After 1 year..

Xiao Zhan.

He groaned when he felt cold water on his face, he flinched suddenly and open his eye immediately which was a bad idea as he saw his angry husband holding a cup and glaring at him…

Zhan started breathing heavily and start praying Yibo won’t hit him because he is already so sore and his body is covered with fresh bruises from yesterday’s treatment…

“Good morning wifey… so you have decided to open your eyes… you know when I woke up I need fresh coffee on my table with my clothes ready but none of it done yet…” Yibo yelled at him.

Zhan gets up from the thin mattress from the floor, which has been his bed from a year and winced because of the sore back…

“I’m sorry, I.. I didn’t know I slept late… I will do it now just give me five minutes ok.”

Yibo glared at him and coldly said.

“You know how much I hate laziness and delay in my work… some things clear to you from time to time, fucking listen to me for once otherwise you will see the consequences.”

“I’m so.. so sorry I think I was so tired last night so might have overslept.” Zhan said in a soft voice.

“And now you are making complaints about it.” Yibo sarcastically said.

Zhan shakes his head and said “No Yi… sir you are just twisting my words.”

Then he felt the slap on his face.

“How fucking dare you to reply me back you bitch and lower your grace I can’t see those ugly eyes first in the morning… go make breakfast for everyone I will have my coffee in the dining table with my family.”

Zhan just shakes and tears were in his eyes and went to the kitchen to make breakfast for everyone…

Just like Yibo hate him… in everyone include Yibo’s mother Carmen who always looked down at him and say cruel things to him, then his brother Haikuan and his wife Ann, both see him through suspicious eyes, they lived in the different wings of this big house but sometime used dining table for dinner and frequently for breakfasts……

Zhan never knows the reason behind of their hate. He always tried to find out but it backfires it him…

But all he knows it has to do something about his older brother Xiaojun who died in a car accident but still what it has to do with him he never knows.

The only person in the family who regard him is Yibo’s father Mr. James senior, he is always out of the country but once in a month he does come to meet his family…

He looks like Yibo but his kind eyes always regard Zhan like he is a human.

Zhan doesn’t know how long he was thinking when he heard Mrs. Shuli voice.

“My child… What are you staring at? Come on, leave it I will do the rest you eat something before another order came for you.” she said to him in her kind voice…

She is the only person in the house who truly care for Zhan, when Zhan cry she gives him shoulder to him and comfort him when Zhan is covered in bruises and blood she put bandage at his wounds…

When his own parents show their back on him she always silently stand for Zhan.

Zhan gives her a shaky smile. “I can’t right now, I overslept and I’m late to do morning chores so If I eat now everyone will become angry.”

She looked at him with so much love and Zhan saw tears in her eyes.

“My child… I wish I can do something for you… of course you overslept they way these people make you do all the work of this huge house more than us it breaks me (she touched Zhan cheek which was turning into dark red because of Yibo morning whiplash) I always wanted to tell Mr Wang senior how you are treated here, how Mr Wang junior is violent towards you, he is a good man he will help you, Zhan.”

Zhan shakes his head and said. “No need even he doesn’t know about the things here, still he will support his son not me.. and it will create more problem for me so I’m touched you are here for me that’s more than enough.”

Then he heard voices in the dining room and he prays that today nothing would get wrong for him as it is already…

He tells the butler to take the cooked breakfast he is bringing other stuff…

When he enter the dining room he saw everyone was laughing about something but when they saw him they stop laughing and looked him with hate.

Carmen (Yibo mother) said, “Where’s my morning tea and medicine.”

Yibo looked at him once again with accusing eyes like Zhan made a big crime.

“What the fuck is wrong with you today.. you know mom needs her medicine and tea first in the morning, her routine is fixed you dumb headed”

But Mrs Shuli run and give him his mother in law medicine and said, “Sorry Mr Wang it’s my fault Mrs Wang medicine was finished so I brought them today in the morning.”

Yibo looked at Zhan once again like he did not believe that excuse but he nodes.

Zhan wasn’t allowed to sit with them, he had to wait until they need anything and after that he can eat which is quite rare…

Because most of the time Mrs Wang friends came in the morning and he has to entertain them then Ann comebacks home with her friends with her society snobs and those days when Zhan luck is worse is when Yibo decided to do his work in home.

Which means Zhan has to be there all time to entertain him in whatever way Yibo wants, which is not so pleasant for him.

Zhan has lost so much weight that he never lost in his whole life, because of the poor eating routine of him.

“Oh my god it so much oil in this egg, I can’t eat this.” Ann said.

Haikuan said “Sweety it’s ok, have something else.”

“No I’m going to have something in the office, Zhan if you can’t cook then plz stop killing us with this kind of food making.” She looked at him with disgust and Zhan knows he is in big trouble because the way Yibo was clinging his fist.

“I’m sorry.. I.. will make it again!”

“Just leave it, I’m going.” she leaves the table and with her Haikuan run to stop her

“Just go the room now.” Yibo said in a low but very dark voice.

Now Zhan can’t stop his tears he knows what will happen when he entered their room.

Zhan looked at his mother in law to stop her son but she looked at him like she is bored she just stand and leave the dining room.

Zhan bitterly thought why he will be most of the time. Carmen is the one who makes Yibo beat Zhan because of his mother in law lies and Yibo love and trust his mother way too much he did not ask her twice and strike Zhan whenever he wants.

Zhan wait in the room for what Yibo will do to him.

Then Yibo enters… and walked slowly and said, “You like it when I hurt you.” he whisper

Zhan looked down and shake his head. “No sir.”

“I differ to that… so you not only ruined everyone breakfast but also lie to me, Zhan you know by now how much I hate liars’.” Yibo gives him a disappointed look.

Zhan starts shaking and holds his breath for the slap he knows will be coming, Yibo grabbed his hair roughly that made Zhan to be twisted in a painful way…

Yibo dropped him in the floor and kicked his stomach and Zhan just makes a painful sound that echoes in the whole house.

“You are lucky that I’m getting late otherwise I will give you more than this, but don’t forget your place you will stay in the room for whole day and don’t you dare to come out till I came home you know I will know if you defy me.”

Yibo bend and said to Zhan’s ear.

Zhan just flinched and hold his stomach like a wounded animal and silently sobbed.
