The Wangs Are All Evil

Finally, he stared at Zhan’s face and said, “No one can leave here without my permission.”

If Zhan couldn’t leave without permission, his personal liberty would already be infringed.

Zhan did not refute.

He was worried about Qiren now.

Although Qiren had sent other women to Yibo before, which made Zhan feel unhappy, he had no grudge against him after his conversation with Qiren earlier.

Moreover, Yibo must be very sad.

Thinking of Yibo, Zhan’s expression turned cold.

The corridor was silent again.

Although Zhouxuan wasn’t satisfied with Yizhou’s solution, she didn’t dare to say anything else.

After all, Qiren was lying in the operating room and no one knew his condition.

Suddenly, Yibo said calmly, “Call the police.”

His words caught everyone’s attention.

Zhan turned around and could only see Yibo’s handsome and perfect face.

Yibo looked down at the ground. He looked very calm, but the cold aura emitted from his body showed his current mood.

Then, he said, “Since you suspect that it was not an accident for Grandpa to fall down the stairs. Then call the police and let the police find out the truth.”

He said this to Yizhou.

Zhan clearly saw that Yizhou was somewhat surprised, as if he was very surprised by Yibo’s suggestion.

This made Zhan puzzled.

If Yizhou really suspected that Qiren falling downstairs was not an accident, calling the police should be considered a normal procedure.

Yizhou pondered for a moment and said, “Alright, call the police.”

Yizhou asked someone to call the police.

Meanwhile, Zhan and the Wang were still waiting for Qiren in the hospital.

Zhan had just got up, and he came with them without having breakfast.

Now that he sat down and waited for Qiren, he was a little hungry.

However, in this situation, even if he was a little hungry, he could only endure it.

The operation that Qiren was going to undergo was expected to be very time-consuming.

Zhan did not know how long he would have to wait here.

Suddenly, Bowen appeared in the corridor with some bodyguards. He walked straight towards Yibo, and when he passed Yizhou, he nodded slightly to greet him.

“Mr. Wang” Bowen stood in front of Yibo.

Yibo glanced at Zhan and said to Bowen, “Bring Mrs. Wang back.”

Zhan suddenly turned to look at Yibo.

“I want to wait here for Grandpa to wake up.”

If Grandfather woke up, I would probably be able to get rid of the suspicion.

Almost immediately, Yibo said in a cold voice, “I don’t want to see you here.”

“Yibo!”

“Don’t think that you can do whatever you want just because you are my wife. You are still suspected of pushing Grandpa downstairs. The reason why I asked Bowen to bring you back to the old house is to watch you and not let you escape.”

Zhan could hardly believe that Yibo had said those words to him.

However, Yibo’s tone was icy cold, and he didn’t seem to be joking at all.

Yibo didn’t even look at Zhan at all and directly instructed Bowen, “Bowen, didn’t you hear me? Take Mrs. Wang to the old house and watch him!”

“Mrs. Wang, please.” Bowen walked to Zhan and nodded respectfully

Zhan looked at Yibo deeply with a pale face, and then followed Bowen.

He never thought that he would be suspected by the Wang, and the reason for his suspicion was so ridiculous.

Even Yibo had said that. It was meaningless for him to stay here.

After leaving the hospital, Zhan got into the car with Bowen.

“Mrs. Wang” he said as he started the car, “Mr. Wang specifically asked me to bring you the food in the box.”

Zhan was surprised. He glanced at the seat beside him and saw a box. It had a logo of Golden Cauldron Club.

“When did Yibo call you?” After arriving at the hospital, Zhan stood beside Yibo and did not see Yibo calling Bowen.

“An hour ago.” said Bowen after thinking for a while.

Zhan recalled that they were still in the old house an hour ago.

Could it be that Yibo pretended to suspect me?

Zhan said with a hint of joy in his voice, “He called you at that time and asked you to bring food to the hospital to pick me up?”

“No.” Bowen explained, “I know what Mr. Wang likes to eat. The things he told me to bring are not his favorite food.”

Yibo instructed him to bring the food over and let him pick him up. Naturally, the food was specifically prepared for Zhan.

The joy on Zhan’s face faded. He didn’t say anything else.

He opened the box and found that it was full of his favorite food, but he did not have the mood to eat.

However, even if he didn’t want to eat, the baby in his belly was still hungry.

He still didn’t believe that Yibo would suspect him because of Yizhou and Zhouxuan’s words.

And he and Grandfather had gotten along very well in these past few days. He had no motive to attack Grandfather at all.

There must be some other reasons why he said those words in the hospital just now!

After thinking that, Zhan felt much better.

As Bowen drove, he looked at Zhan from the rearview mirror.

Seeing him start eating, Bowen heaved a sigh of relief.

Actually, Bowen still didn’t understand what had happened.

At that time, Yibo called him and only instructed him to bring food and pick up Zhan. He didn’t say anything else.

In the hospital just now, Yibo’s words towards Zhan made him realize that the matter was not simple, and he vaguely guessed something.

Seeing that Zhan had finished eating, he asked, “Mrs. Wang, why did Mr. Wang say that you pushed Mr. Qiren downstairs?”

Zhan sighed and said, “I don’t know, but I didn’t push him.”

***

All the Wang went to the hospital.

Zhan was sent back to the old house by Bowen, and there were only servants along the way.

He remembered what Zhouxuan had said before.

Zhouxuan was right. He was the only outsider in the old house.

Therefore, it was reasonable for them to suspect him.

Instead of returning to his room, he went to the place where Qiren fell.

Bowen obeyed Yibo’s instruction and watched him closely.

The police had already come to collect evidence. They cordoned off the scene and left, but there was little useful information at the scene.

Zhan walked up the stairs where Qiren fell, carefully recalling the scene at that time.

Now that the Wang suspected me, it could only mean that this was a plot.

A plot to frame me.

Who was behind the trap? What was his purpose?

Was he from Wang?

If he was, how did he manage to use Grandfather to lure me into the trap?

Why did he do it on the first day of the New Year?

Zhan walked to Qiren room, his mind being occupied.

The day before yesterday, he was watching TV with Qiren on the sofa, Qiren offered him and Yibo his best wishes.

Only a day later, Qiren was in the operating room, his life in jeopardy

Zhan was distressed.

He turned around to walk out, while saying to Bowen, “Let’s go.”

Bowen followed him.

Zhan went back to his room. Bowen guarded at the door the whole night.

Zhan said to Bowen before he closed the door, “Thank you.”

After all, Yibo asked Bowen to work on the New Year holiday.

“Mrs. Wang, you’re welcome. Mr. Wang asked me to work for him because he trusts me. He believes I’m helpful in emergencies.” Bowen said with his head down, being humble.

Zhan did not reply. He walked in with a faint smile.

Zhan waited for Yibo in the room. But he didn’t come back.

Zhan held his phone tight in the hand, thinking if he should call Yibo to ask about what was going on.

Even though he believed Yibo didn’t mean it when he said those hurtful things, Zhan winced at the idea of calling him.

Zhan didn’t want to hear his chilly voice.

When he had a miserable life in the Xiao Family, he wasn’t sad.

Now he felt distressed when Yibo was talking to him in an icy manner.

He was spoiled by him.

There was a knock on the door.

Zhan was delighted. Assuming Yibo had returned, he hurriedly got up to open the door.

The door was pushed opened. When he saw the person, his joy turned into disappointment.

It wasn’t Yibo, but a maid who delivered him food.

Zhan asked her, “Hasn’t Yibo returned yet?”

The maid only shook her head, put down the tray, and left.

While the door was open, he noticed that Bowen was guarding the door along with a few bodyguards.

He opened the door again and asked, “Did Yibo call you?”

“No.” Bowen lowered his head, avoiding Zhan disappointed look.

Zhan didn’t call Yibo in the end. He didn’t want to sleep, either. So Zhan lay on the sofa, covering himself with a blanket.

Being in a daze, he heard someone was walking around.

Although the person tried to be as quiet as possible, Zhan caught the noise and woke up in vigilance.

Zhan caught sight of a hunky figure. It was Yibo.

Yibo leaned towards him and raised his arm. Zhan didn’t know what he wanted to do.

Zhan sat upright and said, “You’re back.”

Yibo stood straight and looked at him with a poker face. He asked, “Did you have dinner?”

Zhan nodded and said, “Yeah. How is Grandfather? He…”

He suddenly stopped.

Yibo said with a cold expression, “The operation was over, but he is still in danger. It’s not sure whether he will wake up in 48 hours. Maybe he will make it. Or maybe he won’t.”

Zhan looked up at Yibo and met his cold gaze.

He explained in panic, “I didn’t push him.”

The room was deadly quite.

Yibo stared at him and remained silent, as if he was thinking about whether Zhan lied or not.

Zhan had always thought he was a strong person.

However, he was just a vulnerable boy in front of his beloved man.

His silence hurt him.

What he said next made Zhan feel depressed.

“The police will investigate the incident.”

Yibo didn’t have any emotions. His voice was still soothing and pleasant.

Hands clenched, Zhan said hoarsely, “Yibo, I don’t believe you. I give you a chance to tell me the truth.”

He did not believe Yibo told the truth.

Zhan stared at Yibo, his head held high. He decided to follow his heart and have faith in Yibo.

But his trust was misplaced.

Curling his lips, Yibo said with a sneer, “Zhan, I told you the truth. Do you really think you are kind? If so, you wouldn’t have asked the reporters go to the Xiao’s factory to take photos secretively. The Xiao Group was on the verge of bankruptcy because of you.”

He stared fixedly at Zhan, trying to figure out how Zhan would respond.

Zhan pursed his lips and stared back at Yibo.

Yibo was enraged by Zhan’s calmness. He came closer to him and said coolly, “You’ve even done much to frame the Xiao’s. They are your family. Grandpa is not. Who knows what you did to him?”

“I’m not a wicked person like Zanilla. I would never hurt Grandfather, my grandfather-in-law, just for the sake of Dilraba…”

Before Zhan finished his sentence, he was interrupted by Yibo. “Shut up. Don’t call him grandfather. You are not qualified.”

Zhan stood up and shouted, “Yibo! Did you lose your mind? It’s obvious someone is trying to set me up. You and your family are not looking for the real culprit. Instead, you accuse me! How dare you?”

Yibo narrowed his eyes and pinched Zhan’s chin. His dark eyes glinted with angry as he warned, “Watch your mouth. The Wangs are not like that. How could we do such a vicious thing?”

Zhan was in pain as his chin was pinched by him. But he didn’t make a sound.

Zhan glared at Yibo and said with his teeth gritted, “How is that impossible? The Wangs are all evil. You are most wicked of them all!”

Yibo’s face darkened.

Zhan was terrified.

But he couldn’t show it. He couldn’t compromise.

“You want to hit me? Come on, Kill your child and me. If you insist on accusing me and sending me to prison, I should rather have a miscarriage now. When the verdict is issued, I can go to prison right away. This is all you want, isn’t it?”

Yibo’s expression was complicated. Seeing that, Zhan was smug.

Yibo sneered in anger. “Zhan, do you know what you’re talking about?”

Zhan said with a snicker, “Of course. You’ve made it clear with your attitude. You think I pushed Grandfather down. If you want to sue me, go ahead. I’ll bear the consequences. What else can I do?”

If Yibo did not believe him and the Wangs insisted on suing him and sending him to prison, Zhan wasn’t able the turn the tables.
