Wang Yibo
“And they live happily ever after… so that was the end and now it’s your bedtime.”
Yibo closed the storybook and kissed loving to Fei head.. whose head was laying on his chest.
Fei yawn and cutely said “daddy can you sleep here.”
Yibo smiled “I love too but daddy has some work to do and you know if you need me you can click this button ok but I’m here till the time you sleep.”
Fei nodded and said “ok daddy goodnight.”
Yibo protectively hold her. “good night princess.”
When Fei was in her deep sleep Yibo slowly get out of the bed and put the quilt on her and kissed her cheeks…
He checked the camera he put on her room.
He gets out and went directly to his office… he was in the middle of the work when his phone ring..
He looks at the time it was almost 11 in the night.
He picked the call. “hello this Wang Yibo speaking.”
The caller said. “Sir this is from central jail… we wanted to inform you your wife has tried to commit suicide… we have taken him to city hospital…. we just wanted to inform you that his brother is out of reach and you were his next of his contact list after Xiao Cheng so please come immediately to the hospital.”
Yibo dropped the phone….. he was not shocked he was numb…. Zhan… Zhan try to kill himself?
His eyes were bulging out he was going insane… why… but why Zhan did that… did something happen to him… or he finally gives it up?
Yibo shakily stands… and try to find a way to get out… but he was so lost… he was breathing loudly… he grabs his hair… he try to calm his breathing… Zhan is fine.. Zhan is fine…
“But he was, not that’s why he tries to kill himself.” He yelled.
He run and grab his car key and wallet and run to his car….
But then he saw Haikuan getting out of his car and he was looking confused. “Yibo what’s wrong you look like hell.”
Yibo closed his eyes “I have to go.”
Haikuan grab his arm. “Yibo calm down where you have to go?”
“Hospital just fucking leave me.” Yibo shout.
Haikuan replied. “But why… dad… something happens to dad.” he said in a panic.
Yibo shakes his head in hurried motion. “No he is fine.. it… its Zhan.. he tries to kill himself.”
Haikuan paled at the news. “what.”
Yibo opens his car door. “Look I have to go just check Fei I don’t know when I will be back.”
But Haikuan still not move and he said in a dead tone. “I don’t think you should go.”
Yibo raised his eyebrow in anger “and why the fuck not.”
Haikuan sighs “cause he is nobody to us…. he was nothing to us when he was convicted for Yifei murder case and I think it’s God justice.. what our sister has gone through now that bitch is going through… now he will know karma was really a bitch.”
Yibo lost it and punch him that leave Haikuan in shocked. “fuck you… he is my wife… he is my daughter mother… you fuker… he did what he did and he is punished for that but I will not leave him like this.”
Yibo did not wait for Haikuan response and drive like a crazy person.

Xiao Cheng
“That’s what you found.” Cheng asked the man.
The man nodes. “I know it’s not enough but well enough to know how to cater those people who give a statement against your brother.”
Cheng rubbed his jaw. “So this waitress will confess that’s what you are saying?”
The man node. “Mr Xiao I know my job and I know this waitress will confess because she is already in distress and need of help… she was already feeling guilty what she did but she is also scared… she was still not telling the name of the person who gives her the money to give false statements in the court.”
Cheng closed his eyes. “Who it can be? who wants Zhan behind the bar?.. and why this waitress is scared?”
The man replied. “My guess that person she is afraid of is the same who was really behind Yifei death… maybe he or she wants Zhan to be blamed for the crime they did.”
Cheng gives him an understanding node.
“and what about the tape. CCTV footage of that area when Xiao Jun and Yifei took off and what was their last stopped. I’m sure we can find some footage of that.”
The man replied about that…
“I asked some tech guy who is working in a government agency, after a long research he just found out, that night of 12 dec the CCTV footage was fabricated and that tape was given to Wang’s when they were doing there own investigation… I asked him to retrieve the original one… he told me to give him a few days.”
Cheng sighs in anger. “fuck… whats happening here.”
The man stands. “Don’t worry about the tape I will find out, them but I will suggest you go to China and talk to that waitress maybe you can take her into confidence and then she tells you the truth and who was involved.”
Cheng shake hand with the man. “Thanks a lot. I can’t tell you how much grateful I am!”
The man shrugs “i’m just doing my job.”
When the man was gone Cheng took out his family picture when they all live together and were happy..
He smiled at Zhan innocent face.
“Brother don’t worry you will be soon out of this hell… you will be happy again.” He said in an emotional tone.
Then his phone ring.
He picked the phone and listen who it was… he just said hello.. then the caller told him that his brother tries to kill himself…
He dropped his phone “Zhan…..(he put his hand on his mouth) Zhan why.”

Wang Yibo
He runs inside the hospital and starts asking people where Xiao Zhan then he saw some police officer and saw they were standing outside the ICU….
He was breathless. “my… my wife. I have to see him.”
But the officers stop him. “Sorry sir.. you can’t go inside he is still a prisoner and right now you need the permission from the main office to meet him.”
Yibo lost it. “Then why the hell I was called when I can’t see him.”
But the Yibo saw a doctor coming out of ICU room and he said in fear.
“Doctor my wife… Zhan… what happen….. is he ok… and why he did it?” Yibo asked everything in one go.
The doctor gives him understanding look. “Sir I will tell you everything please calm down and please come in my office we will talk there.”
Yibo looks towards the door where Zhan was there but he node absently and walked with the doctor.
Doctor give him some water and said. “I can understand what you are feeling.”
Yibo shouted. “The hell you can.. just tell me is smhe ok.. will he (he hesitate) will he live?”
Doctor sighs. “Sir all I can say… the police brought him little late here.. he already lost a lot of blood… we are trying our best but he is in a coma right now, all I can say we are waiting for him to respond in any form otherwise we can’t say much…”
Yibo become more paled and he fell like throwing up. “What why…. why he killed himself.”
The doctor looks down. “I don’t know about this all i know he was in bad condition when he was brought here….. you have to ask this from the officers.”
Yibo was speechless then he said “can I see him.”
The doctor looked at him and nodes “ok but only for five minutes.”
Yibo walks slowly and waits for the officer to open the door and let him go inside.
He closes his eyes like he was expected to see him fine as Zhan uses too but when he opened his eyes he got a kick in his gut.
This is not the Zhan he was expected to see… this Zhan was covered in tubes… his wrist was covered in bandages…. he looked he was in his deathbed… he was breathing but still not living…
Yibo sits down… and saw him properly after one year… Zhan looks different and he is so weak… his bones were literally poking out… did they not feed him well….
But why do you care… his inner self-talked to him… this is what you wanted… you wanted him to be miserable and died terribly and be alone… like Yifei was once but aren’t you happy Yibo.
He has no idea why he is feeling so guilty…
Why… maybe he never give Zhan any happiness…. treated him like shit.. or maybe Zhan is in his losing end and now he realized that he will never get the chance to apologize and move on….
Maybe that’s why he can’t move on because even knowing Yifei is death because of Zhan but Zhan already bear the punishment worse than anybody…
Sometimes without any reason, he felt his tears but he control them.. the light grace Zhan cheeks… Zhan can’t survive he can see that…
He had seen Zhan in such conditions more than once… first when he literally starve him to death by locking him in the basement room for days…. then when Zhan deliver Fei and docter told him he has 24 hours to recover and when he beat him to death and Zhan had gone to coma…
Even then but even then Yibo gets the feeling of fight in him… but now Zhan looks so fragile and helpless.. like he lost all hope..
Yibo holds his hands.
“why Zhan why now…. you never broke when you were worse conditions than what happen… why after a year you give up… I was planning to bring Fei to meet you and tell you how mom betray me… even I know you were involved in Yifei death but still I was thinking after six years you will come back and start over… I know we can’t live together after so much resentment and hate… but I willing to forgive you for Fei sake but why you did this, what happens to you.”
Yibo’s head was down and he was so broken at the moment and he had no idea why…
When his five minutes are over he aimlessly walked out the room… and pray to God to save Zhan not for him but for Fei sake.

Carmen
“Why the hell he is alive… fuck… you know if he lives our secret will be out.” Carmen shouted on phone.
The jailer said in a light tone. “I understand Mrs. Wang but don’t worry.. i just got the news from the doctor they are not positive that Zhan will survive more than few days.. he is surviving on a loose thread….. just relax… our secret will not be out…. everyone believed that Zhan found the blade from the medic room he was in…”
Carmen was moving here and there. “look whatever you said its better be true…”
she ends the call and looked nervous…what if he survive, no he cant…

Yibo
He was sleeping in an uncomfortable hospital seat… then he heard the loud shouting voice.
“What the fuck you guys did with my brother….. that’s how you take care of the inmates by leaving the dangerous thing in front of them knowing very well the state of mind of my brother.” Cheng shouted.
The officer tried to calm Cheng even the nurses also but he was no mood to calm down.
Then he saw Yibo standing there… he lost it. “you son of a bitch.. how dare you.”
Cheng throw a punch on the Yibo face.
Yibo was stun what happens what then Yibo also answer him back with a punch.
The officers hold both of them. “Sir we are warning you if you guys make any problems in the hospitals we are going to arrest you both.”
Luckily Haikuan came on time. “Sorry officers my apologies for these guys.”
Haikuan drag them and took him outside the hospital.
Cheng was still yelling but Haikuan close the door and said to Yibo.
“That’s the fuck I was saying to stay away from this Zhan shit…. but you wanted to become a hero.” Haikuan said in disgust.
Yibo push Haikuan. “What the fuck are you doing here I never called you to join me.”
Haikuan shakes his head. “Maybe you forget but you are still my brother. I will be there when you need me even you fucking say or not.”
Yibo shook his head… try to calm his heartbeat.. but then the door open and saw Cheng was standing tall will a murderous look.
“Are you happy now what you did to him….. you fucker.. you sadistic bastard was not enough for you that he was for years a punching bag for you and your family, then you put him behind the bar for a crime he never did.. you also never let him see his daughter and now because of you, he is in this state.”
Yibo maintains the eye contact with him but his inner self-was breaking into tiny pieces he has no idea till when he will control his emotions.
Haikuan come in front. “look we have nothing to do with your brother suicide… it was his own choice… maybe it was his guilt that let him did that… don’t put on this.”
Cheng gives them a disgusted look.
“fuck you… guilt… what fucking guilt, he is innocent… he always was… and in a matter of few days I will prove this, then we will talk about guilt and his suicide it own you guys…. you know before his suicide.. he was begging to see Fei… he also talk to me to bring Fei to him… you guys break him so much… you used an innocent child… I promise… you will pay for this!”
He stormed out leaving both the brother stun and confused.
