OHTL:-Chapter 15

“Wei Wuxian was sitting in the Carriage with his eyes closed . He was in a deep shock. He couldn’t accept that A-XU had betrayed him. He couldn’t accept what he saw, He wishing it was all just a dream”.

“This is not the Huang Xu he knew. The one who never tried to touch him, how could he leave him for another omega”.

“A few years ago, Wuxian met Huang Xu in the woods outside Yunmeng. Gradually, they became best friends and created a lot of memories together”.

“Wuxian and Wen Xu trusted each other a lot. And due to this trust, Huang Xu also revealed his true identity to Wuxian. And Wuxian decided to keep his identity hide” .

“When there feeling starting to change for each other they confess their love. Huang Xu became his comfort zone. He heard lots of things about Wen Rouhan but Wen Xu is not like his father. They are completely different from each other”.

“He always meet him near the forest, talking to him spending long hours sitting by his side on the grass or in the town shopping for which mostly he paid off”.

“However, the man treated him with utter care and respect. Never for once, he had tried to touch Wei Wuxian as he know for him , intimacy is meant to be for married couples only”.

“No matter, how badly Huang Xu wanted to touch and feel his omega he never tried once which was appreciated by Wei Wuxian. In the world where people see Omega like a bed warmer ,Huang -Xu treat him with respect and care so it’s normal for him to fall for this Alpha.

“As time passed their relationship deepened, They even decided to get married, but Wei Wuxian did not inform the Jiang family about them.Because he was afraid that the Jiang family might reject this relationship, because Huang Xu is poor”.

“So he was waiting for the right time, but before he could say anything about it, Lan Wangji sent a marriage proposal to him. Although, he knows that Jiang never accepted his proposal but he didn’t know that Wangji can’t take «no» ”.

“As he thought about himself and huang Xu, his heart ached as much. This is the brutal truth that he has to face. His best friend his A -Xu who he loved with all his heart betreyed him”.

“Wei Wuxian wanted to scream, shout breaking things but here he is sitting calmly with this so called man who is actually responsible for his misery” .

“Everything start because of Lan Wangji if he by any chance knows that before that he gonna face all these misery he killed Wangji already”.

In the carriage Wei Wuxian is silent which disturbed Lan Wangji.The emperor cannot understand why. Wei Wuxian’s face is not giving anything, he’s just silent.

Again, the feeling Lan Wangji is facing he cannot understand. He thought that by causing pain to Wei Wuxian he will feel victorious but nothing happened of that sort instead he feels cold and for the first time, he feels like he shouldn’t have done so.

He doesn’t know why but he asks the carriage to be stopped by an inn. “Your Highness, it will be not be safe for you to eat here.” Xiao feng the head Royal guard suggests.

Lan Wangji hums and says ” That is why I’m not wearing Emperor’s crown today. Do not worry no one can recognise me, just stop addressing me as your highness. Call me master or lord”.

Xiao feng nods and instruct everyone for the same. They go inside the Inn. And for a while people’s gaze lingers on both of them. They stare at how beautiful they both look and whispering starts around them.

He asks for the table and they move at the back of the inn. Wei Wuxian follows without any word. Lan Wangji reaches where he wants to. Wei Wuxian looks around and see the place is quiet and calm with a small waterfall. It’s beautiful.

” This is the place I usually stops by when I’m coming back from a journey. ” Lan Wangji tells him. Wei Wuxian nods and they take their seat. The sound of waterfall and the fragrance of cold breeze feels soothing to his gloomy heart.

The waiter arrives asking them what to eat. Lan Wangji orders for himself and then looking at Wei Wuxian, he says ” Ask from him”.

Waiter turn to him and Wuxian says ” Wine, whatever is your best wine.”

Waiter smiles slightly and then asked ” Have you ever tried Emperor’s smile? How about it my lord?”

Wei Wuxian nodded and the waiter looks at Lan Wangji like asking for permission and Lan Wangji nods.

The Waiter arrives with Lan Wangji’s food and Wei Wuxian’s wine. Wei Wuxian grabbed the jar and gulp it down in one go and ask for another. Waiter serves another. After four jars , Lan Wangji stops him ” stop. You should not drink anymore. You’ll get drunk.” He says firmly.

Wei Wuxian chuckles loudly, his eyes hazy and dreamy. “I will not. I have a good tolerance to alcohol. ” He says chuckling and ask for another which is served shortly after. And this time Lan Wangji is more firm “Not anymore. Come we need to go now.”

“No, i won’t go, i want to drink more . Bring me more” , Wuxian said nonchalantly.

“No , We don’t want anymore” NOW LET’S Go. Wangji said while grabbing Wuxian arm firmly.

Why, Don’t you Want to celebrate your victory ….. Huh. He grabbed Wangji Hand and instructed him to sit down . “Let’s Enjoy” He chuckled again.

“Wei Wuxian Quite already, Let’s go” Wangji whisper yelled because he don’t want anyone to find out there identity and Wuxian is already drunk.

Wei Wuxian stands up swaying a bit and then following Lan Wangji. But his steps are heavy and he stumbles. Lan Wangji supports him by gently holding him by his shoulder but he pushes his hands away and rebukes ” Keep your hands off me. ”

Lan Wangji takes his hand back looking at him baffled. ” I was trying to help.” He says. But Wei Wuxian chuckles mockingly, his step falter as he move ” Help! Hahaha. You already helped me enough.” he laughs loudly.

Lan Wangji takes a deep breath and quickly pays a piece of gold. He turns to Wuxian ” We need to go” he says firmly and huffing Wuxian walks forward a little bit dizzy but still he walks.

Wei Wuxian stumbles while climbing the carriage but Lan Wangji catches him by his waist. He looks at him hazily , blinking slowly. And Lan Wangji cannot help but gulp at the closeness, he can smell his hair, His face so close to his own, cheeks flush, eyes hazy.

He holds him and make him sit inside. The soldier close the door. And he settles himself. Wei Wuxian looks down and then looks at him softly but yet angrily. “You don’t have to feel victories. I will take everything back that you snatched From me . My Family , My Happiness , My love and more importantly my peace…….

I Hate You so much Lan Wangji . I haven’t felt so much hatred towards anyone except you. You’ve snatched my last hope of love. I believe what people say about you, A Heartless and Ruthless Emperor. ” He murmurs and closing his eyes, he falls on his seat.

Lan Wangji adjusts him comfortably and tucks a strand of his loose hair behind his ear. He feels the wetness where his fingers brushes across his cheek and understands that Wei Wuxian was crying, he whisper ” You’re going to be okay. ”

Then he took out the ointment and applied it to Wei Wuxian’s burnt hand and said that “some wounds need to be heal”.

When they reach palace, he carries Wei Wuxian and lay him down on his bed. Liu xi and Liu Yi comes running and bows in front of the emperor. Lan Wangji turns to him. ” Give him some lemonade or curd in the morning. ” He says and walks out of the room.

After Changing in his sleeping robes, Lan Wangji goes to bed but perhaps sleep is also offended by him. He tosses and turns in his bed but there’s no sign of sleep.

Wei Wuxian’s voice screams in his head ‘I Hate You’. “ You snatched my last hope of love” Although, Wei Wuxian has said these words before but why does it feel so unpleasant this time.

Why is he feeling guilty? Is he now culprit of Wei Wuxian? For the first time in his life, he is reflecting on his decision. Was his decision wrong?

People say he is cold and cruel, Maybe he is but have they walked down his shoes once. A heartless beast they call him. That’s what he calls himself too.

He doesn’t have a heart, his heart died and got buried beside his dead mother years ago. He doesn’t hold emotions like others. He should not.

After all, soldiers have aims, emperor has aims not emotions. That’s what Lan Qiren taught him. He has been a soldier and now he is an Emperor, emotions makes a person take stupid and rational decisions.

But if one wants to rule then one has to abandon them. In this deceitful world, presence of mind and politics are the only things that let an emperor live.

He knows people are vultures, hungry of throne and crown of an emperor and thirsty of their own blood. So, emotions are for fools, emotions will get you killed.

He reprimands himself. He doesn’t feel bad. Whatever he did, it was to teach a lesson. It was necessary. No one should disrespect him. He lays down and after sometime sleep takes over him.

Next day when Wuxian wake up he has severe headache. It’s not that he drank Wine for the first time, but this time he got really drunk. His heart break made him mad.

“Is it necessary to all the pains that come together” , “Is my heart ached less so now my headache also join him” he mumbled himself. He clearly remember everything what happened last night and that’s make him cry now.

He feel like he is going to die because of this pain. He wanted to breathe freely but his breath hitched now. He felt like he is in cage and he trapped there. After sometime a maid brings him lemonade So he drank it.

After drinking lemonade he stayed in his room because he didn’t have mood to talk to anyone. He is crying bitterly and want his lover back . Gradually, two days passed like this. And Wuxian did not meet anyone Nie Huaisang is worried about him so Lan Wangji is.

Third day Wuxian goes to Wangji personal training field because his anger gonna out of control now. he already break almost everything in his room. He has serval cuts in his hand and his legs But his anger does not seem to be calm. So he gonna do some sword prectice .

In training ground he practicing aggressively. It seemed that if anyone came in front of him, he would die. He was like a fire now his eyes held such a rage.

Lan Wangji was watching him from little far, “So you haven’t calmed down yet?”

Wuxian didn’t looked at him nor reply anything .

“I thought after breaking everything you were calm down but look like your heart broke really to bad”……. hmmm ……. I have an idea “If your anger doesn’t subside, I can call Wen Xu, you can kill him and take your revenge”. After all, it is because of him that you are…………..

Before WANGJI could say anything further, Wuxian attacked him, and he defended himself before WUXIAN’s sword was cut him.

Ohh….. ho….. Consort Wei ! this much anger that you want to kill me rather then that bastard who broke your heart. He said teasingly while defending himself.

“He cheated on me because you forced him, must have threatened him.” Wuxian state in anger and attack again on Wangji.

No ….. No….. Consort Wei i didn’t forced him or threatened him. i just gave him fairly choice that He has give up on you and in exchange i will give him treasure and an untouched Omega, or he has to beat me in Sword fight” .

And that coward choose give up on you …… It’s not my fault. You have to blame him. He said dramatically. When Wangji saw that his words were having an effect on Wuxian, and his attacks were getting weaker. So Wangji attacked aggressively.

And Wuxian startled for a second so Wangji take command and their sword clash aggressively . And Wuxian defended himself.

Now he know the truth but he can’t believe in Wangji .

“Why should I believe on you ”? Wuxian asked while attacking on Wangji

“When i asked you to believe me i just telling you truth” ……….. Wangji said defended.

The fight between then turning more and more competitive.

“Ahhh ….. A person like you tell me the truth, huh…. Is this any kind of joke . The person who used to give the death sentence to the people who belongs to Wen clan, leaves the Crown prince of Wen Clan just because he give up on me”? Wuxian asked sarcastically.

“Because he chose to live like a weakling” . Then Wangji attacked him aggressively and because of a really hard attack Wuxian’s sword fall on the ground.

Wow….. What an Emperor we have who killled innocents in the name of revenge but leave his own enemy just because of a mere Omega ….. Tsk …. Tsk …. Tsk ….. Wuxian said maockingly suddenly his eyes fall in Qingyang who is behind the piller little far from them.

Then Wangji held Wuxian against a pillar and said that ”even if he had not given up, I would make you mine, willingly or unwillingly, no matter what”.

“You think you can do it” Wuxian asked stubbornly.

“I can do whatever I want Wei WuXian. The day I laid eyes on you, you became mine. He held his neck and snuggle and soon I will claim you completely”. He suck his clean skin beside his mate gland and leave a hickey there.

Wuxian felt a shivered on his spine and his breath got hitched.. it’s makes him uncomfortable and the same time wanted.
This is the first time he felt this for someone.

“Then what are you waiting for” Wuxian said seductively. “It’s not like you need my permission” . He held other cheeks softly.

Wangji is little bit unpleasant of Wuxian behaviour ;“Why are you suddenly trying to seduced me ”.

“My heat is around the corner and i want my Alpha. also this time A -Xu is unable to help me then you can do it. I don’t mind …. They said everyone has their own needs i have mine although we are not in good term but still we can be useful”. He said while licking his lips.

Then he saw Qingyang to left from there in anger. The fine lines of tension and redness in her eyes are clearly visible. 

“If i have a hard time why don’t you take your share from it” . He thought in his mind . Till now he knows how much Qingyang possessive about Wangji. 

This time Wangji don’t find any innocence in other eyes Wuxian eyes held pure lust. “Stop sluting, you are a noble consort but you ask me help you like you are just a cheap whore.” Wangji state in disgust .

if Wuxian teased him he can take it or if he finds Wuxian’s innocence there he will be fine but it seems he is different person who he wants to claim.

Cheap Whore……… I just suggest you and you called me cheap whore. Then what called a man who own a haram included 5000 + Concubines ………… The biggest MANWHORE  . Wuxian replied in disgust.

“Ask me like a Wife and i will give it to you” and “no matter who are you with earlier, but now you are with me so don’t let me found out that you cheating on me or i will kill you instantly”. Wangji state while held other jaw tightly.

Keep …… Dreaming , only this kind of dreams satisfy you ……. Because this is the only thing you can do. Wuxian said while pushing him.

“You are completely on my mercy but still you have dare. that’s why i want you.

“Everytime you pushed me or reject me you give me motivation, that why should I have to break you to the point where you can only think of me”. Wangji said with a evil smrik.

“And about the heat you can still ask me lovingly i will help you to relief your pain”. Wangji said lovingly.

“You don’t have to worry i will find myself a Handsome Alpha for helping me”. Wuxian said smugly and left .

“This brat….. I will cut his tongue one day” . He said irritatly.
