Xiao Zhan

“The court is adjourned.” Everyone stand.

The guard took Zhan and he saw Cheng, Jiyang, and Haoxuan disappointed faces and he knew he is responsible for this but he can do anything for his daughter.

After the intense statement from HePeng that was obviously against him and then that other evidence that point out Xiao Jun and Xiao Zhan was involved made the case against him.

Only Haoxuan was there whose statement was favoring him but that was also no use as jury has already made their mind.

Six years!

Six years were the punishment he has to bear in the prison for a crime he never did.

According to the law he is a culprit and a murder but du to his indirect involvement in Yifei murder case and him being underage at that time made him serve 6 years.

He can see the happy faces of Haikuan and Carmen who were hugging each other and were smiling when he saw his husband cruel eyes…

Yibo was not smiling nor he was sad… he just had an expression that Zhan don’t know… they stare each other… and Zhan shakes his head…

Zhan can see the war inside Yibo’s eyes that he never know exist.

When he was taken outside the courtroom Carmen caught him and sarcastically smiled. “Officer I need a moment.”

After the node from the officer.

Carmen arrogantly said. “Six years are long but I will make sure you live in the prison forever as I will make sure for no payroll, and another case will be filed to make your punishment from 6 years to 60 years.”

Yibo came into the vision. “Mom please stop it, it’s done now come leave this all behind!”

Zhan gives Yibo a disgusting look which Yibo return with a blank look.

When he was taken to the main prison… he looked scared as the jailer was already mocking him and was pushing him… other inmates were looking dangerous to him like they are waiting for a prey.

Zhan try to control his breathing and looks down the jailer was a larger white man who doesn’t call Zhan by his name but called him little mice.

When he was taken inside his room it was very small with an attached bathroom.

He was about to enter the room when the jailer stopped him and said rudly.

“little mice here you are on your own. I don’t think so you will survive here but a pro tip don’t mess with me maybe you have your last breath peacefully.” he smiled and Zhan flinched with terror.

When the door was locked Zhan took a long sobbing breath and cry. “Oh god.”

He tries to calm his heartbeat then he heard a voice he saw his roommate who looks old may be of Mr Wang age.

He had a cigarette on his lip and he looks bored of Zhan condition.

“You don’t belong here what you did child.” his roommate say.

Zhan slowly said down on his bed. “I…I was..

He throws the cigarette.

“Forget it. I’m Boashan the way you are talking you will take whole damn day but listen to me, child here are some inmates that your kind should stay away they look for weakness and they use it very dangerously and secondly listen to that jailer he is right don’t mess with him, he is a bitch… sometimes I think..(he shakes his head) hell no I totally believe in this he took money from outsider and then kill some of the inmates here very cleverly but I hope you survive because like he said you are on your own.”

Zhan’s eyes were bulging out if Boashan is saying the truth then maybe Carmen can also….

He shakes his head in terrer he is just over thinking, six years are long but he will survive for his Fei…

Wang Yibo

He was sitting in his home office and staring in the laptop screen absently, So it happens. What he wanted for all these years it happens… Zhan get from here… Yifei get the justices and his life is turned upside down….

Yibo pinched his nose but his heart feel so empty, like a part of him is dead.

He was in his own thoughts then he heard Fei loud crying voice…

Xueli the maid was trying to calm her and she enters the office nervously… Yibo also stand and looked.

Xueli said. “Sir. Fei is crying nonstop I did everything She is not eating nor she is having her food I don’t know what to do.”

Yibo winced when he heard Fei cries….Mama… mama…mama.

Yibo can’t control himself and walked towards her and put his hand on her cheeks.

“hey hey it’s alright.” he softly talked to her.

Fei looked at him with Zhan eyes and Yibo stop breathing, how can he be happy when a small child has been taken away from Zhan because of him.

Carmen joins the moment and glared.

“Xueli what the hell are you doing her and roaming this loud spoiled girl in every room… you know Aimer is sleeping and Ann needs you…”

Yibo felt an instant anger but he control it.

Carmen said again. “Take her to Mrs Shuli she is in her compound and you go to Ann room and help her with the baby.”

Yibo stop her. “But mom Mrs Shuli is sick and Fei is disturbed I don’t think so.”

Carmen looked her son.

“Yibo I’m here to talk to you on that matter (she looked at Xueli) what are you waiting now go when she is asleep put her back to her bed.”

When Fei was gone… Yibo put a hand on his hair and sighs, he sits down on the couch.

Carmen also joined him and gently touch his face.

“Yibo (she softly said) I can’t see you like this. I know, I can understand your life is changed and it pains me a lot to look at you like this but baby I love so much and what you did for us for Yifei will never be forgotten.”

Yibo looked at his mother with emotional eyes. “You understand mom?”

Carmen hugs him.

“Of course darling but you have to move on and first thing first, about Fei (Yibo raise his head) I think there are two options… first I think you let go Fei… you can give it to Xiao family… surely they will take her or you can give her to adoption.”

Yibo stands and yelled.

“Mom what the fu.. hell it is… how can you say this… I won’t do that not ONLY because she is my responsibility but also because but what will media think too.”

Carmen stand too. “ok ok relax then I’m calling a nanny who will stay all the time with her and in this way, you will be a little relaxed and can move on with your life!”

Yibo shakes his head. “I don’t know what the move on a definition for you, I’m ok and I will be and about the nanny thing I need the details too like full details.”

Carmen replied. “Don’t you trust me… I’m calling from on very reliable source don’t worry.”

Yibo nodes his head but still there were millions of questions going on…

Xiao Zhan

“Little mice, someone has come to meet you.” The jailer scrawled at Zhan.

Zhan stands walks with him…

Everyone was right the jailer is really a bitch… he is already giving him tough time… most of the time he gives the task to Zhan when it’s their lunch or dinner time… it was pining Zhan somehow that jailer is doing deliberately to him.. he is unusually cruel to him…

Sometime Zhan thinks that his roommate Boashan might be right as the Wangs are bribing the jailer to make his life hell.

When he enters the visiting room he saw his brother Cheng… his head was down and he was looking nervous.

Zhan sat down and said “Cheng”

Cheng looks up and gives him a painful look. “I’m sorry…I hadn’t visited you soon.”

Zhan shakes his head. “Its ok, how are you and how’s everyone?”

Cheng looked disappointed and said. “Normal but forget this just tell me why you didn’t have the physical examination, you know you don’t have to serve here.”

Zhan sighs. “I told you before why I did that and even if we had the test they might manipulate the whole situation and I will be still held accountable for the action.”

Cheng gets angry. “But we can at least try and were you sure that they will kept his promise, he might not meet you to your daughter Fei.”

Zhan gives him a horrified look. “don’t say this…plz don’t say this…”

Cheng replied. “What they did with you, how can you trust even him still?”

Zhan was more confused and terrified. “Then please take Fei from them please…”

Cheng sighs. “Don’t you think I hadn’t tried that but those assholes are smart they know if they give us Fei then it will be bad for their case and press will be catered against them.”

Zhan silently cry and said. “I don’t know why it’s happening to me.”

Cheng squeezed his hand. “Hey I don’t want to upset you and I promised you I will not let you serve 6 years in jail. I will take you out but I’m here for something else.”

Zhan wiped his tears. “What tell me!”

Cheng hesitate. “It’s about dad and mom.”

Zhan stop him in anger. “I don’t want to hear anything regarding about them.”

Cheng nodes. “But this is important Zhan… dad… he is sick… like really sick…”

Zhan looked stunned. “What you mean.”

Cheng said. “he is dying… cancer… last stage he was diagnosed one year back he got better but now he is still fighting with it again.”

Zhan sobbed and put a hand on Cheng’s hand. “Why didn’t you told me before.”

Cheng looks emotional too. “I wanted too but dad he stops me… he was already in so much quilt that he married you to Yibo and how miserable you are so he doesn’t want to give you tension furthermore.”

“Like it matter nows.” Zhan yelled.

Cheng replied. “Shh calm down. I know it’s a shock for you…. it was for me too… I’m so sorry to hurt you but I thought it’s very important to tell you know…. mom is also deeply disturbed, she told us about your phone call and she is also guilty.”

Zhan looks away. “I don’t care what mom feel… I want to know dad is ok?”

Cheng sadly replied “I wish I can give a positive answer to you.”

Zhan starts seeing his father face who used to love him so much… Who used to play with him…

Zhan was in his thought that his visiting hours were gone he was taken to his cell.

And he looks at the selling of his cell and tears were falling down..

Was his life ever going to get any easier…
