GUSU LAN CLAN (CLOUD RECESSES)

Assembly was held and people’s cases were listened. All the members of family were present.

The royal spouses were on the upper part and were supposed to veil themselves so that nobody can see them.

Everyone gets seated and as the announcement of Lan Wangji entering the hall was made everyone stood up.

Lan Wangji sits on the throne and orders “Begin the assembly”.

Everyone took their seats again and one by one cases were heard.Ministers told the emperor about the situation on borders, the Lan treasure, taxes , revenues and everything.

“Then the problems of commoners were heard”.

One such man came and start crying ” Your majesty, when there is one emperor why the rules are different to everyone?

“I am also a human and a part of the mainland then why is your majesty cruel with us?”

” The man raised his voice ” Why? When I pay the taxes on time and follow all rule, why this difference? Why is your majesty not serving justice to us?”

This angers one of the subjects and he yelled the man ” How dare you raise voice against The Emperor? Do you know , what’s the punishment of that?”

“I DO NOT CARE. Emperor should be kind to everyone but our emperor is cruel.” The man said accusing which angers Lan Wangji.

” Gaurds!! ” Lan Wangji shouts. ” Imprison this man now.” He orders and soon two gaurds took the man away.

The man’s wife comes ahead crying “Your majesty, please, have mercy on my husband. Don’t be unkind. We just wanted your help but you punished us. Isn’t it wrong?”

This makes Lan Wangji boil with rage and he stood up from the throne ” Enough! How come you people are being this disobedient”?

“Take her to prison too and whip both of them so that everyone can listen their screams. People should know how to speak with their Emperor and what happens to those who forget their places.”

He sat back and Wei Wuxian swallows the lump in his throat. He thinks “How cruel this Lan Wangji is? The people who came to ask justice from him, he punished them”.

“He isn’t a human but a monster. He did not even see the tears of that small child. How will this little one live without his parents?”

He glares at Lan Wangji and looks with pity at the small child,then he angrily stood up and turns around.

“WUXIAN came in front of everyone in the assembly but he was still in veil”

I would like to apologize for interrupting your majesty,”But I think you should listen to them first and then make a decision” he said firmly to lan wangji.

All the administration sitting in the assembly were surprised because this is the first time when a consort had kept his point in the middle of the hearing.

Didn’t even keep it, but petitioned Majesty in front of everyone to reconsider his decision.

Lan Xichen, Nie Huai Sang , Luo Qingyang and Jin Yao Everyone looked at him in wonder .

“Till today, even Lan Xichen never dared to interrupt Wangji in the middle of the hearing, although he is his brother, but he keeps his point only when he is asked”.

Then the Lan Qingyang said to wei wuxian softly :- “I think you should come back Consort Wei we’ll talk about this later”.

“You don’t have to create any drama now WuXian” she mumbled to herself.

But WuXian didn’t listen to her and kept his word firmly.

“And on the other hand, Lan Qiren was very angry and he was glared at Wuxian. If Lan Qiren gaze could kill someone, WuXian would be dead by now”.

Lan Wangji looked angrily at Wuxian and asked:- Consort Wei … why do you think that my decision is wrong.
“No one is allowed to raise their voice in the royal court People should bar within their limits or else they will have to face the Consequences”.

“Yes I agree your majesty, that he made a mistake by raising his voice. But it does not mean that his problems should not be heard. Don’t you think you should ask them what was their problem and why they raised their voice against you” wuxian said while hides his anger.

Before Lan Wangji speaks something, A minister said, “Doesn’t Consort Wei know that the decisions made by The Emperor are not questioned”.

Then another minister said that – “this omega does not even know how to talk. How disrespectful is he”?

“The Jiang family is a very respectable family, but it’s a pity they didn’t even teach him some manners”.

Then another one said that , “It is not the fault of the Jiang family, he is an orphan, so Madam Yu did not pay any attention to it”.

“After all, we all know he’s just a servant’s son and Madam Yu didn’t like him at all
so they didn’t teach him anything” everyone laughed at his statement.

Wu Xian was fumed with anger and looked angrily at the minister and said, “what my family has taught me or what not, we will talk about all this later”. don’t worry we have plenty of time for all these things.

“But First we should pay attention to what was the problem of the couple who have just been punished”.

Assembly was filled with many intelligent and talented administration and common people’s .

And this was the first time wuxian attending the assembly after his marriage.

“And many people did not like his fearless and courageous nature”.

So some ministers started complaining about this.

“How can Majesty give so much right to his new Consort , that he can interfere with Royal court matter. that too in full assembly”?

Lan wangji scanned the entire assembly with his sharp eyes even after so much drama his face had an impassive emotion and his eyes had stillness in them.

He was in no mood to listen to anyone’s bullshit anymore.

So Lan Wangji Roared :- “QUITE”

His loud roared echoed in assambly. everyone got stunned with his sudden outburst his shout zipped every ministers mouth.

First he looked with deadly glared at WuXian then looked at the child who was standing in the hall crying and was very scared to hear his voice.

He asked softly to the child :- “Why your parents had come here and what injustice had been done to them”.

The child kneel down and joined his hands said:- Your majesty, Lan soldiers seized my house And the cattles we had taken for milking were also confiscated by the Lan soldiers. They do a lot of injustice to us, That’s why we came here to beg for your mercy”.

Lan Wangji looks at the little boy, sweet and innocent, looking at him with so much hope.

“And he remembers himself when his mother and father died, his childhood was killed and crushed”.

“Release his parents, their land and their cattle. ” He order the guard’s.

“Now go home” He said to the child softly.

A minister frowns and intervenes “But your highness, They offended you. You should not release them.”

Lan Wangji shouts angrily” You. Do. Not. Teach. Me.” This shuts everyone.

Before leaving the assembly, the boy came near to Wuxian and bowed him.

Seeing this, Wuxian smiled slightly and wiped boy tears and said, “now you go home and take care of your parents”.

The little boy thanked him and went away.

“Assembly dismissed.” Lan Wangji waved his hand dismissing everyone from the assembly except wei wuxian .

He stood up from the throne and yelled at WuXian, “HOW DARE YOU WEI WUXIAN………. how dare you disrespect me in front of everyone.

“Who gave you the right to question my decision…. hmm….. what do you think yourself  WUXIAN”.
“You are nothing in front of me, nothing, just a snapped, I can kill you and your whole family”.

“I know very well that you can do it, What  you can do  other than killing someone and punishing someone”? Wuxian asked sarcastically.

“WuXian, the people you are raising your voice for are not from the Gusu or Jiang clan, but they are from the Wen clan you don’t have to interfere about it”, He said to Wuxian.

“Why? Does Qishan no longer come under the Gusu? Don’t you rule on Qishan,
Why this injustice when they follow the rules made by you”? Wuxian asked wangji .

“Cause I hate all the people that belong to that clan, What do you know about them I have lost my parents because of their FORMER CLAN LEADER WEN ROUHAN” :- he yelled at wuxian.

“Wangji eyes were red with anger and WuXian can see it, He could see the anger in Wangji’s eyes that was against Wen Rouhan”.

But Wu Xian could not contain his anger and said with raising his voice:-  “Just like wen Rouhan took your parents away from you, in the same way you were going to take away the parents of a child today”.

” Aren’t you became like WEN ROUHAN?……. Heartless, Ruthless, and a demon who didn’t care about anything or anyone”.

Wuxian take a sigh and said, you already killed Wen Rouhan and take your revenge . There’s nothing left now, you shouldn’t do injustice to common people of Wen’s. they are innocent.

“Why do you have so much concern for the wen clan…. oh maybe because your Ex- lover is a Wen and not just a normal Wen but “THE CROWN PRINCE OF WEN CLAN ” ,LAN WANGJI asked sarcastically.

Wuxian stared at him and said with a smile,
” i knew you didn’t have a heart But you know what today I also know that you don’t even have a brain”.

Wuxian proceeded to leave when Wangji called him from behind and said:- WHO TOLD YOU TO LEAVE.

“WHAT DO YOU WANT NOW” Wuxian asked irritated.

Punishing you…… WANGJI paused for a while and then said that “there is a punishment for Raising voice against The Emperor And you also desrespect me and moreover you called me brainless so you are going to take your punishment”.

“And I know that, because you know so much about law and rules, you will definitely complete your punishment”. WANGJI said calmly.

Guards !!!! “Take Consort Wei to the wall of Discipline rules and make him kneel infront of wall.

“And don’t let him eat or drink anything, also don’t let him stand up until I say” .
“so that everyone knows how to talk infront of The Emperor”.

He came near to WuXian and whispered in his ear, “ENJOY YOUR PUNISHMENT WIFEY”.

Then Wangji left the royal assembly.

Lan Wangji came to his chamber and started thinking about WuXian.

When Wangji saw WuXian for the first time, he had thought that he would make WuXian his “EMPRESS”. But when Wuxian rejected his marriage proposal, his pride was hurt.
So He thought of making Wuxian his concubine but he could not do so,  he made him his Main Third Consort .

“Wangji knew that WuXian hated him very much and he did not even know the reason behind his hatred” But somehow Wangji has given WuXian more reasons to hate him even more.

“Ever since he saw Wuxian for the first time, he has been feeling restless and every time he sees Wuxian, he has a strong desire to possess him”.

Something has changed in him since he married  to WuXian “For a moment, he wanted to punish WuXian as well as wanted to pamper him” .

On the one hand, he hates him , but he also wants WuXian to love him.

He also regretted that night when he hurt WuXian for disrespect his family and right Now that he has punished WuXian, he still regrets why he did it.

But now he’s reassuring himself that he did it because he wanted to teach WuXian a lesson. “EVEN THOUGH WHAT WUXIAN SAID WAS TRUE”
“He has taken his REVENGE, AND he already killed WEN ROUHAN, now he should stop doing hate to the Wen people’s .

“But if it is so then why didn’t his uncle or any of his spouses or ministers  stop him when he was punishing Wen’s couple today”.

Today was Wuxian’s first day in the assembly and he has already started opposing Wangji’s decisions on the very first day.

But he is even more angry at How dare the ministers in the assembly talk to WuXian like that.

How can he insult WuXian, how can they say anything about his family And the more he thought about WuXian more counfused he became.

The more he thought the more confused he was getting He didn’t understand his feeling for wuxian . “It’s driving him crazy”.

“So he take the FINAL DECISION that he would keep him away from court and royal places.
he didn’t want anyone to think that wuxian is important to him and he is staying away from wuxian”.

“He didn’t giving him any attention from now. Yes … that’s what he will do. And when WuXian feels lonely in the whole palace, Wuxian will come to him himself and won’t cause any trouble for Wangji”.

“No one could enter in Wangji’s room without his permission except Qingyang, so the guards did not inform Wangji about her arrival”.

When Qingyang saw Wangji angry gaze towards Wuxian in assembly she knew Wuxian going to get in big trouble today..

When Ministers Made Bad Comments on WuXian she saw a change in Wangji’s eyes. “she couldn’t understand all these changes in wangji on the other hand he could not want to hear a word against Wuxian and on another side he glancing at him deadly”.

She knew that this is not the right time to talk to Wangji, so she gave him some time to cool down.

When she came to wangji chamber and saw him intensely lost in his thoughts.

she kept watching at wangji in counfusion finally , after some minutes she sat next to him and asked straight:- “WANGJI WHERE ARE YOU LOST”.

She held Wangji’s hand and continued to speak:- You didn’t even realise when I came inside your chamber. i have never seen you that lost, your ears are too sharp and brain is too concious to notice someone’s presence.
WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT SO DEEPLY, “WHAT’S GOING ON”.

Wangji kept his face straight and said:- “NOTHING I AM JUST TIRED”.

Then he put his head on Qingyang’s lap and lay down Qingyang started massage her forehead. “He is more comfortable with Qingyang. it’s not because she is his first wife but because she is his childhood best friend “.

“From childhood till today, he has been able to talk openly with only two people, one is his brother LAN XICHEN and the other is his childhood friend LUO QINGYANG”.

After a long pause Wangji asked Qingyang:- “What do you think about that happened in the assembly today? what do you think the decision i made was wrong or right”.

Qingyang said straigtly without any pitied emotion:- Absolutely Right……. No one should raise his voice infront of the emperor.
“It doesn’t matter how big their problem is, but if they don’t stay within their limits, they will have to face the consequences”.

“And by the way they were Qishan wen people, what is the guarantee that they were telling the truth, who knows, our soldiers may not have done anything like this. i don’t trust them”.

Wangji was watching her face very closely and checking all her expressions and asked again :- “WHAT DO YOU THINKING ABOUT THAT LITTLE BOY”, “IS HE SAYING TRUTH”?

“To be honest, I felt pity for him, but that doesn’t change the fact that his parents had violated the decorum of the gathering”. She said firmly.

And I’m also glad that you punished WuXian, he should learn to stay within his limits. “NOW HE IS ROYAL CONSORT”.

“Every step taken by him will affect other people in the palace. Today he called your decision wrong, tomorrow more people will say.Anyway, the administration is angry with him, I don’t think you should give him so much freedom that he can insult you or our family in front of everyone”.

And I want to ask you something wangji :- You told me that you getting married with him because you want to teach him a lesson. “then why did you spend the night with him”?

Wangji smiled softly and asked her :- “WHY? ARE YOU JEALOUS OF HIM”?

Qingyang asked him while rolling her eyes:- “WHY I WOULD BE JEALOUS OF HIM”?

Wangji watching her jealous face and started to tease her :- “OHHH REALLY!! THEN LET ME TELL YOU THE TRUTH”

“IT’S TRUE THAT I MARRIED HIM FOR REVENGE, BUT IF HE HAD GIVEN HIS CONSENT TO MY MARRIAGE PROPOSAL AT FIRST ,I WOULD HAVE MADE HIM MY EMPRESS AND PROBABLY LOVED HIM TOO”.

“And you know how cute he looked in his sleeping state he looks like a baby bunny i want to pamper him so much”.

AND…..

Before he could say anything further, Qingyang covered his mouth with her hand and said angrily:- “Even if you say all this to tease me, I do not like it at all, I am not an omega with submissive nature who can tolerate your teasing and said nothing.

” I am an alpha So don’t try to hurt my pride. YOU BELONG TO ME AND ONLY ME”.

“if you loved someone, it was only me, just like you gave me the right to take all the decisions of Harum, you would have given me your heart too, but you don’t have any heart . You are heartless”.

“And don’t compare with me that Wuxian. i know, when you tired of him you came to me because there is no other option for you”.

Wangji was keep  looking at her face which was red with anger so he hugged her and said:- “I was just teasing you, now let’s go for lunch I’m hungry” and he drags qingyang with him.
