CH – Chapter- 26

Xiao Zhan

 

“Look at you big girl. I can’t believe you are six months old.” Zhan play with his daughter when he was changing her clothes.

 

Indeed Fei was growing daily as her all old clothes were too small to fit.

 

Zhan decided to buy some clothes but was unsure how to say that to Yibo…

 

He do not want to give Yibo the expression that he likes shopping and want to stay outside like rich people.

 

Zhan still doesn’t know what his place in Yibo life…

 

Although Yibo has been distant but civil to him… still Zhan can’t predict Yibo mood swing…

 

That’s why he uses some of the money he had that Mr Wang has given him before Fei birth to buy clothes… he sends Mrs. Shuli who was going to Doctor for her check up.

 

Mrs. Shuli assures him that it’s not a problem for her…

 

So here he is dressing his daughter who looked so beautiful… her hair is also getting little long that made his daughter prettier.

 

He gets out of his wing and took Fei in the garden where both daughter and mother spend time…

 

When they both settle down Zhan is amazed how his daughter points out at everything she sees in the sky but then he heard.

 

“Having a fun time with your daughter.” Carmen said sarcastically.

 

Zhan become tense and saw it was Carmen.

 

Carmen look down on them and said.

 

“She looks fine now… the mark is already gone from her head.”

 

Carmen said while looking at Fei in a bored expression.

 

Zhan move a distance from Carmen…

 

After Fei incident Zhan always felt uncomfortable to leave Fei with Carmen even someone also is present… call it his maternal instinct or something he has a feeling Carmen was behind Fei accident.

 

Carmen evil smiled and said sarcastically.

 

“You think boy you have made a place in my son’s heart… tsk tsk such a dumb-headed boy you are like… Yibo used to say to you, if you think he will ever accept you this daughter of yours then you are so wrong.. he told me how much he hates you and this daughter of yours.”

 

Zhan felt water in his eyes but he controls it…

 

Carmen then said.

 

“If you think that now you are mother of Yibo child and he will protect you and Fei then sweetheart you are stupid… because he can’t save her when I kicked her on the chair that let your child bleed… but you know that when he comes to me he told me he believes I didn’t do it…. and he trust me.”

 

Zhan was stun what he is hearing.

 

“How dare you… to even touch my daughter.”

 

Zhan was bloody furious… he wants to kill Carmen.. he want to hurt her likes she hurt his child.

 

Carmen narrow her eyes.

 

“Now you speak too. That amazes me but also makes me angry too. But listen very carefully if I ever got a chance to hurt your child I will do it in a second so protect her from this cruel world sweetheart you never know who attack her and when.”

 

Carmen sarcastically smiled at her.

 

Zhan tightens his hold on Fei…. oh my god… Carmen is a psycho woman… how she can do this with his child…, he hugged her and made up his mind he will never let that women shadow on Fei.

In the night…

 

Zhan was done with the dinner and other stuff and was waiting for Yibo, He has gone somewhere.

 

He saw his father in law waiting for him in the wing.

 

Mr. Wang had come last week, he has kind smile on his face and beamed with happiness when he saw Zhan, he was holding Fei with whom Mr Wang spend her time daily.

 

Mr Wang adore Fei and it was clear whenever he saw her…

 

He said. “I brought my favorite girl in the world who was getting little cranky so I brought it here for you.. I thought it will be rude for me to call my beautiful son in my wing… I hope it’s not your sleeping time.”

 

Zhan smiled and shake his head and became emotional when Mr Wang said him his son… for a moment he remember his father.

 

Mr. Xiao might not be over affectionate but he loved Zhan and has a softer side for him as compared to his other kids but where did that all gone…

 

Why his father never bothers to check on him if he is alive or not…

 

Mr Wang becomes worried when he saw tears in Zhan’s eyes and said.

 

“Hi, whats wrong my beautiful son… did I say something wrong.”

 

Zhan wiped his tears and said. “It’s nothing Mr Wang, I just get emotional, when you called me your son it makes me happy and miss my father that’s it.”

 

Mr. Wang let excited Fei to play with his tie who was putting it in her mouth…

 

Mr Wang make Zhan sit in the main sitting area and get emotional seeing Zhan like that…

 

“Well honestly speaking it makes me happy too when I called you my son. ( he smiled at him) and I will be happier if you called me dad, if you want to… no pressure.”

 

Zhan lost it and tears make his face drenched and hug Mr Wang.

 

“I will very happy to call you dad.”

 

Zhan gives the pacifier to Fei who has drenched Mr Wang tie completely.

 

Mr. Wang looks at Fei and laughs.

 

“Look what you did young lady.” Fei giggle.

 

Mr Wang was overwhelmed and said.

 

“Why don’t you meet your father Zhan or why he doesn’t come here not even when Fei was born.”

 

Mr Wang kissed Fei head protectively that made him more emotional.

 

Zhan doesn’t know what to say but he knew he should say something appropriate otherwise Yibo will be angry and last time he put him in the basement room for days and he also get angry when he thought Zhan told something to Cheng.

 

This time Zhan has no idea what Yibo will do although something significant has changed between them and Zhan doesn’t want to change that… in reality he was liking it…

 

Zhan calmly said. “He used to but he is very busy with his business and now youngest brother Cheng also joins him soon so they are busy on that.”

 

Mr. Wang do not look convincing but he does not push him more.

 

“That’s sad but there was a time I was busier than now. Yifei used to complain how I spend more time in different countries than here. But I was bound with work, you know we were not all rich and mighty but as soon as my business started spreading our family time cut short. Which I regret that I can’t spend time with my daughter more. Even I know Yibo was there to look after family and especially Yifei….

 

(Mr Wang smiled and was lost in thoughts)

 

“Yibo literally took care of Yifei like a father did.. he loved her too much maybe she was the baby of the house, she was loved by everyone but I think Yibo loved her the most even more than us, he can’t even bear her small cuts and wounds she almost get in playing… But when we lost her.. I think everyone lost themselves and Yibo was the one who was most effective by this!”

 

Zhan was stun and also feeling bad for Yibo, now it makes sense why he is like that.

 

Because he lost Yifei forever and he is punishing him for this.

 

Both of them so lost in their thought that they flinched when they heard Haikuan and Carmen yelling and they were running towards Mr. Wang.

 

Carmen was crying and said. “Yibo.. oh my god.”

 

My Wang was taken aback by this and said.

 

“Carmen what’s wrong for god sake say something, Haikuan, you tell me what’s happening.”

 

Haikuan was also very disturbed and emotional.

 

Zhan knew something very bad happen.

 

“Dad. Yibo.. I just got a call from the hospital Yibo had an accident… he is now. hospital.”

 

Zhan felt someone stop his breathing supply what’s happening to him. He can’t feel like this, he should be happy this may be the end for his misery but he felt nothing but intense pain.

 

He don’t want to lose him… oh god what’s wrong with me but if something happen to him.

 

No nothing will happen to him but what’s wrong with me what I even thinking…

 

He felt like blackout and heard voice.

 

“Zhan calm down. Someone bring water for him. Come on, Zhan sit down.” Mr Wang said to him.

 

Carmen yelled at Zhan which makes his condition more worse…

 

“He is the bad omen in my family, he is responsible for this. how much you will take from me, you bitch, if something happens to my son. I will kill you.”

 

Haikuan comes between Zhan and his mother.

 

“Mom plz calm down… come mom lets go to the hospital, let’s go.”

 

Mr. Wang was stun what he saw and how his wife attack Zhan.

 

Mrs. Shuli come weakly to see what’s happening but was shocked by what she had heard…

 

She took Fei from Mr Wang hold. Who looked to shaken by the news.

 

Haikuan said. “Dad you are coming?”

 

Mr Wang just nod nervously.

 

Mrs Shuli come to Zhan and gives him water and Zhan cry on her lap.

 

“Mrs. Shuli. I don’t know what’s happening to me.”

 

“Ssh ssh my child just take a deep breath, it’s not good For Fei look how she is looking so scared.”

 

Mrs Shuli calm him down and when Zhan looked his child he holds her and kissed her while crying.

 

“I know. I know, but.. oh god, Yibo will be ok?” Zhan asked nervously.

 

Mrs. Shuli was stun how Zhan was worried about Yibo after all this time he was nothing but a cruel bastard to Zhan.

 

But still she calm him down. “I believe he will be. Now you relax.”

 

Zhan nodes but he won’t relax… how can he when his mind and heart is confusing him like that.
