Haikuan asked Xiao Zhan if he could visit the agency to finalize his resignation as Yibo’s manager, regardless of the decision of Haikuan he decided to resign as a manager of Yibo, either he will be transferred to the admin or other artist or he will completely resign in the company and work as a graphic designer again in Chonqing. Either way he has no intention of informing Yibo about it.

 

“Are you sure that you do not want to inform Yibo about this? He chose you as a manager, even though he doesn’t want to admit it to you, don’t you think that he deserves to know?” Haikuan formally asked.

 

“You know hard headed he is, either he will force you to do the things that he wanted and besides you know that he doesn’t care if the manager leave or resigned, he didn’t even say goodbye to his last manager before me, and if I am not mistaken, he said before that he just chose me randomly. We’ve been working for almost 3 years as the now as the contract stated and you can say that I’m attached to him somehow, so, I do not want to be disappointed if he will not care if I leave, like what happened to his previous managers. It may sound selfish, but I think this is best for us.”

 

 

“Hmm,” Haikuan just nods, he cannot refute those since it’s the truth, Yibo did said and did those things, but he cannot divulge the complete information about his employment. Yibo will get mad at him if he said the reason why he was chosen as a manager, but as the CEO and brother, he cannot let this ruin Yibo’s current pace wherein he has less scandal, almost none thanks to Xiao Zhan.

 

 

Lastly, aside from this reason, Xiao Zhan is genuinely a good employee, so instead of him sending a resignation, Haikuan just decided to transfer him to another artist, where he can at least have more day off with less schedule compared to Yibo, of course Talu is already out of the list since he’s almost the same as Yibo.

 

 

Xiao Zhan has the maturity to handle people, so it will be a waste if he will be reassigned to the admin department. Although he has a background in graphic design, there’s no opening in that department for a long time and they don’t need new personnel as well. Although Haikuan loves his brother, he still needs to think about the company and if he gave Zhan a position in a company, Yibo might stay in the company as well and might not cause any commotion.

 

 

“Okay, after your contract with Yibo. I’ll give you your vacation that’s fully paid, treat is a gift for your hard work as Yibo’s manager but during those times please expect that I’ll send you the information of the artist that you’ll be handling. I’ll retain your salary and perks, but would you like to transfer to a different building since you are living across Yibo’s unit?” Haikuan said.

 

 

“Thank you so much Haikuan! That’s so surprising, you are really a good boss! And yes, I think, it will be better if I moved out like what I have mentioned before, it’s too big for me, you can just give it to Yibo’s next manager,” Xiao Zhan said.

 

“Understood, but you need to help in recruiting Yibo’s new manager, since no one from the company wanted to handle him hahaha”

 

“Of course, I’ll gladly do that I’ll ask for some recommendation and discreetly ask Yibo as well.”

 

“Thanks Zhan, you have a talent in choosing people.”

 

“I’ll take that as a compliment hahaha, I still have 1 and half month as his manager so you can send me the resume and I’ll review it at home.”

 

“Sure, and I’ll give you your new unit once we already settle to which new artist you’ll be handling and you should enjoy your vacation, but your contract will end while Yibo is at the Paris right, for the fashion week?”

 

“Well, yeah that’s right I’m planning to have the new manager to go with him. I’ll just talk to him regarding this and give him some excuse that I won’t be able to come.”

 

“What if he refused?”

 

“You know your brother Haikuan, he might look like a spoiled brat, but he has a proper work ethics when it comes to work that’s why I respect him.”

 

“That’s true, so what will you do during your vacation?”

 

“Well, I want to have a work life balance as much as possible hahaha and this is embarrassing to admit but I wanted to try dating as well.”

 

“Well, you are quite famous, so there will be no problem with that, but what if your ‘the one’ is just around you?” Haikuan said.

 

“You’re not hitting on me, aren’t you Haikuan? Hahaha”

 

“Hahahaha ooops, I know you are my friend as well and we are the same age but no Zhan hahaha, I just knew someone who is interested romantically with you.”

 

“Romantically interested in me, not to Yibo? Are you sure? ” Zhan confusingly asked.

“Well, I thought that you have a thing for Talu as well?” Haikuan asked.

“What are you looking at Zhan-ge?” Yibo asked as he saw Xiao Zhan busy looking at different profiles.

 

“Ah, I’m looking for the manager’s profile.”

 

“Why are you looking at them? You’re not an HR.”

 

“I need to choose an assistant and road manager as well.”

 

“Assistant? Why do you need one and we have Lele-ge if you cannot drive.”

 

“Erm, I have a problem in my waist lately so it’s hard for me to drive but Da-ge is not with you 24/7. So, help your Zhan-ge in choosing kay?” Xiao Zhan said, he’s not lying though, being with someone almost 24/7 is tiring espcially when you are always driving.

 

“Aiyoo Zhan-ge” Yibo said while mimicking Xiao Zhan and smug, “I don’t need a new person in my car.”

 

“Please? If you agree to this, I’ll do anything that you request for the whole day.”

 

“But I don’t need a road manager, just ask Haikuan-ge to assign for one if you are feeling sick or we’ll just ask Lele-ge”

 

“Well, these profiles are from Haikuan, so this has been approved already.”

 

“Hm,” Yibo just sighed he may always cause scandals, but he still respects his brother’s decision.

 

“I need you to help me in checking if they are okay with you.”

 

“I dont care, just choose anyone Zhan-ge.”

 

“Are you sure?”

 

“Yes, just choose anyone.”

 

“Uhm okay, I will introduce him to you once he accepted the offer.”

 

Yibo just nods and covers his eyes to sleep after they moved into their van. Xiao Zhan chose Peixin, he may be young but he’s the same as Yibo and they might get along as well. Besides, he was recommended by Fanxing, so, Xiao Zhan happily informed Haikuan about their decision and the HR process the employment of the new manager.
