Xiao Zhan

Looking at his daughter’s big eyes… just like him.

Zhan can’t help it and cry in happiness, doctor says it’s a miracle he is alive but he has to be.

He can’t leave his child here in this cruel world alone.

He needs to make his daughter stronger make her happy and save from these peeple, laying in this cold hospital bed alone and feeding his daughter gives him so much calmness and contentment that he never felt in his almost 25 years of his life.

He can love someone so much he realized now. His daughter is a miracle to him and he will cherish her.

He saw the hospital room open and found out it was his father in law.

Mr. Wang looked worried like a father should be. He walked toward him and kissed his forehead.

“Oh Zhan, you scared us all.”

Zhan can’t be sure who was scared or happy but knows Mr Wang was telling the truth.

He smiled. “I’m ok. I’m happiest my daughter is healthy and fine.”

Mr Wang looks at the little bundle who was attached to her mother side and was looking with her doe eyes.

Mr. Wang said in an emotional voice, “Can I hold her.”

Zhan gladly gives his daughter to her grandfather.

Mr Wang looked at his daughter with such love and affection and then Zhan saw tears were falling from his eyes.

“thank you Zhan, she is so beautiful. I can’t imagine being a grandfather of this beautiful girl she looks like Yifei… oh god you give back my Yifei.”

Now he was crying emotionally.

Zhan also cry the pain and love he saw in Mr Wang eyes make him more emotional.

Then Mr Wang said he wants a photograph of this angel he takes out his expensive phone and took their snap…

Mr. Wang said. “This is perfect.. this picture will be with me forever.”

Then there was knock on a door and nurse came to take his daughter but Mr Wang stop the nurse and said.

“I don’t know what you even name her!”

Zhan smiled. “I want you to name her.. i will be honoured”

Mr Wang looked so overwhelmed and grateful. “I love to name her ‘Wang Fei’.

Zhan softly repeat the name ‘Fei… it’s beautiful…

After the nurse took their little Fei, Mr Wang then said. “You are getting the discharge and I can image you already spend your 3 weeks in the hospital you must be excited to go home.”

Zhan sighs. “yeah hospital makes me tenser than ever where are everyone!”

Mr Wang look uncomfortable.

“Yibo is in the office, I knew you must be angry and I try to stop him but that idiot was hell bound to attend the conference but he convinces me he will be back at the time of your discharge.”

Zhan just nodes after he opens his eyes he first saw him Yibo was looking deeply into his eyes.

Zhan realized it was Yibo voice that motivates him to awake but he also realized suddenly Yibo doesn’t want him to die because he is still not ready to take care of their daughter.

After some hours…

He was discharged and Mr Wang was holding his little Fei, who was sleeping peacefully…

They were waiting for Yibo, then Mr Wang cellphone ring.

“Hello.. where are you Yibo we are waiting for you.. what… seriously Yibo. I get it but your presence is more important here…ok see you at home.”

Mr Wang looked at Zhan in guilt, but Zhan gives him small smile.. he doesn’t want Mr. Wang to feel bad for him… he was expecting that.

Mr Wang explains to Zhan Yibo was busy in some work as foreign delegates are coming to the office, Zhan gives him an understanding node..

But deep down Zhan knew Yibo was ignoring any moment to be with him and Fei… he was hurt and angry that how his daughter is going to face hatred from his father, grandmother and all other people who think Zhan is responsible for Yifei death.

Zhan kissed his daughter pink fat cheeks and held her protectively.

When they reached the mansion. He saw no one to receive them.

Mr Wang was also confused where are everyone…

Mrs, Shuli come with a smiling face and said. “Welcome home my child. And look this bundle of joy welcome home sweetie.”

Mr. Wang said. “Where is Carmen and Ann.”

Mrs, Shuli hesitate but then said. “Mrs Wang is gone outside with Ann I don’t know where!”

Mr. Wang gives a stun expression.

“Gone out? Didn’t they know a new member of our family is coming first time in the house and there is no one to welcome them properly. Everyone is acting it’s nothing and busy with their daily work… it’s ridiculous. I don’t know what’s happening here.”

Zhan calms down Mr Wang and said.

“It’s ok Dad. I think everyone wants to finish their work on time so that they can properly spend time with Fei and Fei and I am also tired so I will take a nap. why don’t you take a rest too. You have been in the hospital with me for 3 weeks… it must be tiring just go and take a good sleep so that at dinner time we both are fresh.”

Mr. Wang knows something else is behind this why not anyone is happy with Fei birth, even Yibo doesn’t look excited as a young father should. He knew it’s was something big which is everyone is hiding from him. He looked at Zhan, tried the face and innocent eyes and wished all the happiness for this poor boy who has been nothing but softhearted and loving boy but with sad eyes.

He smiled at Zhan and kissed his granddaughter and went to his roem, to call his wife and son and to know what the hell they are doing to poor Zhan.

When Zhan enters his room with Mrs. Shuli she said.

“Zhan the things you have told me about Fei stuff. I have carefully put in the bedside drawer of your side and also I put the crib in the tv sitting area and you were right it was quite bared so I put Fei stuff there.”

TV sitting area was joined to Zhan and Yibo bedroom… he went there and saw a cute wooden crib.

He gently put his angel and kissed her and looked at her properly.

He has been in so much misery and pain all of his married life but if he has to bear all of this to have Fei then he will happily tolerate again.

He grace his fingers on Fei small chest and smiled at her.

Mrs. Shuli told Zhan to take a bath then he can sleep.

Zhan did exact like that and he felt very fresh and light.
