General Nie got the news and informed the emperor who agrees to talk to the clan leader and his wife.

In front of the emperor

Jiang Fengmian and Yu Ziyuan kowtows in front of the emperor.

“Hail your highness! We request mercy of kind Lan emperor.”

‘Your highness we’re not the ones to offend the Royal scholar and emperor’s uncle, Lan Qiren.’

“Wei Wuxian is the one to do so but his highness he is just a child” , He didn’t mean to insult you and your uncle, “he just didn’t want to marry.”

I request his highness to show mercy on us and our innocent people.”:- Yu Furan said apologetically.

The emperor smirks and leans back on his chair.
“Fair enough, call Wei Wuxian. ”

Wei Wuxian is called, he comes and stands tall glaring at Lan Wangji. A servant beat his leg harshly and he get on his knees because of the impact.

He still didn’t stop glaring and again a soldier was about to hit him but he is stopped by Lan Wangji .

Still the soldier says in a harsh tone ” stop glaring little omega. Bow in front of the emperor”

But Wei Wuxian doesn’t and Lan Wangji straighten up. ” Dismiss.”

Everyone leaves and Lan Wangji walks up to Wei Wuxian ” you want to save your people?”

“I do.”

“Then, obey.”

“What do you want?”

” You. You’ve insulted my uncle, you’re going to apologise and also agree to the offer.”

Wei Wuxian looks at him with rage filled eyes ” I’ll apologise to him but will not agree to marry YOU.”

Agitated, Lan Wangji draws his sword and puts it on the omega’s neck. But Wei Wuxian chuckles which confuses Lan Wangji.

“Go on, kill me and get over it. I know your Alpha ego is hurt That’s why you are doing all this.

“You! What do you think yourself, omega? I’m marrying you so that I can cut your wings and cage you as a trophy in my palace. Don’t think too highly of yourself”:- He grits out.

Wuxian rolled hos eyes and said,:-
“Hah~ I already have someone I love. I don’t think emperor wants an unfaithful wife.”

Lan Wangji leaves his face and creases his brows. “Who’s that?”

“I won’t tell you” He berates.

“Is his name Huang Xu”? wangjie asked with a smrik.

Wuxian’s eyes widened and he asked nervously, “How…….. how did you know?”

Shouldn’t a Husband know this much, about to his soon to be Wife? Wangi said with a slight smile.

And yes that lover of yours will not come now.

“What did you do with him”? Wuxian asked angrily.

“Nothing just cut him out of your life” Wangji state softly.

Wuxian’s tears welled up and Wangji gently wiped them away.
This is just the beginning, you have already started crying, now you have to take another decision.

he looked sternly at Wuxian and said, “choose between the death of the Jiang family or marry me”.

“And yes this time you will pay the full price of your rejection so choose carefully” .

“I will marry you” Wuxian said with hatred.

“Very well. ”

Lan Wangji walks upto him and holds his chin forcing him to look up at him ” Was it worth the trouble? Huh!

“He leans towards him and wispers in his ears ” I always wanted to pet a wild cat, it’ll be fun to tame a wild cat under me and covert it into ” he circles the omega and stands at his back leaning to wisper in his ears again ” an obedient pet kitten.”

Wei Wuxian takes deep breath filled with rage and says ” I hate you.”

“I don’t care as long as you’re obedient me”.

Lotus pier

Wei Wuxian was taken to Lotus pier and Jiangs were informed of his marriage with the emperor.
“Wei Wuxian, head disciple of Yunmeng Jiang will be taken by emperor as his Consort.”

At night, Wuxian secretly went to Huang Xu’s house to find him.

“But when he reached there, he did not see anyone, the whole house was scattered”.

He also looked around for Huang Xu but couldn’t find him anywhere, And finally he accepted defeat and returned to the lotus pier.

He cried so bitterly all night.

” Then omega falls asleep due to heartbreak”.

Fleshback

After seeing Wuxian in Yunmeneg, “The emperor asked his spy everything about wuxian.

“Only then he came to know that Wuxian also has a lover , whom Omega loves very much and wants to marry him”.

But till now Wuxian has not told anyone about him.

And Emperor grab this opportunity “he wasn’t going to let anyone come between him and wuxian “so he, “got him out of his way”.

in the morning when Huang Xu wakes up, somebody kidnaps him and he’s thrown in front of the emperor.

Huang Xu got scared and asked, “Why am i brought here”?

“Huang Xu or should I say wen Xu”?
Huang Xu’s eyes widened upon hearing this, and he bowed his head.

“Shouldn’t I kill you? Your father killed my mother. You’re the only one remaining.”

Wen Xu looks down and then says ” I had no intention in taking revenge. I only wanted to live a happy life away from everyone. If I wanted to take revenge, I would’ve tried something. ”

Lan Wangji raises his eyebrows and states ” Fine, I’ll leave you but what will you give me in return?”

“Whatever you ask. I’m poor and has nothing with me.” Wen Xu says.

“Hmm. I have an offer, you choose, I’ll give you a small part of land, 20,000 gold coins and a beautiful untouched omega from my harem ” he offers and Wen Xu looks up in confusion.

“What does his majesty wants in return?” He asks.

” Smart.” Lan Wangji smirks lightly. Then with deep voice head raised up, he commands ” Leave, Wei Wuxian. ”

Wen Xu looks up and kowtows again “Please, your highness have mercy, don’t take away him from me. He’s all I have, anything else. Anything. I love A-ying ,dearly.”

Lan Wangji looks at him amused ” No, I’m not taking him away from you. It’s your choice to make I’ll give you all this and you’ll leave or fight with me”

“Think carefully, “Love is nothing but just an illusion”, “are you willing to give your life for this illusion”.

Wen Xu goes deep in thought and then takes a deep breath ” Fine, I’ll leave him but where he’ll go.” He loves me so much he will be heartbroken.

“Not any of your concern.”

He throws a bundle of gold in front of his knees and a scroll containing ownership of Land to him.

Wen Xu hastily picks up the scroll and read it, then picks up the bundle and his eyes glows of gold. Lan Wangji rises and passes him but he stops him.

“Your highness, you promised me three things. What….what about the omega you said?” He says.

Lan Wangji halts and kicks him on his chest due to which Wen Xu falls ” you said just now, you loved Wei Wuxian, what happened?

How forward of you, moved on so soon? “Amazing”. Your omega will be send to you on the mentioned land.”

Saying that Lan Wangji turns to leave ,just at the last steps he halts ” I warn you against meeting, Wei Wuxian again. If I see you near him ever, I’ll kill you instantly.” Lan Wangji leaves.

“Yes, your majesty.”

Present time

Well, Yu furen was happy as she will have alliance with the emperor. Soon, the wedding preparations were started.

Two days later, Emperor’s brother, first prince, Lan Xichen along with his Alpha husband Nie Mingjue enters.

He brings the betrothal gifts again the fine silks, refined jwellery and exclusive paintings. Lan Qiren was nowhere to be found as he decline to meet the omega again.

Before marriage

Yu Furen gave Wuxian a flute, and said:- “it is belong to your mother’s, Now it’s yours”.

“But remember never play it with sadness and hatred”, As long as it’s with you, you’ll feel like you’re with your family.

“One more thing WuXian, keep it hidden”.

“Never let anyone know that you have it, especially Lan Qiren”.

“Why what’s so special about it that I have to keep it a secret from everyone”? WuXian asked curiously.

” You’ll know when the time comes, just keep it a secret for now and don’t tell anyone Ok”:- wuxian nodded.

Wedding day comes and the whole Yunmeng was beautifully decorated.

As usual the three vows takes place, a banquet is held, guests hailed the emperor and congratulated the couple and Wei Wuxian is given a grand farewell. Madam Yu organised everything well.

Wei Wuxian is settled in the carriages and Lan Wangji mounted his horse.

Jiang Fengmian was sobbing silently, he went to emperor and pleads “I know, A-xian has angered the emperor but my boy’s heart is of gold. I request the emperor to forgive his childishness and try to understand his heart.

“He is tough but he melts on the mere act of kindness and affection”. I hope emperor will be merciful.”

Lan Wangji looks at Jiang Fengmian’s watery eyes and again something inside him flutters.

What Jiang Fengmian is showing is a father’s love and he is lacking it in his own life.

He dismounts and holds the joined hands of Jiang Fengmian.
“You’re elder than me, stop pleading. I assure his safety and well being in Gusu. ”

Jiang Fengmian nods and emperor again mounted his horse and sets on the journey.
