HIME – Chapter – 23

Yibo : Xiao Zhan … I LOVE YOU..  I LOVE YOU FUCKING SO MUCH THAT IT’S KILLING ME!!

 

He confessed Zhan with his slightly raised voice which was trembling in fear of losing his love of his life. Zhan was shocked for a moment. His slightly widened eyes were staring at Yibo’s desperate eyes and drenched face. As if in shame, Yibo looked down and scoffed at himself.

 

Yibo : You probably don’t know but I have feelings for you way before you can imagine. Even I don’t know when was the first time when i fell for you. Was it when I saw you smiling for the first time? Or when we became enemies? Or maybe when I saw you with so many friends? I was attention seeker for you, right.? Its because I couldn’t bear you ignoring me and that’s why I always did something to fight with you. I insisted to go the same college as you because I wanted to be near you. But. . I realised my feelings for you when we entered in a college.

 

He looked up at Zhan who’s eyes were still wide opened. Zhan’s heart was beating so fast listening his confession after two years.

 

Yibo : It was me who seduced you. It was me who insisted to be my friend with benefits. Its not because I wanted physical relationship but I wanted to make you fall for me. I wanted you to feel the same like me. I did everything to make you my life partner. And just like I thought, my innocent Zhan really fell for me. He started having feeling for me. But … My-my mom saw us together. She went crazy after knowing her son is not like everyone.

 

Yibo grabbed zhan’s shoulder and his face was showing so much desperation. Yibo was looking into zhan’s eyes and searching some hope in it.

 

Yibo : But zh- zhan I tried to make her understand. I said I will not leave you. I tried to faught with her but she — she tried to commit suicide that day…. Luckily I stopped her on time or else…or else… I would have lost my mom that day.

 

Zhan was listening this felt so miserable after knowing what had happened that day. He knew something happened but it was beyond his imagination. Zhan’s eyes started burning before tearing up and his heart was hurting like hell.

 

Yibo : She said she can’t live after knowing her son is gay. She can’t accept the fact that the son she raised with all her heart is doing something which was so disgusting in her eyes. She said she will kill herself if I won’t listen to her. I was…i was scared. I didn’t want her to die because of me. So I promised her that I will leave you and do whatever she wants me to do.

 

Yibo : Trust me zhan I was more hurt while hurting you that time. I was dying seeing how broken you were when I said those things. That day I lost so miserably. I lost infront of this world, society and their norms. That day i realised that people like us don’t have basic rights in this society, we don’t have the right to love. Let alone people my own mother thought I was disgusting. She thought no human could do such things. So… So she tried to make me human again by stoping me from doing inhuman things. I felt like I don’t want to live in this world anymore. But .

 

Yibo smiled with his teary eyes and caressed Zhan’s face.

 

Yibo : You were the one who– who was stopping me from doing stupid things. Whenever I had some stupid thoughts, your smiling face popped up into my brain. I didn’t have the courage to die knowing i would never able to see you anymore. I felt so pathetic that it was killing me. You weren’t alone zhan I was suffering too. I—

 

Before he could say anything more Zhan hugged him tightly while pursing his lips trying not to make voice while crying. Yibo breathe out in relief and hugged him as tightly as possible. He broke the hug and caressed Yibo’s cheeks lovingly.

 

Zhan : Its okay… I- I should have known that something happened but I failed to understand you too. It m-must be hard for you. I didn’t know you have been living in f-fear all these times. You don’t have to suffer yibo, we will go and talk to aunty. She will understand.

 

His voice was cracking while saying that, and Yibo felt alive after so long. He grabbed zhan’s hand and kissed on the back of hands.

 

Yibo : Don’t worry about it. She accepted me the way I am. Maybe she realised she can’t erase my feelings for you. Or maybe she felt bad for me seeing my life turning apart because of her decision. She is feeling bad for you too. She regret her decision and told me to stop you from marrying YangZi.

 

Zhan smile while crying and felt so happy.

 

Zhan : See, its not like we don’t have rights. We just need to show some courage to fight for our rights. Maybe people think we are disgusting and doing inhuman things but slowly and eventually they will accept us. We just need to be strong. Our journey is special so obviously we have to face more difficulty than others. So never even think about leaving this world, Hmm?

 

Yibo nodded like a child while pursing his lips and Zhan laughed seeing his cute innocent face. He wiped Yibo’s tears with his hands and said in serious tone.

 

Zhan : Don’t worry about my marriage. I just wanted to make you confess everything so I planned it with YangZi. We are going to tell our parents that we don’t want to marry. But I need to attend the ceremony to save her face infront of so many people. Do you understand?

 

Yibo gritted his teeth showing aggrieved expression to him. Zhan smiled before scoffing in disbelief.

 

Yibo : She will not come.

 

Zhan frowned and again started worrying for YangZi. But he tried to control himself infront of Yibo and tried to ask as casual as possible to not make him jealous.

 

Zhan : What do you do to her? Look Yibo.. I don’t like her. And you know it. I can’t like her. So you don’t have to do anything stupid to her. She is just my friend like Ziyi. Nothing else. Okay?

 

Yibo : I didn’t do anything. It is Yuchen who is stopping her.

 

Zhan widened his eyes exclaimed in surprise.

 

Zhan : YUCHEN?!! Yibo when did you get close with him ? Do you know how dange–

 

Yibo : He’s stoping her by creating fake traffic so its not dangerous. And he offered me to help.  So you don’t have to be worried about YangZi anymore.

 

Zhan sighed in defeat and shook his head.

 

Zhan : Okay but we need to go downstairs and attend the event and apologize to them.

 

Yibo smiled and nodded like a puppy infront of him..

And just like Yibo planned, he stopped zhan from getting engaged with YangZi. YangZi didn’t able to come and told Zhan’s parents on call that it’s impossible to get out of this traffic before midnight. Yibo was quite surprised and amazed by Yuchen performance. At the end, Zhan and his parents have to apologise to all the guests and send them back. Zhan’s parents were quite ashamed and disappointed with YangZi and her parents.

 

Zhan’s mom : I mean why do they need to go Paris to buy a dress!! It’s so childish. Honey, I think we need to reconsider this marriage decision. Zhan can’t tolerate such type of girl.

 

Yibo’s mom smiled while looking at his son and winked playfully. Zhan blushed seeing this and cleared his throat.

 

Zhan  : Mom Dad you guys go and eat something. Stop thinking about it now.

 

Yibo’s Mom : Ahm.. Zhan Zhan is right, stop thinking about it now. Let’s go and have dinner with us. I know a very good restaurant that just opened few days ago. Yibo, you go and take Zhan home. He must be tired and mind your speed.  Don’t hurt my Zhan Zhan while driving.

 

Yibo smirked while looking at Zhan who was blushing after listening to Yibo’s mom.

 

Yibo : Don’t worry mom. I’ll take care of him.
