DC- chapter 13

Zhan opened his eyes slowly fighting the urge to glance at his phone, he turned to the wall sobbing, no matter how hard he tried, Bo wasn’t so easy to let go.

He kept praying Bo unblock him and maybe everything can go back to normal.

Then he heard his mother’s choking cough, his eyes widened and quickly he jumped from the bed and rushed to his mom’s room.

“Mom!”

“I am fine, my medicine finished yesterday that’s why it seem like this, I am absolutely fine”.

She said trying not to cough in-between each word.

“You should have told me mom, the doctor warned about taking risks, I will go get it now”.

Then the doorbell ranged.

Zhan sighed.

“I will get the door”

He said softly and strolled out of the room heading towards the front door.

He turned the lock and pulled the door open to see the faces of his two friends, Jiyang in front and Haoxuan at the back.

“Hey baby!”

Zhan’s eyes narrowed in annoyance, he was certain his friend came to torture him, and also very sure he dragged Haoxuan into this.

He needed some space but Jiyang don’t know what personal space is!

Jiyang hugged him and covered his face with kisses painting.

Zhan’s cheeks with his red lip gloss, he bought him a banquet of flower and quickly stuff it into Zhan’s hand then he went into the room.

Haoxuan was standing alone now, Zhan gave him a cold stare.

“Don’t kill me, he dragged into this, believe me I told him you need some time to yourself but well he is Jiyang”.

Zhan sighed.

“Please come in Haoxuan”.

“Well thank you”.

Zhan closed the door after, he put the flower on the table and walked over to where his two friends were seated.

“Jiyang” Zhan’s voice came.

“Before you kill me, know that I love you baby and I want you to be happy and forget about that stuffed animal named Bo”.

“I am happy okay, you don’t have to treat me like a baby” he replied his hands akimbo like an angry housewife.

“I know I know honey but also I know you too well to know you don’t let go easily, you may be happy for your promotion but deep down you still want that idiot back”.

Jiyang replied and walked towards the refrigerator in search of only he knows what.

“I have my job back Jiyang, now can we stop talking about Bo”.

“Also I heard that devil man is giving you a hard time at work, well the jerk was smart enough to know who the brain of the company and decided to call you back” Jiyang added in-between mouthfuls.

“Thanks guys, especially you Haoxuan” he smiled warmly and hug them one after the other.

“Zhan! Honey!”

His mother called from inside the room.

“Guys I will be back”.

They nodded still smiling at him, then their glance shifted with him as he walked out of the living room beaming with smiles.

Jiyang drew a deep breath and turned to Haoxuan.

“I wanted to advise him to quit anyway but seeing how happy the promotion made him, I guess he can continue working for that devil”.

“Speaking of devil, he look like he will be a tough one” Haoxuan replied.

“Who the hell is that, why are y’all scared of him?” Jiyang snarled with a grimace.

Haoxuan brought his phone and showed him a picture of Yibo.

Jiyang spit out his drink in shock. “Wang Yibo? No fucking way! Tell me you are lying”.

“Well he is our new CEO, I didn’t know at first until a coworker called to my attention, Wang Yibo bought our company, Wow! I tried to get an autograph but scared of losing my job. Man looked so cold in person, I am sure the media do enhanced his smiling pictures”.

“Tell me, is he this handsome in person? I had a crush on him, how do I apply for a job, Yibo my love, He may be wicked but he is a handsome devil.”

Haoxuan shook his head.

Yibo couldn’t help the torture and irritation of staying in a public Restaurant and having everyone point and steal glances at him.

Clicking his finger on the table in front of him, he regretted ever coming here in the first place.

Worst his picture was on the huge bill board outside, so definitely anyone that came across the bill board will have no choice but stare or take pictures.

“Sorry I am late”

A woman’s voice sounded from behind.

Yibo’s cold face didn’t change whatsoever.

The woman sat down at the opposite seat and smiled broadly at him.

She had a lot of Dark circles, bad hair was unkept, she looked like a homeless person but in all of this, her piecing eyes stood out, like a crystal.

“Thank you for finally agreeing to meet with me, how are you doing honey?”

“Get straight to the point, the hell you ask me to meet you, I don’t have time for sob stories”.

Yibo replied trying not to look at her face.

The woman forced a smile.

“Still haven’t forgiven me huh?”

Yibo stood up to leave after that statement.

“I am your mother Yibo!”

The woman stood to her feet and yelled.

He paused and clenched his fist in his pocket.

Then walked back to her and spoke to her face, his eyes red as he fought back tears.

“Mother?, what does that mean? Do you know what a mother is! Do you!”

He screamed as loudly as he never did in his life.

The woman panicked and sat down on her seat swimming in tears.

“That’s what I thought, you sick bitch.” he stated roughly.

People have started taking pictures of them.

“Mr Wang’s ex wife” someone murmured.

“No they didn’t get married, she was his mistress” Another added.

Noticing that they created a scene, he groaned inwardly and angrily threw a bundle of cash at her and left the place.

“So rude!”

“No wonder his father don’t show him off like the second son”.

As soon as he got to the car lot, his driver panicked and opened the door immediately seeing his fierce look.

He entered the car and cursed loudly, pulling his tie roughly, he took off his suit.

He brought at his phone to text Bunny then remembered he blocked him.

At times like this, he did text him and bunny will surely make him feel better.

He threw his head backwards, a hand on his face, breathing heavily, cursing every single minute.
