Xiao Zhan
They have finally come to the mansion after 2 weeks of his accident but he was not back. His soul, his voice, his memories are still left there… he was happy there but then all of his memories were gone in a split of seconds.
The doctor said that he was healing but only physically not mentally….
He was looking at the window of their room, where he didn’t see water but just plan grass….
He wants to be away from these things… he was silently crying…. Fei was in his lab and was sleeping…
That makes him cry more…
He wants to speak to his daughter but the fear inside him can’t let him speak.
He still can hear Yibo angry voice…. you will never ever fucking open your mouth. I will make sure of that and then that belt lash… he flinched and look around… he was alone… thank god… he is not here…
After coming back to the mansion…
Yibo tried to maintain a distance from him and had gone to the office…
Mr Wang who looked very weak to him and sad…. kept him company…but Zhan can’t say a word just node made that poor man more depressed…
Mrs. Shuli who was shell-shocked when she saw Zhan conditions but she didn’t say a word just try to make him happy… which Zhan knows he will never be happy….
As far as Carmen and Ann is concerned they were indifferent to him especially Carmen who looks happy that Zhan was in such condition….
Ann who was almost 8 months pregnant locks uncomfortable and sympathetic to him but she also didn’t say anything to him nor met him…
All of a sudden there was loud bang on his door that made him come back from his memories and stand automatically and breath in a terrified manner and look around who was it.
It was Carmen standing looking down on him in disgust.
“Look boy now pity time is over and you have all the rest you want… but who will do the work here.. I’m sure you don’t want to disappoint me.”
Carmen said with an evil grin like Zhan will be punished if he doesn’t listen.
Zhan who was over caution and node automatically that made Carmen laugh in mock.
“Oh god… now you can’t speak… Thank god for that I’m so happy now I don’t have to listen to your hideous voice… now don’t wait come in my room. Ann time is closer. I want you to pack her things that she might need in the hospital.”
Zhan who was already weak and stressed out and was still feeling pain…. but he has no other options, he just nodes… He doesn’t want Yibo to get angry on him again as he can’t keep his mother happy.

In the Carmen room…
Zhan saw pile of clothes, toys, and other stuff a baby needs and there were some of the Ann stuff that she has to take to the hospital…
Zhan remember his time when he don’t have a single bag or any of this stuff when he was in the hospital or when Fei was a baby…
looks like his Fei will have to see much worse in the coming years because of him that made him more sad and helpless.
Ann come to the room wearing a lose maternal dress and was glowing and she looked at the room and said.
“mom. oh god its so many stuff… I think it is for like four babies not for one… mom, I love you.”
Ann hug Carmen and Carmen smiled gently and said.
“don’t be silly Ann…. you are giving such a big gift to this family, my grandchild will be loved and spoiled… and this is nothing wait when you will see the nursery I have bought some stuff too for that.”
Carmen looked at Zhan direction.
“You boy work fast… we have to manage this and also the nursery stuff… we don’t have a whole day to wait for your lazy ass.” She rudely said to Zhan.
Zhan who was exceptionally tired and weak from whole day standing…. he can feel an awful headache that he knows will go away from medicine but for that, he has to eat too and Carmen has not given a chance to take a bite..
He nodes slowly and start gathering things..
Ann who was little stun looking at Zhan and he heard saying to Carmen in a whisper.
“mom… he is just had a (Ann look uncomfortable) accident… we can take Xueli and other household staff help… even I’m also fine I can help.”
Carmen shakes her head.
“No way you are putting your hand on any this… you will just tell me what you need and what you like… and about this boy he just faking it… he is alive he can sure as hell work too… and now he won’t speak.. so we won’t be disturbed to here his disgusting voice.”
Carmen said mockingly.
Only Zhan tears were answered that in what pain he is living in and that hurt badly, even when he can speak he never said anything to them…
Ann was looks awkward and little hurt too on Zhan behalf but she didn’t said anything.
After long instruction from Carmen how she wants the baby room… what should be take things to the hospital… then again rearrangement of things.
As Carmen was enjoying torturing Zhan she also said again.
“Let’s redo this again I don’t want the things left out, so boy take out everything from the bag and reset it so that we can add and subtract more.” She sarcastically smiled.
Zhan feels fury and anger but he just took the bag and start working…
Zhan whole body was in pains, he just wanted to lie down, his headache was in peak and he was tired listening how Carmen first grandchildren will bring happiness in this house.
Ann who sitting slowly said. “I need tea, mom what you need. I’m calling in the kitchen.” She picks the phone.
Carmen was sitting in the love seat and looked critically at Zhan who was sitting down and packing stuff.
Then she replied. “Sweetie I will have a coffee.”
Ann dial the phone but she stops and asked. “Zhan do you need anything.” she lightly asked.
Zhan was hungry but a coffee will help him to survive a few more hours especially for his headache.
He open his mouth but no voice came and Carmen laughed.
“Oh my god…. have you seen that how comically was that… and why are you asking that to him… he had his all fun when he was in Miami.. Don’t you Zhan but he forget his place and look what happens to you.”
Carmen said in faked soft voice.
Zhan tears were falling on how some can make fun of someone disability like that.
When tea was brought and Zhan got a moment to breathe then Carmen said.
“Ann look at your feet they are swollen, Why don’t Zhan give you a foot massage.”
Ann was embarrassed and Zhan who just shakes his head that Carmen was in a mood to make his day more tiring and worse.
Ann said. “No mom I’m good it’s normal you know, it’s common in my situation.”
Carmen replied. “No you need a massage and you will get it… I don’t want my beautiful daughter in law to be tired and with swollen feet.. go boy arrange a tab with a hot water immediately and give her a massage or you know what happens.”
Carmen glare him in warning.
Zhan felt at any moment he will fall because of the fatigue and his sore wounds are felt like a burning oil pore on his hands and back, he control his emotions and obediently walk towards Ann.
It’s not like he was ever respected here….
He used to rub Carmen feet in the start, Now he can do for Ann…. mayhe after that he can go and have a sleep…
Zhan took Ann’s feet and start working his magic.
But when Zhan apply pressure he himself feel pain in his arms and hands. Which was bruised when he falls on the crystal at the time of his accident.
Ann who was awkwardly sitting and was wishing she was in anywhere than here.
But then there was a knock on the door and it was Mr. Wang who looked stunned and anger how Zhan was treated here.
“Zhan what are you doing you should be in bed, you knew the doctor told you… you need complete rest in that case you can properly heal… Carmen, you must be behind this… you know your son is behind this poor boy conditions and you are making Zhan work and also making him rub Ann feet…. whats wrong with you.”
He said in disgust.
Ann who was ashamed stand and said.”Dad…I didn’t want him to do that it was it was mom idea.”
Carmen who looked rigid and said proudly. “yes it was my idea and I don’t feel bad about it for once, this boy had his holiday now its time to work, and since James you know everything then in the case I want to pretend anything that I hate this boy… he has taken my daughter., our daughter Yifei.”
She said in sadness.
Mr Wang replied. “shut up just shut up…”
Then Mr Wang felt another twitch in his fall and he shakes but he controls himself.
He looked at Zhan. “come Zhan you are going to rest.”
Zhan takes Mr Wang hand and he walks away from there… Mr Wang kissed Zhan head.
“I’m sorry Zhan so sorry… I think I was so stupid not to realize how miserable you were here.. but it’s a matter of few weeks when you are ok… I will take you and Fei with me to London we have a huge house there… and no one will hurt you and Fei that my promise.”
Zhan smile…
For the first time he was happy after his accident.
He was going away…
