Sinful Desire- Chapter- 1

The cupid, the God of love, blindfolded his eyes so that he can shoot the love arrow fair and random. He maybe wanted people to love without looking into gender, status, caste, religion, nation and relations. Love should be blind, Love should not be seen by eyes. But he didn’t know he would ended up causing disaster.

Wang Yibo was 16 years old when he returned from S.korea to his home country China. He imagined everything how and when he will gonna return except  for the things that actually made him return. He was going to attend his second class when he received a message from his father’s assistant.

Gu Yan : Come back home. Your mom dad is no more.

At first, he felt like it was a prank but after spending 2 hours and 10 minutes in a plane. He accepted the fact he is all alone now. He didn’t even know how to react or how to cry infront of so many people. He was just kept looking at his parents picture with a straight face in a funeral. He didn’t wanted anyone’s sympathy so he just bowed to everyone who came to console him.

After doing his duties as a son, he went inside the bathroom and locked it before screaming his lungs out. He broke down because there was no one to see him like this. He cried…and he cried until there wasn’t a single tear left in his eyes. He sat down in a bathroom for 8 hours with a straight face and realised that he is the only relative of himself and have to take his responsibility in his own hands.

He wanted to blame them for leaving him alone. He was wondering, did they even think about him before going inside the fire. They died while saving children and staff of the orphanage that they built for kids who don’t have anyone. So, he couldn’t even blame them.

Few days later, Gu Yan came to his mension to do some paperwork as he has the responsibility of the company that Yibo’s father was running.

Yibo : So, I need to take responsibility of the company after my legal age?

Gu Yan : Yes Young master. But until then you need to find someone as an acting chairman for company.

Yibo thought for a while and looked at Yan and said that with his straight face.

Yibo : You can handle this company. By the way, did they found the cause of fire?

Yan : Yeah, someone thrown cigarette at warehouse. Your mom dad died saving life. Fortunately, kids aren’t injured and all of them rescued before anything could happen to them. All of them got adopted by people after listening this tragedy.

Yibo sighed in relief thinking atleast their parents can rest in peace now. The orphanage that they built for pitiful kids has done their job. He knows how much the orphanage and kids meant for his parents. They didn’t even cared about him before jumping into the fire.

Yibo : I want to go there. Orphanage…. I want to see it before shutting it down.

Xiao Li : I don’t know where he has gone. I couldn’t find him anywhere.

After entering the orphanage which was not as same as before he saw last time, he heard someone talking. The whole orphanage was burnt and he could see black fire flames on wall. The floor was still wet because the whole building was washed with water to stop the fire.

Yibo : Did someone get lost?

Xiao Li looked at the kid who looking little bit familiar but then she widened her eyes and her eyes immediately started getting teary.

Xiao Li : Young Master…

She wanted to say something more but because of huge guilt she couldn’t say anything more. She was guilty to stay alive when his parents are gone.

Xiao Li : There is a kid. Xiao Zhan. He is 9 years old. He has been missing since yesterday.

Yibo looked at his Gu Yan with his straight face and asked.

Yibo : You said everyone got adopted.

Xiao Li answered him before assistant could reply.

Xiao Li : Yeah… Everyone got adopted but those who wanted to adopt Zhan refused to continue the adoptation process and formalities. He is the only child left here.

Another worker rolled her eyes after listening and said in disgust.

Sheng Zhai : Its good he has left on his own. Everything happened because of him.

Yibo frowned in confusion and he didn’t like her tone when she was talking about a kid. Xiao Li who was the head and incharge of the orphanage glared at Zhai before warning her.

Xiao Li : Sheng Zhai… Don’t speak nonsense.

Yibo : What do you mean? Did he cause the fire?

Xiao Li : No,.. how could a kid get cigarette and Zhan is a very good kid. He was with Mrs. Wang for the whole time. We still didn’t know who thrown cigrette in warehouse. It was the 13th anniversary of this orphanage, so many people came to join the celebration. So, its unclear who did this.

Sheng Zhai : But he is the reason we have suffered from this. He is a bad omen.

Yibo looked at that girl who was few years older than him. He tried to control his anger because its not good to disrespect your elders and that’s not what his parents would want him to do.

Yibo : Why are you saying such things for a kid?

Sheng Zhai : You don’t know anything.  When he was born, her mother died after giving him birth. His father took his own life after 8 months. An orphanage in Tanjin took him and raised him for 5 years but earthquake hits and that orphanage got shutdown. Then Mrs. Wang took him here to raise him here and see what happened to her. I warned those parents who wanted to adopt him because who knows what will happen to them.

Yibo scoffed in disbelief thinking it’s useless to argue with this stupid lady. He turned towards the old lady in her 40s and said politely.

Yibo : Let’s find him together.

Xiao Li nodded with almost teary eyes and Yibo immediately started wandering around the orphanage to find the kid. He went upstairs to check if he was there or not and fortunately he heard someone sniffing. He tilted his head and saw a little kid was hiding behind the water tank.

His heart softened seeing him crying in a corner all alone. He remembered he cried like this too in a bathroom. That kid’s clothes was little burnt and his face was dirty like he hasn’t washed himself for days. Yibo went towards him and sat down beside him making him surprised and shocked at the same time.

Zhan : Wh- who are you Gege?

Yibo looked at his doe innocent eyes and his voice was as soft as cotton. Yibo tried to smile a little because he didn’t want to scare him with his straight face.

Yibo : I’m same as you. What are you doing here.? Everyone is looking for you.

Zhan looked down and the tears that were hanging on his eyelids dropped like a pearls.

Zhan : I don’t want to go there. They will die.

Yibo clenched his jaw listening such cruel things from the mouth of 9 years old boy.

Yibo : Its not your fault. You are not the reason behind this accident. No one is  a bad omen in this world. Its all lies. A myth.

Zhan looked at him again with his surprised face and thought this good gege doesn’t know him that’s why he is saying such things.

Zhan : I’m a bad omen. I know it. You don’t have to lie to me.

Yibo fell silent for a second realising this kid has seen more tragedies in his life to make him believe such absurd things. Even though yibo was older than him but in terms of experience he has lesser than this kid.

Yibo : Its all human made legend, they just want to put the blame on someone else to give themselves a little relief. There is no such things like a bad omen.

Zhan eyes started sparkling with hope and happiness thinking he didn’t cause any harm to them. But after thinking something his face fell again and he said in his soft disappointed voice.

Zhan : But still I always lost my love ones.

Yibo : I lost my parents too. They died saving kids in orphanage.

Zhan widened his eyes and looked at the guy beside him again with lots of shock in his face.

Zhan : Are — Are you Wang Yibo gege?

Yibo tilted his face and raised his eyebrows in curiosity.

Yibo : How do you know my name?

Zhan who just controlled his emotions few seconds ago, broke down in tears again.

Yibo : Hey– why — stop crying.

Zhan : Mrs. Wang to-told m-me about you. She said she will introduce me to her good son one day…

Yibo felt someone just stabbed multiple knifes into his heart. He gulped down his emotions and caressed his hair lovingly.

Yibo : She will not feel good if she would see you crying like this for her.

Just after listening this, Zhan wiped his tears with the back of his hands and closed his mouth tightly, sealing his lips together and hiccuping again and again. Yibo chuckled with teary eyes and he could see how much her mother meant to this kid.

Yibo : Zhan,… Do you believe me?

Zhan looked his gege with teary doe eyes and nodded head slowly. I mean he is just a kid who has no one in this world. Its easy for him to believe anyone who talks to him nicely.

Yibo : Then let’s go downstairs. Believe me nothing will happen to anyone because of you. I will find someone who is ready to adopt you.

Yibo put his hand infront of Zhan and zhan looked at his big palm and then slowly placed his small palm on it before clamping his little fingers around Yibo’s palm tightly. Yibo felt the desperation and fear in his grip and felt really bad for this small kid.

Xiao Li : Where have you been Zhan !?? Thank God you are fine. ..

Zhan looked up at Yibo was taller than him almost double in size. He then apologized to her for making her worried. On the other hand, Yibo didn’t like what she said. Because if you look at Zhan, you could see he wasn’t in a good shape. He hasn’t changed his clothes and washed his face for days and the lady in charge just ignored it like it was nothing. He didn’t know if Zhan has eaten anything or not.

Yibo : Is there anyone who wants to adopt him?

Xiao li got little nervous before telling him the truth.

Xiao Li : Actually those parents spread rumours and giving interviews to newspaper telling that he is a …. Bad omen.

Yibo : What nonsense!!?? Yan ge, can our company handle this?.

Yan : Yeah I’ll try to inform our PR team today.

Sheng Zhai : Its no use… Who will gonna adopt him after knowing such things. Even orphanages refused to accept him.

Yibo’s blood pressure started increasing after listening this. He looked at Xiao Li with his blood shooted eyes and asked with his stern voice.

Yibo : Is that true?

Xiao Li : Y-yes…

These kids are the one for whom his parents died. He doesn’t want to make their sacrifice go waste. His heart was beating too fast and he was getting angry because people believe that nonsense. He looked at the Zhan who got disappointed again and was trying to snatch his small palm away from yibo’s grip with teary face.

Yibo : I will adopt him…

Zhan stopped struggling after listening this and everyone including him got shocked.

Yan : Young master… You are not legally mature so you can’t—

Yibo : Technically, this orphanage is my company’s property. And if no one is ready to take the responsibility of this kid then its company’s responsibility to take care of kids. He will gonna stay with me and company will take care of him just like company is going to take care of me. After my legal age, I will adopt him.

Sheng Zhai : Young master, you don’t know what ty—

Yibo : I don’t believe in this bullshit. He is just small kid. How could you make him so insecure that he is blaming himself for everything. Is it good to give such trauma to a small kid who don’t know anything.??!!! If you want to blame someone, go find the person who lit cigrette there. !!!

Everyone fell silent after listening so much frustration and anger in his voice.

Yibo : Yan ge, go get the papers ready. I want to take his responsibility for a time being until I reached my legal age of adoption.

Yan : Okay I’ll get it ready for you soon.

Yibo : I want it now!!…. I don’t want to leave Zhan here anymore.

Zhan looked up at his gege and thought he is so cool. He felt like he came here to save him. Zhan smiled a little and praying in his heart to not cause any trouble for Yibo ge.
