DC- chapter 33

Entered his office and pulled his jacket off wearing only his vest.

Zhan typed some works and finally he was able to fall asleep until he heard a loud music echoing in the room.

At first he thought it was from the outside but when he entered the restroom, it was sounding much closer.

He had put his ear on the walls to be sure.

What if there’s a secret room, one braincell whispered to him.

He turned his palm all over the wall and finally he got the main one..

A stair case leading to the music room.

He swallowed nervously and went up the stairs following the now deafening music sound.

He got to a room and found Yibo in the room.

Yibo’s eyebrow twitched, he eyed him dreadfully, his eyes rested on Zhan vest then he looked away, grabbed a champagne glass and poured a large volume of the wine and drank all down his throat in a fist gulp, dropping the glass to chatter on the floor.

“What are you doing here?” he grunted.

“I…heard the music s…”

“In the company”

He cuts in roughly.

“I had alot to do so..I decided to stay back and…”

“I don’t want to hear about it anymore, just get out of here.”

He mouthed, his brows arched tightly.

Zhan nodded slowly and turned to the door but then heard a mighty fall sound.

He turned and found Yibo lying on the floor.

Yibo had tried to get up but collapsed on the floor, Zhan’s eyes widen at the sight.

“Are you alright.” Zhan gasped and quickly rushed to help him.

He thought Yibo was drunk but as soon he touched his arm, he felt the scorthing heat on his own skin, immediately Yibo jerked his hand away from him.

“Get your hands off me” he grunted.

“You are burning up Bo” Zhan snapped, annoyed with his rudeness, he only wanted to help.

“Stop calling me that for christ’s sake and get the hell out of here.” He grunted again as he snapped his head up, the fever was visible in his bloodshot eyes.

Zhan decided to ignore his arrogance. “Your temperature is high, you have fever.”

“I am okay, I don’t need you now leave” He said coldly with his eyebrow arched.

Zhan ignored him again and offered his hand, but Yibo shoved it off as he kept on struggling on his own to get up to his feet.

Zhan watched him struggle, the muscles in his arms bulged as he hauled himself upright.

Zhan could see the huge effort it took him to stand upright as Yibo braced his hands on a nearby furniture. His face wet with sheens of sweat beads and his broad chest heave wit ragged pants.

Zhan shifted closer to hold him.

“Are you deaf, I said get the hell out of here.”

Zhan frowned at his childishness and ego, yes they’re not in good terms, but he is obviously very sick and needed help, the hell can’t he swallow his ego for once and let me help him.

“Why should I, when I am having so much fun watching you suffer you pigeon, I am only going to torment you not like I care.” Zhan sneered and smiled broadly purposely to annoy him.

“Get lost will you?” he barked back, his voice feverish.

Zhan shook his head at Yibo stubbornness and went ahead to put an arm around his waist, he could feel the heat, his fever was really high.

“Let me get you to the bed first.” Zhan offered.

“I can go to the bed myself, if you need someone to help my brother must be in need of a bedroom mate right now you should go help” He coughed.

Zhan knew quite well Yibo cannot get to the bedroom on his own accord, Yibo was literally leaning on him to get support to stand upright on his own feet, he looked really helpless and fragile but no he won’t admit it.

“I bet you will drop like a bag of beans if I let you go, you can hardly stand, aren’t you ever tired of carrying that big ego of yours?”

“You are annoying, I swear you are annoying!” Yibo yelled in frustrated.

“Englissssssh please! I don’t understand feverish.”

Zhan snapped and smiled at him, Yibo was really cute sounding so annoyed and even more cuter leaning more to him to gain his support yet sounding as if he did rather die than ask for him help.

“I am annoying alright, I am going to annoy you, now I am taking you to that bed, with or without your permission Mr arrogant.”

To his surprise, Yibo didn’t put up any more protests as he led him towards the bed, he gently eased him down on the large king size bed in the dim light, his skin was now slick with sweat.

He shivered uncontrollably and his teeth chattering as he spoke.

“Now you should let me be.” he mumbled.

Zhan walked out of the room but with a different purpose.

First I need to get his temperature down, let me try dousing him with cold water, Zhan thought.

“Well he actually left”

Yibo mumbled to himself and cursed.

“Not like I care anyway.”

Few minutes later, Zhan returned to the bedroom armed with a bucket of cold water and a small towel, he dropped them on his bed side and went ahead to open up the windows.

Yibo on the other side, watched him beneath lowered eyelids his temperature was so hot, yet his body was shivering uncontrollably, he can’t even open his eyes widely.

“Damn you Zhan one day without you I could hardly see.” he cursed.

Zhan got closer to him, he could still feel the heat pumping off his body, and also Yibo was sweating profusely so much that his pants got soaked.
