Cheng

It was almost in the morning when he felt his phone ring.

He looks around and saw Yibo and his brother Haikuan sitting quietly… he fucking doesn’t want them closer to his brother…

But since it was the important call he received it “yes.”

The detective guy he hired replied “it’s me… I wanted to tell you my people has found something.. I haven’t seen yet but going there… I suggest to talk to the waitress fast… she was in the mood of hiding out… find her till you can… I’m sending you the address.” he ends the call.

Cheng looked at the phone in shock… What the hell… he can’t leave Zhan here alone especially with these bastards…

Then he got the idea, he called to Haoxuan and Jiyang landline.

Haoxuan picked up the phone he was clearly sleeping “hello.”

Cheng sighs “sorry dude to call you this early morning… but it’s important.”

Haoxuan’s voice changed to alert one. “What’s wrong Cheng.”

Cheng replied. “It’s Zhan, I need your help!”

Cheng reach its destination…

He looked at the area which was slum in nature.. he checked the address to be sure.

Then he found the trailer house and knock on the door.. after a minute the door has opened a lady in her 30s holding a toddler.

Cheng introduced himself. “I’m Xiao Cheng Zhans brother and you must be Shen Li.”

The waitress’s eyes were stunned.

(After a few minutes)

Shen Li was rocking the baby in her lap and was sobbing.

“I didn’t want to do that but I became greedy and I also don’t have any options but after I give a false statement to your brother… my life turn upside down… I lost my home… my husband… everything. I just have my boy but he also becomes ill so much that he almost died… it was a wake-up call for me that God is punishing me for my sin… i was in so much guilt that I put an innocent behind the bar.”

Cheng keenly looking at her. “Then you have a chance… I’m angry what you did but I’m giving you chance to rectify your mistake and confess your crime I promise your child will take care like my own child… I will fulfill his and your necessary needs, his schooling his other stuff my responsibility even I will give my protection to you guys so don’t worry tell me the truth.”

Shen Li look down.

“I’m scared but if my child(she looked her son) get all this I will do it then….(she sobbed) I was offered some money that if I give statement that Xiao Zhan gives me some drug pills to put inside Yifei milk or juice I don’t remember… then I will be punished for some months and my husband will get a good job and a good house…. I get everything as I was told but I was also given a warning that if I ever open my mouth he will kill my family.”

Cheng was stun. “Who was it… tell me, Shen Li… I promise nothing will happen I will protect you guys.”

Shen Li looked scared. “It was… it was He Peng.”

Cheng lost all the color from his face “what”

She nodes. “he was the one actually who got me the drug pills… Xiao Zhan really do tell me to give him some painkiller, but when I get inside the kitchen He Peng was already there…I knew him because he used to visit a lot… he took out some money and told me that it’s all mine if I give this drug to Zhan, not the one he is asking… I was little taken back and doubtful but I was a greedy bitch and I took it and did what he told me… but I swear to god I don’t know what happens next. I don’t even know that drugs was for Zhan or Yifei.”

Cheng grabbed his hair. “Fuck… Hepeng… that fucker… oh god.”

Yibo

“What the hell are you doing here.” Yibo asked Haoxuan who was standing outside Zhan’s room.

Yibo was shocked when he first saw him.

Haoxuan gives him a disgusted look.

“I should ask this question from you… what’s your role here… you hate him, abuse him and put him in the jail and now your acting like a doting husband, what a joke.” Haoxuan sarcastically laughed.

Yibo give an angry look “I’m his husband and who the hell are you even to him…. the authorities call me that’s why I’m here.”

Haoxuan shakes his head. “So nice of you…(he mock him) well I’m his friend and since Cheng is not here he called me as he still not trust you around him (he looks at Zhan room) and who can blame him.”

He gives an accusing look to Yibo.

Yibo tries to control his anger… how fucking dare he to talk to him like that. He is Zhan husband not him… but Yibo also know Haoxuan and Zhan had a thing for each other before but why the fuck he is feeling jealous….

Yibo said in a controlled voice. “As you can see I’m doing nothing to him and you don’t have anything to do like go to your finance what was his name, yeah Jiyang.”

Haoxuan looked bore “I’m here because I want to and mind your fucking business.”

Yibo replied again “As you are in my fucking business I have right to know what are you and Zhan.”

Haoxuan did not complete his sentence and laughed.

“dude I think you still need to check your head… what right you are talking about… the right to hit him, blame him for a crime he never did or accusing him he was having an affair with me… even if he did why it matters to you… can’t you look at him (he points at the door) you destroy and broke a beautiful soft spoken person…. who never harm a fly but look what you did to him… I sometimes wish that I might have made him mine when the time was right but look like everyone let him down at some point.”

Yibo controls his anger…he didn’t tell him even if Haoxuan had made Zhan his own he can still find a way to separate them…..Zhan always belonged to him one way or another…. but then his inner thought said what you did destroy Zhan and let him killed his inner confidence.

The doctor came and said in excitement. “Zhan just open his eyes..”

Yibo and Haoxuan’s eyes were thrilled.

“What…. I want to meet him.”

Yibo try to get inside but Haoxuan stop him. “Where the fuck you are thinking you are going you cant meet him… i will never allow you.”

Yibo lost it and pushed him so hard that he almost trip. “He is my wife.. stop me if you can.”

Haoxuan yelled at him “over my dead body.”

But doctor came between them. “Look if you guys keep behaving like that then I’m telling you I will not allow anyone of you… now only one of you can go and only his family member.”

Yibo give a look to Haoxuan. “I’m family, he is my wife.”

Haoxuan resist but a doctor said. “then Mr Wang you can go.”

Yibo walked inside the room and saw Zhan was still in tubes and he looks the same as yesterday..

He stops in the midway… what I will say to him… he give himself a mental talk.. Yibo you can do this…. you only pity him.. he is gone through tough time and he deserves this as he was the reason I lost my sister but still for Fei sake just do it.. then he will go back to his prison life and I will go back to my…

But still, Yibo feel weird and so much uncomfortable.

He walks slowly and sits down in one of the chair… he saw Zhan’s eyes were closed but he was moaning in pain.

He then finally said the word. “Zhan.”

Zhan groans and open his eyes with great difficulty.

Yibo saw him open his eyes.. staring at his soul… Zhan looked confused but then his eyes were bulging out he starts breathing fast.. his chest was moving up and down.. his body starts shaking and his tears were falling continuously.

Zhan said in pain “you… you.”

Yibo stand in concerned. “Zhan what’s wrong… something is happening let me call the doctor.”

He put his hand on Zhan’s face but Zhan removed his hands and slapped him tight on his face…

Yibo was stun and he looked so speechless.

Zhan said in such hate. “You fucking bastard you killed my child… you killed my child.. my Fei… my Fei.” he starts yelling.

Doctor-run inside and saw Zhan body in distress. Zhan can’t breathe the doctor yelled at Yibo to get out..

But Yibo was stuck in his position.. what Zhan meant about Fei.

He still looking at Zhan intensely, Zhan eyes were open to and he was looking at him with such hate that made Yibo move backward…

When he was out of the room… he saw Haoxuan grabbing his shoulder. “What the fuck you did with him.. he was crying so badly.. surly you did something.”

Yibo push him, he was not in the mood to justify himself…

“Will you just leave me the fuck alone.” Yibo said in a controlled voice.

Haoxuan’s eyes were red with anger but he didn’t say anything.. he just walks away.

Doctors came outside after a few minutes.

“Mr Wang… your wife was out of control so we have given him some relaxant so he will be asleep for few hours.. but till that time we won’t allow anyone to meet him including you.”

Doctor gives him a strange look.

Yibo nodes but he was still a concern. “but why he react like this….”

The doctor said in a professional tone. “He was in shocked that’s all I can say… just wait for him to get conscious then we can ask him.”

Yibo looked at the back of the door and saw his wife’s lifeless figure.. he was getting emotional for no reason… he tries to calm himself…

But then he remembers he can’t see Haikuan.. maybe he is gone home… Home! fuck, Fei, he hasn’t checked her.

He calls at the home address.. after few minutes phone was picked. “Wang residents.”

Yibo replied “It’s me Yibo… I wanted to speak to Fei.”

Xueli replied. “Of course Mr Wang she was constantly asking about you she was sad too.”

Yibo close his eyes… what Fei must be thinking that he left her all alone again…

“Xueli until I came back home you will stay with Fei all the time.” he orders her.

Xueli replied suddenly. “yes sir yes”

Yibo waited for Fei.. then he heard sweet angelic baby voice of his daughter.

“daddy” Fei replied in a way that she was crying.

Fuck what happened to her. “Hi baby.. why are you crying…. did someone said something to you!”

Fei snips “no me missing you… you not here in the morning…. you know we have breakfast together.”

Yibo sighs “I know baby and I’m sorry… I will be back soon,, actually, my friend is sick so he needs me…. so daddy has to be with him.”

Fei replied “oh… ok, but I need you… I bore.”

Yibo smiled. “I miss you too but you know what till that time you can go to dada and spend some time with him but remember all the time you have to be with Xueli don’t go alone ok… now daddy has to go. I love you!”

Yibo can hear Fei sweet and light voice again. “ok daddy and love you.”

Yibo then asked Xueli where Carmen is, she told him she has gone for her shrink session..

He was relieved that his mom is not home… so Fei is safe now..

Yibo saw the time and was about to check Haikuan… he saw Haikuan coming in anger and was super pissed.

Haikuan stand in front him.

“Won’t you ask where I was?” he said in an annoyed expression.

Yibo replied “Ok where you were?”

Haikuan sarcastically smiled “In the fucking lawyer office… when you were grieving for your mad wife. I was gone to check the mess and problems that have been in our way again.”

Yibo raised an eyebrow “Haikuan save yourself some time and tell me the fuck you want me to tell.”

Haikuan huff in frustration. “Your brother in law Cheng reopen the Yifei case according to him he has some evidence and witness that can prove Zhan is innocent.”

Yibo was taken by the news. “What the…. what are you even saying.”

Haikuan pinched his nose. “Exactly my thoughts, I just got this amazing news in the morning…. I’m telling you it’s all planned… now I even doubt Zhan suicide scene is just an act.”

Yibo felt an instant anger. “Haikuan just drop it…. looking at Zhan I can also say it was real… and now will you be more specific what happens.”

Haikuan shakes his head. “that’s all I know.. since the evidence and statement are under law hand., we will see in the court… now where is Cheng so that he can tell his fake story.”

Yibo looks doubtful too… What’s really happening here…. It was clear Zhan was involved but who Cheng has put the blamed on.
