Youwen follows Wei Weiying in the garden, he wanted to open what happened last night, but he is hesitant to do so, since he noticed the expression on Wei Ying’s face. One can see that there’s something going on with him but kept making that fake smile, he grew up with him, so he knows when he is happy, lonely, scared and even in love.

 

“Your Highness,” Youwen tried to get his attention.

 

“Oh, yes?”

 

“I would like to discuss what happened yesterday evening,” Xiao Zhan flinched when he heard the question.

 

“Hehe, I’m really sorry it won’t happen again.”

 

“I’ll make sure that it won’t happen again,” Youwen said to him while reaching for his hands, but Xiao Zhan took this opportunity to asked him a favor and grab Youwen’s hand as well.

 

“But please don’t tell this to Wen Rouhan, he’ll kill me!”

 

“Of course, I didn’t say anything to them, but please do not do that again, if you wanted to go out, I will go with you,” Youwen said while kissing his one hand. Xiao Zhan winced with the sudden skin ship and totally recalled what happened the last time they met, and he immediately took back his hands.

 

“Say, Youwen, I don’t want to put us in an awkward situation, but before I lose some of my memories, you know, do you, I mean, do we have a relationship?” Xiao Zhan asked him that maybe he’s in a relationship with his childhood friend as well, that’s why Lan Zhan hates him as well. He’s used in having one-night stand in his real world, but he despised and don’t tolerate cheating, so he wanted to clear their relationship to know about Wei Ying.

 

Youwen grimaced with the question, obviously Wei Ying remembered that kissed, but they don’t have any relationship that was just because of the heat of the moment.

 

“No, Your Highness, I, I am just your loyal subject,” Youwen sadly said, it was wrong for him to do that, but he cannot help during that time, and he wanted to console.

 

“I see, thank you for being honest Youwen,” Xiao Zhan said as he taps his shoulder, he’s not new with this kind of thing as he’s always been a center of attention and getting hit by someone. He knew that this man is in love with Wei Wuxian, but as far as he knows, Wei Wuxian is madly in love emperor so it must be urge of the moment that’s why he kissed Youwen, but he needs to set a line between them and a fine dominant alpha like Youwen deserves a good partner.

 

Lan Zhan went back to his room and asked Xue Yan to escort back Xiao Xingchen to his home. Lan Zhan looks for Wei Wuxian and asked some of their servants to look for him, but instead of waiting for him he looks for him. He saw his empress and readies to call him, but he noticed that he is not alone and seems that they are having a serious conversation, after a while he saw how the holds hand and the minister shamelessly kiss his empress hand. Unconsciously he walks toward their direction but freezes since he realized why he is so concerned with the two of them talking.

 

Even though Wei Ying is his empress, he knows that he does not feel anything about him and even he has his own lover. He clenched his fist by the fact because he shouldn’t bother them and just decides to go to Wei Ying’s place and wait for him there as they need to discuss something. He wanted to know why he did save them from the Wen Clan, what are his schemes and who is Wang Yibo.

 

Youwen escorted Xiao Zhan back to the palace and told him to always stay safe and he will assign more guards to his palace. As they reach the palace, they notice that there are a lot of servants outside and see the emperor on the pavilion.

 

“Your Highness, the emperor is here to visit you.” Wen Qing said to announce the king. Xichen also informed Lan Zhan that Wei Ying arrived, and he looks directly in the direction of Xiao Zhan and Youwen. While Youwen glares back at the emperor, it is obvious that the emperor is looking at him but maybe it was because of what happened to Xiao Xingchen. Youwen wanted Wei Ying to be happy, but he didn’t think that the emperor deserved him.

 

 

“Thank you Youwen, I’ll just call you when I’ll go outside,” Xiao Zhan said, he decided to compromise since he got scared of what happened last night. It is better to be safe than sorry, he thought.

 

“Then, I will wait for your command Your Highness,” Youwen said and left.

 

Xiao Zhan walks directly to Lan Zhan’s location, obviously he is here due to what happened earlier. Lan Xichen gave them some privacy and Xiao Zhan sat in front of Lan Zhan.

 

“How are you, Empress?”

 

“Aiyo, I’m fine,” Xiao Zhan said awkwardly.

 

“Why did you do that? ”

 

“Do what?”

 

“Why did you save us from Wen Rouhan?” Lan Zhan straightforwardly asked him.

 

“Well, just think of it as a payment, so that we are now equal, you, you saved me last night,” Xiao Zhan said as he mumbles the last part of his sentence.

 

“I see, but what are you doing with those alphas?” Lan Zhan irritably said but given that he has stoic face, Xiao Zhan didn even notice this.

 

Xiao Zhan explained what happened that night of course has no choice but to admit his sneaking out of the palace, but without his knowledge that Lan Zhan were fully aware that he sometimes sneaks at night.

 

Lan Zhan recalled that it happened before as well when he went to their room and Lan Zhan confirmed that he didn’t he knows nothing about their secret meeting on that pub, he felt somehow guilty that he tried to kill him it doesn’t change the fact that he is working with the Wen.

 

“Hey Lan Zhan, would you like to work together?” Xiao Zhan said.

 

“What do you mean?”

 

“When I said before that you should love me, uhm, please forget about it, don’t worry I already moved on with you,” Xiao Zhan defensively said, Wei Wuxian is the one who is in love with Lan Zhan and not him, besides he needs to give them a happy ending to get back to his real world. Lan Zhan flinched with the sudden statement but somehow, he is disappointed, he should be happy that he already moved on.

 

“We should help each other Lan Zhan, I know what you’re trying to do, you may look like a puppet but, I have seen it before I know you are just acting sometimes. I will help you.”

 

“How did you know?” Lan Zhan asked him sternly.

 

“Well, I have known someone, ahem for a long time. He has a stoic and cold face as you, but I know because of his micro expression,” Xiao Zhan said as he reminisces his times with Wang Yibo.

 

“Is he, the man you mentioned last night?”

 

“Well, I’m sorry about that I’m so wasted, and I didn’t know it was you, but yes, that’s the man I am talking to,” Xiao Zhan said and it is the truth, he didn’t just mention that they have the same face.

 

“Is he important to you?”

 

“Aiyo, why does it matter? You don’t know him, just forget about him. Going back to our topic, are in with our alliance?”

 

“Mn, let me think about it.”

 

During the past days, Xiao Zhan recalled some memories of Wei Ying, he knew that Wen Clan is just using them because of the Stygian Tiger Amulet but he didn’t even know how to use it, he needs to learn some self-defense as well.

 

He knew that Wei Wuxian is using a Demonic Cultivation and use Chenqing as a medium. He needs to clear up the misunderstanding between Wei Ying and Lan Zhan. On the other hand, Lan Zhan wanted to ask him about who is Wang Yibo but he might need to investigate it privately.
