DC-chapter 11

They arrived back at the company, and got down from the helicopter.

Zhan headed straight to his section without looking back as though he was trying to get away from some danger while Yibo and his guards walked behind him.

Yibo couldn’t just take his eyes off him, Zhan affected him so much that it was heartbreaking, he never felt this with anyone, not even his own mother.

He found it even difficult in letting him go out of his sight after Zhan branches to his department.

No matter how he tried not to get him inside his head, each time he thought of Bunny he would always see Zhan’s face but the walls he had built his heart were made of iron and not of bricks.

It’s impossible to let go and love someone again but Zhan seems to be immune to those barriers.

As soon Zhan entered his section, murmurs and whisperings filled the once quiet room.

Jinli and her friend couldn’t help but guess the new interest of the CEO towards the least rated employee in their company.

How can he give him a promotion while Zhan is not even a rated worker?

Zhan ignored each and everyone of them and walked straight to Haoxuan after dropping his bags.

“Can we talk Haoxuan?” he whispered to him.

“Sure?”

They both headed to the restroom one after the other.

The other employees were itching to know what was in the bags but the cameras and company rules won’t let them explore another employee’s private belongings.

Yibo was watching from his window, as they left for the restroom.

He rolled his tongue in his mouth as his eyebrow twitched severally in anger.

“A friend huh? Friends with benefits”.

Then suddenly realization hits him when he finds his behavior similar to that of a stalker.

The hell am I doing? Monitoring a bitch’s movement and all? Under some kind of spell or what, what did he do to me?

He cursed and went back to his seat.

Zhan sobbed, blowing his nose with a tissue.

“I am quitting Haoxuan, I can’t just take his craziness, he is so abusive, arrogant and disrespectful, I doubt his upbringing”.

Zhan was busy pouring out his heart but Haoxuan was smiling broadly.

“Haoxuan, are you listening at all, what’s so funny?”

“It’s nice to hear that you found someone too difficult to cope with, you’ve always been that stubborn man who can deal with any personality”.

“Yeah yeah but it’s definitely not funny Haoxuan, he is the reason no one likes him, even known as Mr Qian’s bad son, he gave his father a bad name, poor man, it must be tough for him and his wife to cope with his arrogance”.

“Wait he is Qian Feng’s son, wow! I can’t believe he is the son of the billionaire icon, how come he didn’t take over his father’s company, I only hear of the second son”.

“Who cares, I am sure the second son isn’t so arrogant to their parents that’s why they found him worthy to take over the company, he is just so annoying, very irritating, he pisses me off.” Zhan snapped and pouted angrily.

Haoxuan smiled and shook his head.

“Calm down, easy, now why not do this, torture him with your kindness and make him see you see difficult instead, this job is very important to you. The Zhan I know will do everything morally possible to keep it”.

Zhan sighed and bit his lower lip.

“I guess you are right Haoxuan, I will do as you said, but don’t tell Jiyang about this, he did tease me to death about being a cry baby and trying to quit my job”.

“You have my word”.

Just then the bathroom door opened.

Zhan and Haoxuan froze instantly.

“Boss?”

They both snapped loudly.

Yibo was standing at the entrance looking like a fierce predator that found two hidden prey, not sure why he made the silly decision to go inside the employees restroom.

He felt a slight shame that he couldn’t hold their eye contact, especially that of Zhan’s.

“What are you doing in the restroom? Mr Zhan”.

Haoxuan suddenly asked, acting as though Zhan disappeared out of nowhere instead of Yibo.

Zhan get the hint when Haoxuan winked and acted along immediately.

“Oh dear… I am so sorry, I thought I dropped my key in the restroom”.

Zhan said and chuckled awkwardly.

Yibo thrusted his hands inside his pocket, and rolled his eyes, nodding at their awful act.

“I should better go to the next restroom”

Zhan said rubbing his nervous hands on his trouser and quickly headed out of the restroom, he got to the door bowed respectfully at Yibo and got out of the restroom.

Yibo followed him immediately.

“Sure I should go inside the toilet right now”.

Haoxuan said to himself and entered one of the rooms.

There he prayed silently for Zhan not to get into trouble.

“What are you both doing in the bathroom?”

Zhan stopped and bit his lower lips thinking of what to answer suddenly an idea popped in his mind.

He turned and faced him challengingly.

“What is the CEO doing in the employee’s restroom, wait are you stalking me?”

“Yes”.

“Oh…” Zhan replied.

He didn’t expect him to answer that so straight forward and certainly didn’t know Yibo was stalking.

“I don’t trust you… you wanted to quit yet you are sneaking around in my company?”

Yibo said the only thing the brain could offer at the moment.

“I am sure the security team and hundreds of CCTV can make a better boss, but…

Zhan paused suddenly, smiled broadly and tried to be nice.

“I have changed my mind completely about quitting.” he stated.

Yibo raised a brow in a questioning arch and smirked.

“So you decided that you can’t find any other place as good as this company”.

Zhan rolled his eyes, he so wanted to prove him wrong but he promised Haoxuan to let go, he groaned inwardly and shamefully he nodded.

Yibo looked like he would smile at that then smirked again, staring intently at him.

Bunny are the same even in person, so stubborn, funny and adorable.

I don’t know how this ends but I just can’t pretend not to know who you are anymore.

Zhan or Bunny, you are the same.
