you are here,” he said while looking at someone who just entered the room.

 

“Let’s go home Mr. Wang, you need to rest.”

 

“Oh, why there’s two Xiao Zhan? One is sleeping here and the other one is standing here?” Yibo said, obviously he’s having delusions due to the influence of different alcohol that he drank.

 

 

“Hahahaha shit I’m so wasted! Of course, that can’t be him. You’re the next escort, right? Come here let’s start. Hey someone from the outside get this other man move him to other room” Yibo said sarcastically with his signature smirk and the guards in front of his room move the man who passed out in the other room. Yibo grab the wrist of the man in front of him and pinned him forcefully under him for some reason he wanted to kiss the man below him.

 

 

“Wang Yibo! Hey, let me go—” Yibo cannot resist the temptation of the man under him, so he pinned his hands above him and kiss him to cut him off. Yibo passionately kiss the man while the other man is struggling under him and trying to catch his breath.

 

 

“You taste so good Zhan-ge,” Yibo said as he starts kissing and marking the neck of the man under him but due to fatigue and alcohol, he loses consciousness.

 

 

 

Xiao Zhan starts his day by deciding what he will do during his day off. Even though he mentioned before that he wanted to have a work life balance but still, he doesn’t have any plan for his day-offs, so he decided just to work his freelance commission in a cafe since all his friends are busy to accompany him. This is a great time to pass time before going to Yibo’s unit like what he had promised yesterday.

 

Since Xiao Zhan unit is just across the Xnine’s unit, Zhiguang noticed Xiao Zhan when he was leaving the unit and asked “Zhan-ge! Where are going?”

 

 

“Ah, in a cafe then I have an appointment later on. Why do you need anything?” Xiao Zhan asked as he forgot that it’s their day-off since he used it to accommodate Yibo’s needs 24/7.

 

“Ah no, but I’m a bit bored. Can I tag along with you in a cafe?”

 

“Of course! Let’s go but don’t forget to still bring your hat and face mask, you are an artist after all.”

 

“What are you saying Zhan-ge, we’re still a newbie and I think no one will recognize me even if I walk out like this.”

 

“Haha what kind of mindset is that? It’s good that you’re humble but you should’ve strived to be the best idol group. Well, if you became famous you can no longer experience walking freely in public.” Xiao Zhan said based on his experience with Yibo, that’s the curse of being famous, where you can no longer afford to do the things, you like in public.

 

The two went to a cafe in Beijing and they spent most of their time talking about Xiao Zhan’s experience, the reason for Zhiguang’s joining the group and expectation. Xiao Zhan enjoys the company of Zhiguang and this is not a bad idea from time to time to have quality time with his workmate since they are on the same company.

 

 

“Zhan-ge if you don’t mind me asking but what’s on your neck?”

 

 

“Ah this, these are just mosquito bites.” Xiao Zhan said as he covered those bites and didn’t even notice it before going out. So, he has been walking around with this and his face flushed because of it. Zhiguang noticed this and offered a band-aid to cover it.

 

While they were talking inside the cafe, Pei Xin walked in and greeted them, and Xiao Zhan introduced them to each other, and Xiao Zhan treated and consoled Pei Xin as the tiredness is evident on his face. Xiao Zhan also asked him for Yibo’s schedule and mentioned to relay to Yibo that he’ll visit his unit around 4PM.

 

After getting his coffee Pei Xin went directly to Yibo’s unit to give him some hangover soup and medicine. Last night he recieved a call from Xiao Zhan and Haikuan that Yibo is in the club.

 

“Mr. Wang, your soup is here and medicine.”

 

“Mn. Just leave it there.” Yibo said as he tried to wake himself and walked toward the counter to eat his soup and medicine.

 

“Ah, I saw Zhan-ge & Mr. Zhiguang in a nearby cafe. He mentioned that he’ll visit you here at 4PM as promised.”

 

“Zhiguang?” Yibo asked irritably.

 

“Ah he’s one of the youngest members of Xnine.”

 

“They are in a cafe, alone?”

 

“Yes Mr. Wang, seems like they are talking about something.”

 

Yibo dismissed Pei Xin and thought that one of the members might hitting on Xiao Zhan, since it’s impossible for Zhan to invite his artist in a public cafe, given that the man cares about the public image of his artist.

 

Yibo still hates the fact that he’s no longer his manager and loses his appetite.

 

Xiao Zhan presses the doorbell to Yibo’s unit. Although he knows what his door codes are, he wanted to draw a line since he’s no longer his manager and there is no need to just suddenly barge into his house.

 

“Why are you pressing the doorbell, you know my code.” Yibo said through the intercom.

 

“But I’m no longer your manager I just can’t do that.”

 

“Suit yourself, I’ll not open the door since you know the code.”

 

Xiao Zhan sighed, if he’s going to do that he will just stand there forever until Yibo came out. He knew how stubborn Yibo is, so he just enters the code just to finish their business and enter the unit.

 

“Hi uhm Yibo, how are you feeling?” Xiao Zhan awkwardly asked.

 

 

“Feels like shit” Yibo said without looking at him and just concentrating on the tv screen.

 

“I am sorry, I know you have the rights to get angry that’s very unprofessional of me.” Xiao said straight to the point and bows in a sincere manner. He heard Yibo footsteps as he stands in front of him and looking down on him but still, he didn’t raise his head and wait until the man said so.

 

 

“Give me valid reasons while you asked Haikuan to transfer you, or you’ll resign.”

 

“Well, I’ll be honest. I really wanted to have a work life balance; you know your schedule. I really need some time or days off and I’m at the age of settling down and I need to look for a partner as well.”

 

Suddenly, Yibo grabs his shoulder and slammed his back on the nearest wall, although it’s not that strong it’s just enough to get his attention and look into his eyes.

 

“I can give you that! You should’ve asked me!”

 

“You can’t Yibo, you are busy, and someone needs to be with you 24/7 and I don’t think I can no longer do that besides —-” But before Xiao Zhan could finish his sentence, Yibo interrupted him while removing the band-aid on his neck.

 

“I see, it’s just a week since you’ve started working with other artist and now, you’re already enjoying yourself with your partner.” Yibo said while caressing the red mark on his neck and his lips as he thought that these are the marks from his partner, it’s obvious that Xiao Zhan has a sore lip which he doesn’t have yesterday and he’s pretty sure that this was a result or making out with other person.

 

“Huh, what are you talking about?” Xiao Zhan asked.

 

“His name is Zhiguang right? It’s obvious since your lips are sore, how passionate did he kiss you?!”

 

 

“What are you talking about Wang Yibo! Even though you are an A-lister star you shouldn’t talk to Zhiguang like that!” Yibo knows how protective Xiao Zhan is, especially to his friends and even with him. It should be him whom he should be worrying about not that another guy. But he knows that this attitude will not work on Xiao Zhan, and it will just push him away.

 

 

“I’m sorry Zhan-ge, I’m just having a real bad days and please don’t just call me Mr. Wang, call me like you used to,” Yibo said while leaning his head on his Xiao Zhan shoulder while he’s already trying to calm himself down and change his strategy towards Xiao Zhan.

 

 

Even though Xiao Zhan doesn’t want to admit it, he still has a soft spot for this kind of Yibo. He treats him as his younger brother but he’s too embarrassed to remind Yibo what really happened to his lips and neck but at the same time he doesn’t want Yibo to misunderstand him. He realized that Yibo may not remember what happened to him last night as he was really wasted. So, he sighed and decided to explain everything to Yibo.

 

“Alright but you, do you know what happened yesterday when you went to the club?”

 

 

“Mn.” Yibo simply answered, for some reason he’s guilty that Xiao Zhan knows it but sure it was because of Seung-youn and the fact that he’s thinking about him during his session with other guys to the point of seeing his face while he’s on it.

 

“What did you do then?” Xiao Zhan asked.

 

“Get drunk, sex and maybe the other manager and Seung youn sent me home.”

 

“Aiyoo, seems like you cannot remember everything then. I’m really embarrassed to say this, but you should really stop doing that and do not attack random people.”

 

“Attack random people?”

 

“Do you really think that I’ll get myself a partner in just one week?” Xiao Zhan asked and Yibo just shakes his head while still leaning off Zhan’s shoulder, but he thinks otherwise, he’s so naive that he didn’t even realize that that there were some people who wanted to date him.

 

“You should ask Seung-youn about last evening but for now the matters regarding me being your manager has been settled you should treat Pei Xin as well he’s a good kid,” still Xiao Zhan cannot bring himself to tell what happened yesterday since it’s embarrassing for him to tell as well.

 

“No! I’ll snatch you back from that group. Promise me that you’ll think about it” Yibo said determinedly while looking into Zhan’s face and noticed how red his ears are. Again, for the nth time, he just sighed and agreed to that, but he knows that it’s still depends on him but right now he wanted to follow his current career with the other group.

 

“Sure, I’ll think about it.”

 

“Thank you Zhan-ge! Don’t run away from me, you’ve been my longest manager I don’t want to let you go.” Yibo said as he tightly hugs Xiao Zhan and already devising plan on his head how to snatch back his manager.

 

 

“What are you saying! If someone heard that they might think that I’m your lover not a manager. But kidding aside, I’m really sorry for not informing you we can still be friends and hang out during our free time.” Xiao Zhan said as he pats Yibo’s back. He’s thankful that at least or maybe that Yibo has forgiven him and just having like a withdrawal syndrome since Yibo is used by his presence.

 

“You are forgiven Zhan-ge, but like I mentioned I’ll get you back.”

 

Yibo bids farewell to Xiao Zhan, he offered to drive him home as a prize for forgiving him, but this is his way to know where he’s currently residing, and his brother didn’t want to give him his address.

 

“Thank you Yibo and again sorry.”

 

“It’s fine now Zhan-ge, invite me next time to your unit.”

 

“Sure, drive home safely and rest, okay?”

 

“Yes Zhan-ge” Yibo drove away from the building and asked Seung-youn over the phone what happened yesterday evening.

 

“You didn’t remember who picked you up yesterday?” Seung-youn said amusingly.

 

“No, now tell me.”

 

“Of course, it’s Zhan-ge! Well, it surprises me as well that he pick you up even though he mentioned that he’s no longer your manager although I called Haikuan to asked someone to pick you up, still I’m surprise to see Zhan-ge went out of the room with you but his face is so red that evening so I thought that he might have some drink as well since your escort is no longer in that room.”

 

“How many escorts did you booked?”

 

“Just one of course”

 

“Got it, thanks.” Yibo ended the call with Seung-youn, and a sudden realization struck him, as far as he remembered there’s a second escort who entered the room that night and given by the embarrassed reaction of Xiao Zhan, he thought that might be really him. He thought that he’s just having some delusions and seeing his face everywhere, so that’s the reason why he wanted to passionately kiss that man and was able to taste his lips, to the point that he thought of booking that second man again.

 

He smiles at the thought that he left a mark on Xiao Zhan and thankfully that he didn’t get mad at him. Xiao Zhan knows that he’s really wasted that night and that might be the reason why he didn’t get mad. But he’s planning on apologizing to Zhan-ge so he has reason to talk or meet him.

 

“Zhan-ge, you are so kind,” Yibo said to himself while smirking, and for some reason this really makes him happy and thinking of wanted to taste his lips again.
