YRMD-98 Live Well For Your Loved Ones

“Okay?” Jiyang snorted in disapproval.

“What kind of attitude is this? You are upset?”

“I don’t want to mention him anymore.” Jiyang took a sip of lemonade and changed the subject. “Zhan, the person I told you about yesterday who looked like Bowen is Zichen.”

“Jiyang, you should look at the people around you more. You’ll discover something new.” Zhan reminded him not to live in the past. “Jiyang, I know you miss Bowen very much, but Mr. Zichen is not Bowen. They are not the same person.”

Zhan was afraid that Jiyang would become trapped in an illusion and would end up harming himself, so he shattered Jiyang’s illusion right away.

Jiyang lowered his eyelashes and frowned slightly. “I know. But how can two people in the world look so similar? They are just like twins.”

“No matter how similar they are, so what? He is not Mr. Bowen.”

Zhan was also shocked at that time, but then he persuaded himself not to overthink it and face reality.

“Jiyang, it’s been five years. You should let go. Bowen doesn’t want you to suffer and torture yourself because of him. He won’t be at ease where he is. He definitely hopes that you can forget him and bravely pursue the happiness that belongs to you. So, for the sake of Bowen and yourself, let go.”

Zhan reached out to hold Jiyang’s hand on the table, not wanting him to live like a walking dead.

“Is he really worried?” Jiyang’s eyes were slightly moist.

“Do you doubt Bowen’s love for you? If you truly love someone, then you would naturally hope that your loved one can live a better and happier life than yourself.”

With a smile, Zhan tucked a strand of hair in front of his forehead behind. “And look at how you spent the past five years. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that you lived in a fool’s paradise.

If Mr. Bowen were here, he would definitely be sad, so don’t make him cry over there. Jiyang, be brave. Only you can break out your mental shackles.”

Jiyang was lost. It was true that he closed off the once lively and bright part of himself. Now he was just a beautiful shell.

The past few years were in vain.

“I don’t want him to worry about me,” Jiyang whispered. “I want him to be happy too.”

“In this case, don’t make him worry about you anymore. I heard that if a person who passed away is still worried about someone, then they’ll haunt the world of the living and will be unwilling to be reincarnated. Once he loses this opportunity, then he’ll be a ghost forever and will not be able to be reincarnated.” Zhan patted Jiyang’s hand as if he was telling a story.

“Of course, this is just a superstition. It’s not something we modern people should believe in, but I think we should live well for our loved ones. Mr. Bowen’s death anniversary is approaching. Let’s go see him together so you can tell him everything you want to say.”

“Okay.” Jiyang also secretly made a decision.

Zhan smiled with satisfaction.

At six o’clock sharp, their food was served.

Zhan and Jiyang drank some red wine. It was supposed to be a light drink, but Jiyang was greedy.

“Zhan, do you think this wine is fake? Why am I not drunk after drinking so much?” Jiyang picked up the nearly empty bottle of red wine and shook it.

“Jiyang, this is your restaurant. Didn’t you pick the wine yourself? How could it be fake?” Zhan was speechless.

“Oh right. I carefully picked all of them. How could it be fake?” Jiyang was stupefied. After smiling, he said, “I know, it must be because my alcohol tolerance improved. It must be so.”

Zhan was a little resigned. Based on his nonsense talk, Jiyang had to be drunk.

“A little bit more. Let’s finish it.” Jiyang picked up the bottle and poured it into the glass. The dark red liquid blossomed into a gorgeous flower formed by bubbles in the wine.

“Stop drinking.” When Zhan was about to grab the glass, Jiyang already finished it in one gulp.

Zhan watched him turn the glass he had drunk upside down while maintaining his smile.

“Look, not a drop is wasted.”

“Since when did you become frugal?” Zhan taunted him slightly.

“Anything can be wasted, but not wine.” Jiyang said seriously.

Zhan could only look down to cut and eat his steak. At this time, he heard the sound of a phone ringing. It was Jiyang’s phone.

He told Yibo that he would be having dinner with Jiyang, so he likely would not disturb him before nine o’clock.

Jiyang picked up the phone and saw that the call was from Haoxuan. He hung up right away and said to Zhan, “What’s he calling me for? It’s useless to call me. I won’t give birth to his child.”

“Jiyang…” As soon as Zhan spoke, the phone rang again.

This time it was still from Haoxuan, so Jiyang hung up again. “So annoying.”

But Haoxuan continued to call as if he would never give up.

Zhan prevented Jiyang from repeatedly hanging up. “Maybe you should answer the call, What if Mr. Haoxuan is calling you for something urgent?”

“There’s nothing urgent now except having a child.” Jiyang was slightly drunk, and his pale face was a little flushed.

“If you don’t want to pick up, then I’ll do it.” Zhan took the phone from him hand and picked up the call.

As soon as the call was connected, he heard Haoxuan’s anxious words. “Jiyang, what are you hanging up on me for? I didn’t see you when I went home. Where are you? It’s late so why aren’t you home for dinner?”

“Mr. Haoxuan, this is Zhan,” Zhan waited for him to finish before giving an introduction.

“Oh… it’s Mr. Xiao.” Haoxuan was a little embarrassed. “Is Jiyang with you?”

“Yes, we are having dinner together.” Zhan glanced at Jiyang, who was leaning on the back of the chair with his eyes closed. “He drank a lot of wine. Maybe you should come and take him back. We are in his head restaurant.”

“Okay, I’ll come right away.” Haoxuan said.

Zhan glanced at Jiyang, then stood up. “I’m going to the lobby to ask someone to make a glass of honey water. It’ll help sober you up.”

“I’ll go with you, I don’t want to stay here by myself.” Jiyang grabbed his hand.

“You are drunk, so you should sit down.”

“I’m going.”

There was nothing Zhan could do once Jiyang became stubborn, so Zhan had to go downstairs with him, only to meet someone familiar.

Jiyang was attracted by someone familiar at first sight. “Zhan, look, isn’t that Bowen? Why is he here?”

Zhan followed Jiyang’s gaze and saw Bowen. No, it should be Zichen, who sat in the window seat, with two people.

“Jiyang, you’ve mistaken. He’s not Bowen. He’s Mr. Zichen.” Zhan corrected him.

“Oh, it’s Mr. Zichen.” Jiyang smiled slightly. “He is so similar to Bowen, so I always think he is Bowen.”

“Have a seat first, I’ll pour honey water for you.” Zhan helped Jiyang sit down in the nearest seat.

After Zhan helped Jiyang settle down, he went to the reception and asked the waiter to bring honey before he personally prepared honey water for Jiyang. He concentrated on boiling water for Jiyang.

Jiyang got up when he was not there and went straight to the table where Zichen was at.

Jiyang stood still at the table where Zichen was at.

Jiyang’s body blocked some of the light and cast a shadow on the dining table, attracting everyone’s gaze.

Zichen looked up slightly but only glanced at Jiyang whose face was slightly flushed. His gaze was short, so short that it was as if his eyes never swept over him.

Others stared at Jiyang. After all, Jiyang was a beauty from head to toe.

“Hey beauty, do you know us?” A man asked boldly.

Jiyang smiled charmingly before picking up the glass of red wine on the table and raising it to Zichen. “Mr. Zichen, I hereby propose a toast to you.”

“Mrs. Wen, you are drunk. Don’t push yourself too hard.” Zichen ignored Jiyang’s toast.

When the other two heard how Zichen addressed Jiyang, the disappointment was obvious in their eyes. It turned out that he was already married. What a pity.

Jiyang frowned because of how Zichen addressed him. “My name is Song Jiyang. You can call me Jiyang.”

“Since Mr. Song is married to Mr. Wen, and because of coverture, I should address you as Mrs. Wen.” Jiyang disagreed with Zichen’s logic.

Jiyang looked at his sharp facial features and cold expression.

“Since Mr. Zichen doesn’t want to call me Mr. Song, you can call Boss Song.”

The other two’s eyes were filled with doubt. Why this title?

“What business does Mr. Song do?” Someone asked.

“I opened this restaurant. This is the head one.” Jiyang propped against the table with one hand and held the glass in the other, but his eyes were fixed on Zichen’s face.

“So, it’s perfectly appropriate to call me Boss Song. So, I thank Mr. Zichen for coming to this restaurant as the boss.”

Zichen gently and gracefully wiped the corners of his lips with a napkin while the expression on his face remained the same.

“Mr. Zichen, I’m tired from holding the glass. It seems that you are not willing to do me the honour and have a drink with me?” Jiyang did not show a trace of anger.

“Thank you for your kindness, but Boss Song is already drunk. I’m afraid Qing will misunderstand that I made you drunk.” Zichen looked for an excuse.

Jiyang sat down freely in the empty seat beside Zichen. “First, Qing isn’t that petty. Second, I have a high alcohol tolerance. Third, don’t we have two gentlemen here who can testify for you?”

“Fourth, I can explain to Qing that I voluntarily proposed a toast, and it had nothing to do with you. She would scold me at most. So, does Mr. Zichen have any further concerns?”

Jiyang seemed determined to not give up until Zichen drank the glass of wine today.

Zichen was still very calm despite Jiyang’s aggressive attitude. Even his eyes were cold when he gazed at him.

He was very unfathomable.

Zichen refused to raise his glass while Jiyang raised his glass with stubbornness, waiting for his response.

“Why would Mrs. Wen make it hard on me and yourself?” Although Zichen’s thin lips curled, there was no warmth in his smile.

The smile on Jiyang’s face became even more gorgeous. “It’s just a glass of wine. Since Mr. Zichen doesn’t want to do me the honour, then I’ll drink by myself.”

Jiyang put the wine glass to his lips and drank it in one gulp.

“Mr. Zichen, since you have a deep friendship with Qing, there’ll be many occasions for us to meet, so I’ll eventually have the opportunity to drink with Mr. Zichen.” Jiyang gently placed the empty glass on the table.

“Then Mrs. Wen can keep waiting for said opportunity.” Zichen’s long fingers gently rubbed the stem of the glass with a calm expression.

“Okay.” With a smile, Jiyang picked up the red wine and poured it into his glass again. He raised the glass and proposed a toast to a man on the opposite side. “Since Mr. Zichen is so polite, I’ll drink with these two gentlemen.”

The two men glanced at Zichen, watching his expression.

“What? Are you afraid of him?” Jiyang naturally saw his small movements. “Do you need Mr. Zichen’s permission to drink with me? Isn’t it normal for the owner of a restaurant to propose a toast?”

The two men did not dare to look at Jiyang’s eyes and lowered their eyes while feeling slightly guilty.

Jiyang looked at the two men and chuckled disdainfully, but he did not want to blame them. After all, they probably yielded to Zichen’s tyranny.

“Mr. Zichen, it’s just a glass of wine. You refuse to drink it, yet you don’t let others drink either? Aren’t you a little too controlling?” Jiyang shook the glass gently and swirled the wine, creating beautiful dark red flowers.

“Or have I, Jiyang, offended you? Do you have something against me?” Jiyang’s eyes were filled with grievance and innocence while he sounded coquettish.

At this time, Jiyang felt tipsy, and his face flushed, unaware that he appeared seductive.

“Okay, if you all don’t want to drink with me, then I’ll drink by myself.” Jiyang drank another glass in one gulp then poured one more and drank a third glass.

After three glasses of wine, he said, “These are the three glasses of wine I toast to you. Whether you drink or not is your business. Okay, I won’t bother you anymore. You guys have fun.”

After that, Jiyang slowly got up while pushing against the table.

Jiyang was even drunker now, and his mind was foggy.

At this moment, his legs felt weak as if he was stepping on cotton. He could not stand still that he fell towards Zichen.

Before Zichen could support him, Jiyang had fallen on him. Zichen frowned slightly at Jiyang.

In others’ eyes, Zichen seemed to be unhappy and feel disgusted.

Immediately, Zichen reached out and helped Jiyang up.

Zhan, who found Jiyang missing, came looking for him everywhere and found that Jiyang had fallen on Zichen. “I’m sorry, Mr. Zichen. Jiyang is drunk. He didn’t mean to get your clothes dirty.”

“Mr. Zichen, if you don’t mind telling me where you live, I’ll have a new set of suit made and delivered to you, and I won’t bother you.”

Zhan looked at the wine stains on Zichen’s suit and felt sorry for him.

“I don’t need you to pay for the dress, but Mr, Xiao, please take him away.” Zichen released Jiyang.

“All right, all right, I’ll take him right away” Zhan reached out to help Jiyang. “Jiyang, let’s go.”

But Jiyang idly lifted his eyelids and got rid of Zhan, saying, “Who are you? I’m not going with you.”

“Jiyang, I am Zhan.” Jiyang was already wasted. “Don’t you know me?”

“Should I know you?”

“Well, whatever. You have to go with me.” Zhan knew Jiyang was drunk and didn’t care about it and he was going to take Jiyang away.

But Jiyang put his arms around Zichen’s neck and said, “I’m not leaving.”

Zichen was shocked to be hugged by Jiyang. “Let go of me,” he said coldly.

“How… How dare you be so unpleasant to me?” Jiyang stared at Zichen with an aggrieved look and was about to cry.

Not only did Jiyang burst into tears and not let go of Zichen, but he hugged him tighter and wiped his own tears on his expensive suit as if it were his tissue.

The two men sitting beside looked Jiyang in shock, then they were panicked and said to Zichen, “Mr. Zichen, we…. We’ll go first.”

The two men fled in a hurry.

“Jiyang!” Zhan looked at Jiyang like a child and snapped, “Why are you crying?”

“He is unpleasant to me!” Jiyang felt it was Zichen’s fault.

“Mr. Song, don’t forget that you are married. It is not appropriate to hug another man in the public,” Zichen reminded him. “Please let go of me.”

Jiyang was so drunk that he didn’t even know who he was. How could he care about the identity or something else now? He said stubbornly, “I don’t care.”

But Zichen reached out and pulled his arm off his neck. And then he stood up, sorting out his clothes which had been creased by Jiyang, and then stepped away.

Jiyang put his arms around Zichen’s waist from behind. “Don’t go… Don’t leave me…”

“Mr. Song, please behave yourself!” Zichen wasn’t softhearted.

He got rid of Jiyang’s arms and marched away.

Jiyang wept as he looked at Zichen leaving.

Zhan looked at Jiyang, who was crying so hard that he could not catch his breath. Zhan just silently went forward to support Jiyang.

He said nothing but patted Jiyang on the back and stayed with him until Jiyang was tired from crying and went to sleep.

When Yibo arrived, he saw Zhan standing still and Jiyang leaning over his belly, with his beautiful face stained with tears.

“Baby, are you all right?” Yibo could tell by looking at them that Zhan must have held this position for a long time.

“I’m fine. Help me get Jiyang to the car.” When Zhan saw Yibo had arrived, he felt relieved.

It was really a happy thing to have someone to rely on.

Not everyone could have this kind of happiness.

Yibo was a little surprised. To let him carry Jiyang into the car?

“It’s not so good, is it?” Yibo hesitated. “Let Haoxuan do it.”

“I ask you to do so just because I can’t let him come.” Zhan didn’t dare to let Haoxuan see Jiyang like that.

He didn’t know what Haoxuan would think if he knew how Jiyang had cried his heart out and he was holding on to Zichen.

“I never hugged anyone other than you.” Yibo obviously didn’t want to do it, even though he was Zhan’s best friend.

“Don’t worry, I won’t be jealous. Besides, he’s my best friend,” Zhan promised.

“Just because he’s your best friend, I can’t do it.” Yibo stuck to his principle.

“Fine, I can only do it myself.” Zhan turned his back to Jiyang and half crouched down. “Help me put Jiyang on my back. I’ll carry him.”

“Don’t pretend to be strong.” Yibo looked at the lobby manager.

The lobby manager came forward and said, “What can I do for you, Mr. Wang?”

“Could you find someone to help Mr. Song out? If two people are not enough, please.”

“Yes.” The lobby manager nodded and looked at several waitresses, ordering them to come over.

Yibo handed Jiyang to a waiter and then he took Zhan over to make way for the waiter.

Jiyang was carefully taken out by the waitresses, and Yibo and Zhan followed behind.

In the car, Zhan wiped Jiyang’s face with a wet paper towel, and arranged his hair and clothes so that Jiyang did not look too embarrassed,

Yibo focused on driving and looked at Zhan in the rearview mirror from time to time. “What’s wrong with him today?”

“Do you remember Qing’s friend Zichen?” Zhan carefully sorted Jiyang’s hair on his forehead.

“Zichen, President of G. S. Group.” Yibo already knew who Zichen was.

“He looks so much like Mr. Bowen. It can be said that they are the same person.” Zhan looked sadly at Jiyang, who was asleep on his lap. “How can two people be so alike?”

“So, what’s happening to Jiyang today has something to do with Zichen?” Yibo raised his eyebrows.

“Mr. Zichen is having dinner at Jiyang’s restaurant.” Zhan explained what had happened.

“Now everyone in the restaurant, especially his staff, has seen this. What if Haoxuan finds it out? Although they are husband and wife in the name, it’s a terrible blow.”

“No one can help him, except that man.” Yibo pointed out the key point. “And it depends on what Jiyang chooses.”
