The Wang’s mansion’s set on a hilltop over two thousand feet up in the north side of the country.
Yibo drew to a halt outside the massive wrought iron gates set into a high mental wall surrounding the building.
For minutes, he wasn’t able to think straight, all that he could think of was the slap.
Easily he could have returned the slap and made that bitch regret ever doing the unthinkable but for some reasons, he hesitated.
He glanced at the driver’s mirror, his eyebrows arched at how messed up his face looked with the red finger marks.
He blasted his horn in some kind of code and the gates swung open on their own.
He drove in roughly and parked at the garage before heading towards the massive arched giant door entrance of the building.
White_jacketed servants stood by the wall from all sides bowing and so did the female servants in maid’s uniforms.
As always Yibo ignored them and walked across the big hall that leads to the living room.
The giant portraits of the Wang’s family were hung up on the wall, the father on a separate farme, the mother and three of their children except Yibo.
Before he was able to get into the living room, approaching him was a man in his twenties, they could have been mistaken as twins because of their outfits if not the hair color and height difference.
He also looked quite young, tall but about two feet shorter than Yibo, broad-shouldered and with a wolf haircut with this incredible smile that has got many women swooning at his feet.
“Hey you look messed up brother, don’t tell me, the company deal was canceled, eh?”
Yibo didn’t utter a word.
“You are not going to talk about it, huh?” the young man persisted.
Yibo walked towards the corridor that leads to the big living room, while Haikuan, his Step brother, followed quietly.
“Oh it’s you Yibo, your father was just talking about you, where is my sweetheart Haikuan?”
Mrs Wang, the second wife of Mr Wang, Yibo’s step mother.
She looked younger than her age like most fair people. She dresses nothing her age actually, always trying to be the sexiest woman alive, and wanting every attention.
“I am here mom” Haikuan waved, getting to the dining., his immediate younger twin sisters that were seated at the extreme end of the table, waved at him.
They are literally the definition of identical twins, sometimes even their mother can’t tell them apart, their freckles and long hair suits their pale skin.
“I hope you didn’t give him trouble, he seems to have a bit of a bad day” Haikuan chuckled, referring to his mother about Yibo.
“Of course not” Mrs Wang replied then she turned to Yibo who was about going to his room.
“Why don’t you join us.. Yibo?”
Yibo ignored her, this made Mr Wang angry.
“Don’t you dare walk out on your step mother Yibo!”
His father’s voice raged.
Yibo stopped without another haste to move.
“I have my own company now, I don’t have to obey your rules or worship your wife anymore” Yibo said in his mind but remained silent.
“Well he is definitely all grown up” Mrs Wang said.
“Reminds me of that bitch for his mother, I should never have taken him in.” Mr Wang grunted, taking in a cut from his plate.
“Come on honey, don’t say that, but I agree with you about the mother being a bitch.”
They all laughed except Yibo.
Haikuan chuckled loud, he covered his mouth and shook his head.
Yibo turned coldly towards them.
“You know Mr Wang, you can actually do better than using the same sentence over and over again about not wanting to take me in and all that, I never begged to be part of your family, more importantly stop being a jerk” Yibo dropped the bombshell and walked out of the living room heading towards his apartment.
A closer view, Haikuan noticed his hands shaking with anger while he said those words and smiled at that sight of his humiliation.
“He should be an actor, he is quite skilled but that’s definitely unlike him, he is usually not this sensitive to words, what happened to him? Haikuan debated in his mind.
Mr Wang was furious following Yibo’s statement.
“You little bastard!”
“Honey just let him be, he is broken enough.”
Mrs Wang said, calming him with a soft pat on the back of his hand.
“That is a harsh one for your heir apparent father.”
Haikuan said and walked over to the table, a maid pulled the chair for him. He sat down with a brittle smile on his face, knowing his father did think of Yibo as his heir apparent to the Wang’s family, after he had mentioned it.
“Heir Apparent indeed!, that little bastard” Mr Wang cursed with a hearty cough.
“Here you go honey, take it easy dearest.”
Mrs Wang offered him a glass of water.
“Thanks honey,” Mr Wang muttered, and took the glass of water from her.
Mrs Wang and Haikuans exchanged glances, as if they passed a message to each other, a message of the plan they’ve previously agreed on.
A plan to erase Yibo from the Wang’s family heritage.
Haikuan gave her the sign to go on, Mrs Wang nodded codely and scratched her hair, nervous.
“Why don’t you replace him then honey, you keep shouting and making it seem like you really hate him yet you are planning on giving him all…
“Let’s not talk about that Emily.”
Mr Wang interrupted bringing the discussion to an abrupt end.
The disappointment was obviously visible on Haikuan’s face, he crushed his fist angrily under the table.
He stood up and forced a smile.
“Excuse me father… mom.”
Mrs Wang nodded at him and he left the dining room, heading to Yibo’s apartment.
He opened the door to Yibo’s room and found him staring into the mirror examining his red cheek.
“Got slapped by someone as fearless as you?”
He chuckled.
“What the hell are you doing here”
Yibo’s deep voice hits him.
“Come-on for once be easy on your brother.” Haikuan said, leaning on the door, his hands folded and smiling broadly
Yibo walked to him and pointed to the door, his pale face red and rough.
“I don’t want your company.” He voiced.
“Neither do I, I despise you Yibo, you should have never been born before me, our family would have been perfect without you, I would have had it all.”
“And didn’t I make it clear to you every single time, get that into your tiny stupid mind, you can have it all, dressing up like me and wanting to be me is ridiculous, find a new life jerk, take whatever it is you think is important to me, that’s none of my fucking business!”
“Unfortunately, it is!”
Haikuan said smiling while staring provocatively at him, until now he never stood a chance to get him to talk this much, Something must have happened at that company. He thought then he noticed a mark on Yibo’s face and with a closer look, he found a tiny palm mark on his cheek.
“Who did this? the owner of the tiny hand, did she hit you and made you this soft? Awww!”
Yibo grabbed on his neck and pushed him vehemently on the wall.
The hit was massive, Haikuan groaned in pain, his eyes enlarged in fear knowing his stepbrother well, he swallowed hard, preparing for a fight.
“You want me to show you soft skills! take the whole world of Wang’s! I don’t fucking care! Now get your corpse out of my room, this minute!” Yibo yelled into his ears and dropped him roughly to crash on the floor and then headed straight into the bathroom.
Haikuan lying on the floor was still smiling until Yibo got into the bathroom, his smile slowly vanished.
He hits his fist on the wall in rage and glares angrily towards the bathroom.
As soon as the door of his room shut after Haikuan’s departure.
Yibo sighed deeply, his eyes closed in the shower cubicle while a therapeutic jet of streaming water pummeled his naked body.
He reflected on the scene at the company, he opened his eyes slowly and stared at the mirror on the wall, slowly he touched his cheek.
“What on earth gave that bitch guts to slap me? And why did I let him go?”
After a few minutes he turned off the tap to turn off the jet of water and he got out of the bathroom,
He got to his room, dripping wet with a towel wrapped on his waist, he picked his phone and stared at the unending message notification flooding in his dm.
“Hello Bo, I had the most horrible day of my life(sad emoji)”.
Well tell me about it, Yibo said in his mind and started scrolling through the messages.
Good relief he was online, Yibo thought.
“What happened?, are you alright?”
He sent his message and waited impatiently for him to reply.
“I slapped my new CEO! And no I am not okay, I am at risk of losing my job!”
Yibo wondered the possibility of this coincidence.
“But why did you do that?”
Yibo replied, he did notice the change in his heart rate after he said that, there’s no way it could be him, he thought.
Then his phone beeped, Zhan’s message arrived.
“He insulted my mom! I couldn’t help it, it wasn’t easy, I don’t disrespect men Bo, he pushed me to the wall.”
“Deserve it…” He sent the message then suddenly froze with a start of self awareness.
“Right! He is the most evil human ever, very rude and so full of himself, I loathe him! Arrrgh he is the most hated on my list! (angry emojis)”.
Yibo lost in thought, he wondered how bunny explained everything relating to his first day at work, there’s only one way to find out.
“Bo. Bo are you there, why aren’t you saying anything, I am so angry right now, I wish I had slapped him on both cheeks.”
“Bo why ain’t you replying?”
“Bo please talk to me(crying emoji)”
“I have a lot going on in my head now, I am stressed and depressed, you are the only one who can help me get better.”
Yibo closed his eyes tightly and fell on bed.

As soon as Jiyang returned to the sitting room, Zhan hid his wet face and quickly dried it up with tissue.
Jiyang noticed of course.
He put down the tray of fruits he had in his hand on the center table and sat down beside Zhan.
Glancing towards the dining to see and found the food he had set for hours now still untouched.
He sighed deeply and gently stroked his hand over Zhan’s shoulder.
“You’ve not touched your meal, you need to calm down Zhan. Honey you can’t continue crying over that fool of a CEO, you did the right thing by slapping the idiot, if you keep on crying then, your bravery is in vain.”
“I told you that I am not hungry Jiyang, I am, not crying because of him, I am crying because of my job, I put my all in it Jiyang, I worked so hard so that in times like this, I will be that person whom everyone can testify that I need no replacement, I know how hard it was to get this job at first, so many standards, and now I am left with nothing, how will afford my mom’s healthcare and expensive drugs, she’s everything to me.”
Jiyang pulled him gently to rest his head on his own shoulder.
“Honey, you are not doing this alone, I will support you in my little way, besides I won’t advise you to take back that job even if there’s a chance, he might call you back.”
Jiyang pointed out.
“A chance… I don’t think there’s a chance for me to be called back, he hated me as much as I hate him.”
“There will be, definitely but too late, because he won’t be able to have you back in company then, wait until he finds out how important you are in that company.” Jiyang replied softly and pecked his hair.
“You are not helping Jiyang, and why is it taking Bo so long to reply, I am so confused I don’t know what to do.” Zhan continued wailing.
Jiyang rolled his eyes.
“I think it’s high time you stop depending on your online boyfriend for emotional support, you put a lot of expectations on him, it will do absolutely nothing to help your mental health.”
Zhan glared at him.
“What are you saying Jiyang, this isn’t why I came here, I wanted to be consoled not get my wounds peeled off and then have salt sprinkle on it.” he cried more.
Jiyang smiled at him.
“I know how you feel, Zhan, you wanted to show your colleagues and everyone who had mocked you for not having any successful relationships that you can do it, but having a faceless online lover is just pathetic.”
Zhan looked away and frowned, drying his wet face.
“I am not doing to suit anyone, I love Bo and he loves me, he said that I am the only one that understands him, you don’t know our story.”
“Well I think I do, you have told me your story a thousand times.
After suffering from a heartbreak from your last date, who dumped you because you caught him cheating and confronted him.
You decided to try this trendy website you saw online, anonymously soulmates, so you are scrolling through when you saw, a post notification of a newbie like you too.”
“I need someone to talk to.”
“You wanted to reply then he deleted the post just a minute after making the post. Then you had this feeling you can be of help and chatted with the depressed soul privately and from there, you teased him for days before he could open up to talk to you about his anger issues bla bla bla, so you guys found out you are soulmates and fell in love.” Jiyang sneered.
Zhan pouted annoyingly, a little disappointed he missed some important line in the story.
“That’s not everything..” he mumbled.
“Tell me best, what if he is not your dreamy type? Have you two guys ever thought of meeting one of these days atleast, get to know yourselves better.”
Zhan groaned loudly.
“Bo and I, we share this deep connection that appearances don’t matter, don’t judge a book by its cover but contents and trust me, the contents are good enough for me.”
Jiyang shrugged and took out a tissue from the box on the table to dap Zhan’s face.
“Well if you say so, now… please eat something, you’ve been crying for hours, if you go home looking this pale. Your mom’s going to worry about you.”
“I am not eating until Bo replies.” Zhan whined childishly.
“Argh! For crying out loud Zhan!”
Jiyang snapped in frustration.
Then his phone ranged, he took out his phone from his pants pocket and answered.
“Well hello Haoxuan.”
He glanced at Zhan and shook his head.
“The Drama Queen is here crying himself to death.”
After listening for a minute or so.
He replied to him.
“I will tell him, bye.”
He hung up and turned to Zhan.
“You Ignored Haoxuan’s calls why? Well he wanted to know how you are doing. He said he will try his best to change the new CEO’s mind about firing you, he really cares about you Zhan, why on earth are you two not dating.” He queried getting an apple from the fruit tray to eat.
Just then Zhan’s message notification popped.
He quickly took his phone and opened it.
It’s from Bo.
“Hello Bunny.”
“You got me worried, I was scared you did think I was too rude and decided not to chat with me anymore.” Zhan replied.
Biting his nails, he stared impatiently at the typing notification till he received his message.
“Don’t say something silly, you are the one person i have to talk to, now imagine my world without you(world emoji)”
Zhan’s cheeks got stained with pink, Jiyang noticed and chewed the apple slowly to get every detail.
“What about something to make your day Bunny? (purple heart emoji)”
Yibo stated out of topic.
“(Sends a blushing emoji) Really?, what is it?” Zhan replied.
“A date, I want to see you Bunny let’s make this real, it’s up to you, fix a date for us(a red heart emoji)”
Zhan’s heart raced, his palms became sweaty and his temperature raised as beads of sweat summoned on his forehead.
“Really Bo?”
“For real, let me ask in a proper way then, do you wanna go on a real date with me, Bunny?”
“Oh yes I do! I do!”
He screamed out so loudly that Jiyang had to ask after his mental health immediately.
