“Why do i have a gut feeling that wuxian knows something realated to dafan mountain” wangji said doubtly.

“May be or he is just generally worried about WEN people’s” xichen deliberately emphasized Wen and countinued “but you have to keep in mind that consort Wei should not interfere in this”.

“i admire his intelligence and bravery but still he is a noble consort and he has to stay within his limits and we must settle this matter ourselves”.

They sat for a while and talked little bit more , after then Wangji returned for his work.

“After three days, Wangji saw Wuxian today. after meeting Qingyang, he did not go to Wuxian but his servant used to give him all the news about Wuxian”.

“ Wangji thought that after completely ignoring Wuxian, Wuxian might come to visit him himself, or at least show gratitude to him for breaking a rule for Wuxian but Wuxian ended up spending more time with Nie Huaisang. he didn’t stay much in the Harem either”.

“At night , Wangji invited Wuxian over for dinner, Wuxian refused to come. this was an insult to Wangji, afterall he is the Emperor and also his Husband, Wuxian can’t refused to him everytime” .

“So he decided to come and meet wuxian himself and try to clear some things up. but when he entered the room, he saw Wuxian sitting by the window with a flute and listened what he mumbled”.

“At night, Wuxian sat by the window with his flute. whenever he touches his flute, he remembers his family and thinking about his siblings and his happy times. he misses everything. for some reason these flutes bring him comfort” .

“ Why am i here? why should i be here? i just wanna run away . i miss my shijie and Jiang Chang . i miss my uncle and madam Yu too. why can’t i find my peace here” . he mumbled to himself.

“ i wish my A-xu were here. i miss him too.
how will he be? is he missing me too? did he learn about my marriage?” Wuxian self talked, sadness is visible on his face, no matter how much he is stronger but still he longing for his loved once .

“ Wuxian turns around only to see Wangji looking at him with rage in his eyes. Wuxian clearly remembered that he had locked the door, then why didn’t he hear Wangji’s arrival?” he immediately hide his flute behind his back.

“I see. reminiscing your time with you lover. huh? is this why you’re so disobedient? is it why you refused to have dinner with your husband because you are so busy to think about your Ex – lover ” Wangji state in rage he completely forgot that he came here for talking to Wuxian about there marriage.

Wuxian shivered for a moment but he composed himself and asked ;” Wasn’t Eavesdropping against the Lan Clan rule?”

“it is but an emperor is always superior than rules . ” Lan wangji said and then steps towards Wuxian . ” Wei wuxian! why is it so that you always try to disrespect me. i wanted to give our marriage a chance but you ……

he sneers and yells at him ” you dare to disrespect our marriage by thinking about someone else who gave you the right?

Disrespect our marriage…….. your majesty! which marriage are you talking about, “a man who own a entire haram for his satisfaction telling me about what is disrespect of marriage”; wuxian bitterly chuckled and countinued “atleast i am thinking about the person who loves me WHOLE HEARTLY not like you who didn’t have a heart”.

” WHOLEHEARTLY! i see. well, i’m still better then your beloved ex- lover who sold you to me . Wangji tells calmly.

Wuxian frowns. “SOLD! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT ”.

Lan Wangji just closed his hands behind his back and steps away from Wuxian. “your lover, what do you call him, ahh! Huang Xu. yeah! he sold you to me when i offer him a better omega than you.”

this shocks Wei Wuxian and he huffs “you’re bluffing. A-Xu can never do that.”

“oh! so much trust but Wei Wuxian , your lover is probably sleeping with his new omega.” he mocks.

this makes Wei Wuxian angry so he raised his voice ” i know you’re trying to make me angry but you don’t have to talked bullshit. you have done something to him. to make him disappear. you-”

lan wangji cuts him off,saying ” So much love! Ohh… i’m really gonna jealous wifey how can my wife love anyone else more then me”; he said dramatically. “Go change your robes in normal and get ready let me take you to your beloved lover ……… i mean ex- lover”. Wangji state confidentialy.

wuxian heartbeats starts to increase because he can’t find any lie in Wangji’s eyes. But he put his calmness on his face . he don’t want to reach any conclusion yet.

outwardly Wangji kept himself calm but jealousy had taken over him. He thought Wuxian would forget about Wen Xu after marriage but this brat still think about someone else Who is not his husband.

The Emperor grabs his wrist and drags him out of the palace angrily.
Wuxian tries to snatch his hand and loosen his hold but Wangji is holding him tightly. “wait. you’re hurting me.” he says while lan wangji keep dragging him out.

outside the palace a carriage was ready, he shoves Wei Wuxian in the carriage and then he himself enters.

“Wuxian feels anxious, his stomach is clenching and he is scared. the confidence he sees in lan wangji’s eyes seems true. he doesn’t know what he’ll do if his fear comes true.”

“is A-xu really having someone else in his life? what if Lan Wangji is right? but he loved him. he has seen how Huang Xu cared about him. he has been his friend for long time and then his lover. can he actually sold him to none other but this heartless monster Lan Wangji?”

Lan Wangji just kept on reading his book while catching few glances of Wei Wuxian. at a moment, his eyes caught his and all he could see is anger and pain. Wuxian averts his eyes and look outside the window.

after a while, Wangji says ” i’m sleepy. pour some tea for me.” Wuxian gives him a hard look and reluctantly he picks up the pot but as he is about to pour the tea,due to a bump on road, the carriage stumbles and tea spills on his hand which makes him hiss”.

“Wangji looks at his hand and pour the cold water from jar on his handkerchief, he presses it on Wei Wuxian’s hand gently. with another bump, before more tea can spill. he places his hand on wei wuxian’s where he is holding the tea”.

” can’t you move slowly.” he scolds the coach who apologizes and he takes the pot from Wuxian’s hand. Wuxian pressed the handkerchief on his hand that sooths the burn and Wangji pours the tea and offers it to Wei Wuxian who denies.

“take it. it will help you fight your fear.” Wangji says in a mocking tone.

“i’m not scared.” Wuxian replied.

Wangji quirks an eyebrow and says “Anxious then. take it.”

Wuxian looks at the tea and then at wangji with suspicion ” what if you’ve mixed some poison in it to kill me?”

Wangji huffs at that ” Consort Wei, if i wished to kill you, i would have done it in front of everyone. i didn’t need these shrewed plots to do that.” he again offers and Wuxian takes it.

Wangji pours another for himself and drinks. he looks at wuxian keenly and irritated by this , he asked “what?”

“i’m just looking how sweaty your face is! how are you going to take in the scene when you’ll reach there?” he mocks.

Wuxian presses his lips in annoyance and rebukes ” i am not sweating. i do not like tea.”

“then what is it that you like?” wangji asks.

Wei Wuxian grins and asked wangji “why do you suddenly want to know what i like?”

Wangji turned his head another side and didn’t say anything.

wuxian grins again and leaned back. ” Wine. i have listened a lot about emperor’s smile. but i don’t know if it could match yunmeng’s lotus wine. i used to drink it a lot with my shidi’s.”

in a while, they reach a town and soon the carriage stop in front of a big house. Wei Wuxian’s heart beat fasten. was Lan Wangji really telling the truth? what is he going to do?

Wangji looks at Wuxian and knows how anxious he is. the carriage door is opened by a soldier and lan wangji step outside.

As Wuxian stands up, he offers his hand for support but Wuxian neglects it and steps outside on his own. Wangji retracts his hand in annoyance and then moves ahead, why should he be angry after all Wuxian is going to get a shock of his life.

Wei Wuxian moves slow, his heart beats loudly. he doesn’t know what is he going to see, he prays that whatever Lan Wangji is saying is false. “He doesn’t want to face it but at the same time he wants to face it too. if huang xu has really betrayed, he doesn’t know what he is going to do”.

as they stand in front of a door, he is about to knock it but Lan Wangji holds his wrist. and looks at him frowning ” Do you think if you knock and enter, he’ll let you see the truth?”

Wei Wuxian snatches his hand back and Wangji signals a gaurd to barge inside. with just two kicks, gaurd successfully break the door open. Wuxian gets shocked to see the luxuries inside, his Huang xu used to be poor. how come he has so much now?

“I think we are in wrong house….. let’s go, it’s not his house” Wuxian tells to Wangji “he can’t believe that A-xu is owner of this house it’s luxurious”.

and then wen xu comes out yelling ” who the hell dared to-” but he gets silent when he see who it is. his gaze just land on Lan Wangji but not on Wei Wuxian who is standing at a side.

but then someone comes behind Wen xu and says ” husband, who is it?” wei wuxian looks at the man speaking with wide eyes. he can’t believe what he is listening.

the man looks like an omega, with blue eyes and perfectly fragile body. his skin soft and Wei wuxian feels his stomach fall. His messy hair and slightly messed up clothes tells everything that what are they doing inside.

there is a pang inside his chest and his throat feels like something is struck there. he swallows and steps forward, standing just in front of Huang Xu u who looks at him dumstruk.

Lan Wangji steps back looking at Wei wuxian’s face. wei wuxian doesn’t say a word but his eyes are emitting fire.

“Huang Xu or should i call you Wen Xu . i didn’t know you’ve been such a good merchant that you are good at solding a free person too. bravo!” wei wuxian mocks him while swallowing the lump in his throat.

“suppressing the pain in his heart. he need to maintain his pride, nobody has seen him pitiful. so, he’ll not let anybody see his vulnerable self. he looks at Wen Xu angrily and Wen Xu looks at Lan Wangji feeling betrayed”.

Lan Wangji just stands there smugly. he doesn’t care what Wen Xu thinks of him.

Wen Xu opens his mouth to speak ” i- i was forced. A-xian.” he takes a step towards him but he receives a hard slap on his face. his face turned to other side and he doesn’t dare to look at Wuxian.

“do not dare to call me that. have you forgotten who i am now? i’ll not ask why you did that, i can see why!” wei wuxian says and glanced towards the omega standing behind Wen Xu.

Wen Xu looks down guiltily and in a low voice says ” you have right to beat me and hate me. no apology is going to be enough but still i’m sorry. but trust me what i did, i did for you. i love-“

“Enough!! ” shouts wei wuxian and Wen Xu stops looking guilty. “don’t say that. love. huh! you’ve successfully made me believe that it exists only in fairy tales. you know i’m glad i didn’t marry a coward like you, who knows where you would have sold me then.” wei wuxian continues and walk back turning his back towards wen xu.

“no. wuxian. it is-” wen xu hurriedly steps towards wei wuxian but before he could touch him, strong fingers wrap around his hand and yank him away. lan wangji glares at him.

wei wuxian step back and pull out his sword , before lan wangji could even react wei wuxian move the sword and cut the bracelet Wen Xu is wearing, the pearls fall and scatter on the ground while Wen Xu Fall in his knees with teary eyes.

Wen Xu held Wuxian legs and crying bitterly “Why did u do it? I was forced to leave you. Please believe if i do not leave you then he will kill me.

“Kill you ! Are you trying to justify yourself like thisp.i gave you a fair chance but you choose to Leave him still you have a dared to say this that you are forced”. Wangji said smugly.

“Please….. Please give me a chance i will explain briefly . I was really forced to do it…. But before he said further Wuxian kicked him”

“you’re not worthy of it anymore. ” wuxian state sternly. and he looked at omega and said to him; “get away from him before he gets a good deal on you too”.

Wen Xu looked at Wuxian with hurtful expression and trying to say something but nothing come out his mouth he just think in his mind ” Whatever i have done is for you. i promise you A-xian i’ll win you back , i’ll set you free from this Lan Wangji. ” he grits his teeth in determination. and he began to collect the scattered pearls.

wuxian retreats and wangji also follows wuxian outside. “Go and Arrange a medicine to sooth the burn mark.” guard bows and leaves.

lan wangji notices as Wei wuxian keep looking at the moon, his back towards him. soon guard comes back with the medicine and wangji goes upto wuxian. but as soon as he get by his side , he see a single trail of tear that Wuxian wipes away immediately.

Lan Wangji feels Wei Wuxian’s sadness. ” he hurt you, why haven’t you kill him?” He asks from him.

Wei Wuxian doesn’t turn to face him, still looking at the moon he replies in a soft voice ” because that’s his punishment, living with shame of betraying the person who loved him for who he was.” he sighs and doesn’t say anything afterwards.

Wangji steps back looking at Wuxian’s face. Wei Wuxian doesn’t say a word and he closes his eyes .suddenly his hand is held and he turns gasping but sees Lan Wangji is about to applying the medicine where his skin burnt in the carriage. but before that he pulled his hand.

Wangji looked at him “what? let me apply the medicine it will sooth your pain”.

suddenly Wuxian laugh out loud ; ” there’s something that’s hurting more and it’s need to be hurt….. so let it be “.

lan wangji doesn’t understand anything but he don’t want to force wuxian right now for anything so they leave.
