Xiao Zhan immediately shook his head. “I can’t. My parents will scold me.”
He could already imagine Xiao Jianmin’s expression and tone when he finds out: you want to go to someone else’s home to do homework? What now? You can’t even do your homework at home anymore?
Wang Yibo said in regret, “How about I go to your house then?”
That’s even worse!
Xiao Zhan knew that his parents must’ve known about him standing outside of class with Wang Yibo by now. He was suspicious of Xuan Lu saying something to his parents, which is why they hadn’t mentioned it yet.
Wang Yibo felt even more regretful when he saw Xiao Zhan violently shaking his head.
“You can’t come to my house, but I can’t go to yours either. How about we stay in school together?”
Xiao Zhan started to tug on Wang Yibo’s arm on his waist. He felt strange for being in a guy’s arms.
Wang Yibo’s clingy personality also felt strange to him, but he couldn’t explain how so.
He replied, “Then let’s attend the evening study session tomorrow.”
Wang Yibo was satisfied right now and he stared at Xiao Zhan’s white and smooth face, having an impulsive to bite him.
At this time, the door screeched and Xuan Lu walked out of the office.
Once she saw their position, her eyelids suddenly twitched. “Wang Yibo, what are you doing?”
The two students raised their heads and looked over.
Xiao Zhan said, “Wang Yibo wants me to tutor him.”
Why is Wang Yibo’s arm on Xiao Zhan’s waist if he just wants him to tutor him? But Wang Yibo was shameless and acted casual. Even Xiao Zhan wasn’t anxious or anything.
This made Xuan Lu feel as if she had over thought and thought that this was the way guys got along anyway.
Therefore, she said, “Ok, quickly go eat. I heard that they changed the chef and the food is pretty good now.”
Xiao Zhan’s eyes brightened and tugged Wang Yibo towards the cafeteria.
While he and Wang Yibo finished grabbing lunch, Peng Chuyue was already wolfing down his food.
When he saw then, he immediately waved his hands and said, “The food today is delicious.”
Xiao Zhan took a few bites and agreed. At least, it was much better than the disgusting food from before.
Wang Yibo pinched his earlobes and watched his mouth covered in oil, asking, “Is it that yummy?”
“You’ll find out after tasting it.”
Wang Yibo grabbed the cabbage in his plate with chopsticks and faintly said, “It’s ok.”
Xiao Zhan picked out the meat in the cabbage and said, “Then taste this…”
Before he could finish, Wang Yibo had eaten the meat off his chopsticks before Xiao Zhan could place it on his plate.
Wang Yibo squinted his eyes in enjoyment and said, “It is delicious.”
Xiao Zhan withdrew his chopstick and murmured in his heart: how come Wang Yibo is so unhygienic? He even started to eat from his chopsticks. But since Wang Yibo didn’t even mind him, he was embarrassed to voice his opinions.
He poked around with his food and endured the peculiar feeling, continuing to eat.
Wang Yibo started to eat from Xiao Zhan’s plate again. There wasn’t that much meat in the cabbage and Xiao Zhan wanted it as well.
He was scared that Wang Yibo may take his meat away, so he hurriedly said, “Eat your own food.”
“I’ll give you my food, ok?” Wang Yibo generously pushed his plate over, but Xiao Zhan hesitated. He slowly reached for the red braised pork in the plate.
At this time, Li Wenhan suddenly said, “Brother Wang, what’s the matter? The elite student’s food is more delicious than yours?”
Seungyoun immediately raised his head and reached for Xiao Zhan’s plate. “Let me have a taste!”
In the next second, Wang Yibo kicked his chair and Seungyoun was taken by surprise.
If it weren’t for Zhou Yixuan who had held onto him, he would’ve fallen for sure. He said in confusion, “Brother Wang, what are you doing?!”
“It’s not enough for you to eat right?” Wang Yibo said, “Don’t worry, this brother will shove your head down a plate of food and let you eat enough!”
“…” How did I offend you?!
Xiao Zhan withdrew his hand from Wang Yibo’s plate. He was scared that if he took food from him, he might shove his head down a plate of food as well.

The change in chef within the cafeteria didn’t lead to much discussion. But for the past two days, everyone has been discussing avidly about what the principal was going to do.
Surprisingly, Peng Chuyue gained first-hand information and he asked, “What do you think the school is going to do?”
Xiao Zhan pondered for a while before asking, “Which wealthy businessmen had donated a research lab this time?”
Peng Chuyue said excitedly, “It’s different this time. The wealthy businessman is down to earth and really understands the hardships of being students. He donated a new cafeteria for our school.”
This was the first time Xiao Zhan has heard this. He couldn’t help but laugh. “Who donated it?”
“I don’t know.” Peng Chuyue said, “But someone guessed and said that it’s either a new student’s parent who wants to shove their children into the school or a noble student who can’t endure the disgusting food in the cafeteria. The person who donated a cafeteria and changed the person for the old cafeteria seems to be the same one.”
Xiao Zhan thought about it and then asked, “When will the new cafeteria be ready? Can we eat there?”
This was a truthful question and thankfully, Peng Chuyue also cared about this.
“I heard that the new cafeteria will be built next semester. That means, we can enjoy this for about a year or a half.”
Xiao Zhan was at ease now, eager for the new cafeteria and its food. He picked up his chopsticks and sighed with emotions.
“There are all sorts of privileges hidden in this high school.”
Peng Chuyue added, “I feel like being poor will limit one’s imagination more and more. How come people are so good at reincarnating into a wealthy woman’s womb? How nice would it be if I’m a wealthy second generation?”
He looked up eagerly and Xiao Zhan couldn’t help but grin. He also agreed, “Then let’s study and do our best to make sure our sons become wealthy second generations.”
Wang Yibo who was behind them strained his ears to listen, not interrupting until he heard their last statement.
He reached over to tug on Xiao Zhan’s clothes, asking, “Who do you want to have a son with?”
Xiao Zhan turned around and looked at him like a r*tard. “It’s not time yet, so how would I know?”
Wang Yibo was dissatisfied with his response. He was about to continue when the teacher suddenly stepped into class on the dot just as the bell rang.
Xiao Zhan immediately pushed his hands to the side and said, “Pay attention in class.”
Because Wang Yibo was too obedient, Xiao Zhan got into the habit of “ordering” him. After he finished telling him this, he faced the blackboard.
However, Wang Yibo had an icy look and poked the notebook with his pencil, writing down a few words in bold and cursive. “What do you mean?”
The paper ball landed on Xiao Zhan’s desk.
When Xiao Zhan was in class, he was usually never curious about anything besides academics. He directly picked up the paper ball and placed it in his pencil case, ignoring Wang Yibo.
He told Wang Yibo about this already, not to pass notes in class and to talk after class. Therefore, he wasn’t worried either.
But the same can’t be said for Wang Yibo. He has no memory so anything Xiao Zhan said could easily make him sensitive. Now, he was hesitant and wondered if it was just one-sided this whole time.
He felt confused and anxious when Xiao Zhan ignored him, so he passed another note.
“Aren’t we dating?”
He crumpled the paper and threw it on Xiao Zhan’s desk again.
Xiao Zhan placed it along with the previous paper ball.
This was a math class and the teacher, Nei Mingjue, was known for his strictness. He looked towards their direction and was a bit unhappy with Wang Yibo disturbing Xiao Zhan’s studies.
However, since Xiao Zhan sat still and remained unmoved, Teacher Nei decided to turn a blind eye.
When Wang Yibo hadn’t gotten a response for his two paper balls, he sighed and endured the irritated mood inside his heart.
He wrote another one and threw it over. “You better talk and explain everything to me after class.”
The third one was collected by Xiao Zhan as usual, placing it in the pencil case.
He still didn’t glance at Wang Yibo.
But in reality, Xiao Zhan was a bit ill at ease. He already told Wang Yibo that they would talk after class, so what made Wang Yibo disobedient to his words?
Wang Yibo didn’t know.
He pursed his lips and looked expressionlessly at the back of Xiao Zhan’s head, trying to piece some information from his limited memory. But there was nothing.
He got no answer.
This made him annoyed.
Xiao Zhan suddenly sat up straight; Wang Yibo was poking him. He knitted his eyebrows and had no option but to turn around and look at Wang Yibo.
He asked in a soft voice, “What’s the matter?”
Wang Yibo looked coldly at him and pointed at the notes in his pencil case.
Xiao Zhan turned around and grabbed the paper balls, subconsciously looking at the math teacher. Hm? Where’s the teacher? He quickly searched around but he felt someone tugging on his hand.
His pencil case along with the three paper balls were taken by the teacher.
Nei Mingjue stared coldly at Wang Yibo and said, “I don’t care if you have bad grades, but you shouldn’t disturb other students. Why are you passing notes in class? Can’t you say what you have to after class?”
There was a tint of anger in Wang Yibo’s eyes, but he endured this. “This has to do with me and Xiao Zhan.”
Nei Mingjue sneered and said, “Student Xiao doesn’t even want to talk to you now.”
Wang Yibo went to look at Xiao Zhan while the latter’s face paled. He murmured, “We, we are in class…”
“Do you see this?” Nei Mingjue scolded, “All good students know that class is in session right now. I can’t believe I even told Teacher Lu a few days ago that you’ve become a better student and we’re just waiting for you to surprise us with your exam grades next time. But guess what? You started to pass notes in class now! And you even disturbed Xiao Zhan! What you’re doing right now is destroying his future! Is that how you repay a favor?!”
Wang Yibo tightened his fist and held a stiff expression.
Xiao Zhan leaned against the window and everyone held their breaths.
Nei Mingjue could tell that Wang Yibo was on the verge of exploding. To speak the truth, there was not a single teacher who wants to offend him; after all, he had even beat teachers up before.
He reached over and crumpled the paper balls some more and placed the pencil case on Xiao Zhan’s desk.
He softened his tone and said, “I’ll let it go this time and I’ll keep the paper balls for you guys right now. Pay attention in class and come after class to get it back.”
Wang Yibo suddenly kicked a desk and his desk-mate instinctively jumped up, dodging afar.
Nei Mingjue instinctively looked back as well, only to see him kick his deskmate’s desk to the side, and walking out in large strides.
His eyelids twitched, only to see Wang Yibo stopping by the rigid Peng Chuyue. He gazed intensely at Xiao Zhan whose face was pale white.
He licked his lips and when Peng Chuyue believed he would’ve been thrown out, Wang Yibo said meaningfully to Nei Mingjue, “Teacher, then please don’t look at our notes.”
He withdrew his glance from Xiao Zhan and smiled at Nei Mingjue.
