MPLB-14.1 Was Anyone Greater Than Wang Yibo

Zhan and Darren were heading to the hotel just as Zanjin had said.

But, Chuyue and Jili immediately arrived at the hotel.

Zhan and Darren were just one step ahead of them. They never intended to go on a secret date in the first place.

“How could the landlord suddenly pull back your room? He didn’t even inform earlier. This is too much!” Jili complained as he was packing his stuff.

“I heard that this has something to do with the Lu family Since that incident surrounding Lu Enjie had happened, it is natural that the landlord has decided not to rent that place to us anymore in an effort to vanquish suspiciousness.”

Chuyue was not one bit disturbed by this at all.

The landlord already returned them their deposit, and they didn’t need to pay for one month’s worth of rental money too.

In the end, they were the ones who benefitted from this, But, about them having no choice but to stay in a hotel….

Chuyue scanned his surroundings before landing his gaze on Zhan. He was obviously feeling quite uneasy.

“Zhan, this hotel room must have been very costly. How much we need to pay to sleep here for one night?”

“Around five hundred Yuan,”

“Five hundred Yuan!” Chuyue exclaimed, “Why didn’t you choose an affordable hotel? There’s a modest hotel near the school, and it only costs around two hundred Yuan for one night.”

“Darren is hurt now, how can we just simply stay in any hotel which is not up to par? What if he is infected by bacteria?”

“I’m fine.” Darren displayed a smile as he replied nonchalantly “This is just a minor injury.”

“How could that be a minor injury? Your bones are on the verge of exposing themselves.” Jili retorted as images of his injury came to his mind.

Jili couldn’t help but shudder at the thought of his injury. It was a terrifying injury!

If he was slashed with a greater force, could Darren still preserve his arm now? Jili recoiled at the thought of this!

“I haven’t expressed my proper gratitude yet.” Zhan looked at Darren and he was harboring the same thoughts as Jili. There was still lingering  fear in his heart.

“You don’t need to thank me.” Darren hated it when Zhan wanted to thank him like this. He changed the topic immediately, “When you went back last night… Did Young Master Wang make things difficult for you?”

When Zhan heard that, he immediately lowered his gaze as a helpless glint flashed in his eyes.

Zhan forced a smiled while replying with ease, “Actually, I can’t even be considered as Young Master Wang’s friend at this point. You guys are aware that we’re just tied together because of an arranged marriage by our families.”

“So, there wouldn’t have any difficulties in our relationship at all. He immediately went to sleep after returning home on his own and did not pay any attention to me.”

Darren’s lips moved slightly as though he wanted to say something, but in the end, he remained silent.

Young Master Wang was definitely not just a partner in their arranged marriage.

Last night, when Young Master Wang arrived at the scene to rescue Zhan, he was obviously relieved when he saw that Zhan was not harmed.

For someone like Young Master Wang, who should not have looked so relieved even before Mount Tai collapsed, it was obvious how nervous he was before he saw Zhan.

It was not that Young Master Wang did not care about him; it was just that this boy didn’t notice this yet.

“Alright, you should get as much rest as you can here. Chuyue and I will go look for a new place to rent.”

After declaring that, Jili pushed Zhan slightly and added, “I think you don’t have any classes to attend in the afternoon, right? Zhan, after you finish your class, remember to come here to look after Darren”

“Alright.”

Jili and Chuyue took their wallets and immediately left the hotel to find new house to rent.

Zhan checked the time on his phone and realized that it was already half past eight now.

He already missed his first class. By the time he reached his class, he could only attend his second class.

“Darren…”

“Go ahead to your class; I’m sleepy by the way I need to doze off a little.” Darren reassured him.

“Alright, then have a good rest and don’t  go out. I’ll get you some food after the classes have ended.”

Seeing that he had nodded in agreement, Zhan swiftly carried his bag and left the hotel.

Darren stared at the door which was just closed by Zhan moments ago and a solemn look entered his eyes.

This poor boy must have suffered a lot last night, but he didn’t show any sign of complaints in front of them.

He could sense Zhan changes recently.

Zhan had become quiet and collected. At the same time, he had become sharp. It felt like he had suddenly grown up quite a bit, but his age was clearly just eighteen years old.

In the past, he always felt worrisome and pitiful about Zhan. But lately, there were some strange emotions coursing through his heart whenever he saw Zhan.

As for what kind of feelings it was, he could not explain it. He didn’t want to find out anyway.

This scenario was the best one he could ever ask for.

There was some sound drifting in from outside the room, and the door was suddenly opened again.

Darren couldn’t suppress his laughter, “You little rascal, you are still so forgetful…”

Then, he suddenly froze, because it was not Zhan who had barged in at this moment.

Zanjin had flung open the door and then he stepped aside politely.

Then, Wang Yibo who had a terrible coolness as shown on his face came in.

This was the first time Darren was being so near to Yibo.

Although they fought side by side together last night, because of the low visibility at night, Darren wasn’t able to see Young Master Wang’s face clearly.

At a first glance, even Darren had to admit it. In the entire Beijing, there was probably no one more outstanding than Young Master Wang.

It was no wonder Zhan always had a look of admiration hidden in his eyes whenever he laid eyes on him.

Young Master Wang’s appearance and temperament could easily make girls and gers go crazy.

But Darren was not a female, so no matter how dazzling Yibo was, he wouldn’t get himself too worked up. At the very most, there’s a hint of admiration in his eyes. He wouldn’t go crazy because of him.

Darren remained motionless on the bed while glaring at the two people who entered the room.

Zanjin took a chair and put in next to Yibo, but Yibo continued to stand rooted to the spot and did not have any intention of sitting.

“How can I help you, Young Master Wang?” For someone like Yibo, time was money.

What was important was that he would not personally visit.

Darren snickered coldly, “Could it be that someone has reported to you that Zhan and I have been doing things behind other’s back in this hotel?”

Last night, there was an inconspicuous Maybach which was parked by the road near the stalls for a long time.

This man had been staring at Zhan while seated inside the car.

Although Zhan was oblivious to this fact, Darren had been very aware of this.

“My person; even if he wanted to do something behind other’s back, he wouldn’t do it with you anyway.” There was no wasted emotion displayed on his ever handsome features.

Darren looked gloomy. The way he looked at Yibo also had a complicated look that no one could see through.

After they stared at each other for two seconds, Darren added, “Zhan has saved me, so I won’t hesitate even if I need to sacrifice my life for him.”

He sat on the bed while Yibo was standing next to a chair. Their auras made Zanjin feel small in an instant.

Zanjin didn’t expect that a boy who was only twenty years old could match the Young Master in terms of aura.

What was the background of this guy?

“I won’t do anything that will hurt him or putting him in a difficult position.” Darren didn’t shy away from Yibo’s piercing gaze, “If I have my eyes set on something, I will chase after it upright and honestly.”

He had made it very clear.

Unless Zhan left Yibo on his own volition.

“You better give up on this idea as soon as possible.”

He wouldn’t have this chance!

Yibo snorted coldly and left the room.

Zanjin looked towards Darren and said, “My little guy….”

After being stared at fiercely by him, Zanjin made a coughing sound as he changed his words, “Mr. Darren, the culprit from yesterday has been captured. Please come with me.”

It was 11.40, and Zhan rushed out of the school building after packing up his stuff the moment his class ended.

When he had just taken a few steps out of the building, something was hurled towards him.

Zhan was alert enough to dodge that incoming object by darting sideways, but he couldn’t keep himself completely unaffected by that thing.

It turned out to be water but not some acidic substance which could disfigure someone’s face.

He glared at three people who were standing on the side, “What do you mean by this?”

“I don’t mean anything by doing this, it’s just that the weather is too hot, and we’re spraying water to cool down the air. Who knows that you would be in our way?”

The girl who was holding plastic bucket retorted with her own reasoning.

“You’re really a slut; everybody knows that we’re spraying water here so they have left this space. You, on the other hand, barge in just like that.”

The other two girls behind giggled as they added, “You’re right, how can someone be so stupid? You’re getting sprayed by water we used to wash our legs, haha…”

There was quite a number of students watching the show around. However, no one dared to come and say anything.

They were just interested to see how things would develop, so they could enjoy themselves.

Zhan clenched his fists while sweeping his icy glare at the three of them. Then, he bit his lips and stomped towards the school gate.

But before he could take two step, he was stopped by a girl abruptly.

“Stop right there, you ugly duckling. Do you think you can just run off like this after bullying someone?”

One of the girls next to him immediately stumbled to the ground as she started to moan, “This is so painful! Zhan, why did you hit me?”

Zhan had a new perception on these girls after hearing that.

They were so good in acting, why don’t they all become actresses?

It was really a disaster. He could bully people even if he walked a proper path.

Some of the onlookers immediately understood that these girls were trying to frame Zhan!

But as the numbers of onlookers increase, many more were unaware of the truth surrounding this commotion.

They only saw a girl who was wailing and moaning on the ground, and Zhan the ugly boy was being halted by them.

It pretty much looked like Zhan was trying to run away after hitting someone but he was caught.

“What do you want?” Zhan stared at these girls in front of him while asking flatly.

“You bullied her, Apologize!”

“Damini, you have to get him to pay for my medical expenses.” The moaning girl scoffed.

The girl named Damini immediately agreed, “Right, you need to apologize to me and pay her medical fees!”

Zhan glanced sideways at the girl on the ground before shifting his gaze on Damini.

He laughed coldly. “Did I touch her anywhere? Pay her medical fees? Why don’t you become a robber instead?”

“Zhan, you have hit someone yet you’re still being arrogant here!”

The girl who was on the ground clutched her stomach and her face was distorted now, “I feel so painful…”

The onlookers started to criticize Zhan, “He has gone too far.”

“Yes, how could he hit someone in the school compound? He’s being too arrogant!”

“I heard that he followed a very rich old man. He has plenty of money, that’s why this ugly monster is so unrestrained.”

“Really? He looks so… ridiculous, but you said that someone is actually willing to give him money?”

“Didn’t you watch Jili’s live stream two days ago? There was a man who appeared with Zhan, but his face was hidden.”

“I remember him now after you said that, Gosh, that man has a nice voice. I have repeated that part over and over again.”

“Too bad that guy is a bad old man…”

Instantly, Zhan and the bad old man’s topic reignited among the crowd.

Damini glared at Zhan while shouting. “Don’t you think you can always have your way even though you have a rich man backing you up.”

“You’re right; he has teamed up with that rich man last time and forced Enjie to record that kind of live broadcast. He has made Enjie into a bad person who’s despised by others.”

Another girl chipped in loudly, “Nobody knew that it was that man who had forced Enjie to start that live broadcast.”

“Of course I know. I was outside at that time but I did not dare to go in. There were more than ten thugs guarding th door. Anyone who did not listen would be beaten up!!!”

Damini was saying everything with righteous indignation, and her gaze was boring a hole in Zhan as if she wanted to tear him apart.

“Does this ugly monster think he’s so great? You actually brought more than a dozen thugs to force Enjie to record a live broadcast as well as beating her up. I saw it with my own eyes!”

This matter happened so suddenly. It was impossible for Zhan, this slut, to turn on a live broadcast or record something.

Therefore, Damini and the other two girls were not afraid of leaving behind any evidence of slander.

“Do you dare to repeat what you said just now?” Zhan took out his phone while warning her.

But immediately, Damini threw a slap in his way and Zhan couldn’t dodge her. His phone fell to the ground.

“He’s going to call his bad old man again. He’s plotting to harm me again!”

This time, those people who originally saw them slander him also immediately  became disgusted with Zhan.

Looks like the matter of this ugly boy forcing Lu Enjie to live broadcast was actually true.

Someone immediately took photos and even videos to clarify for Enjie.

They were feeling sorry and indignant for Lu Enjie.

But, Zhan knew the truth very well. Enjie was the one who was behind all of these.

This girl had never had any intelligence. Why did her intelligence explode this time?

It was as if she had an expert backing her up.

As for the expert behind Enjie, other than Yangzi, who else could it be?

These battle was fierce. Who knows, this might really be able to turn the tables for Enjie.

This move was really brilliant!

“Zhan, what more do you want to say about this?” Damini took a step forward.

To her surprise, Zhan didn’t move an inch. He didn’t even flinch and back off from her.

Damini was a little stunned. She originally thought that since everyone hated him so much now, this ugly boy should be afraid no matter what, right?

But the truth was that he had some guts even though he was ugly!

Zhan continued to stare at her while replying faintly, “You have said everything without giving me a chance to refute, so what do you expect me to say now?”

“Then you are admitting that the person behind you brought more than ten thugs and forced Enjie to broadcast live to restore your friend reputation?”

“I don’t admit that,” Zhan suddenly took a step forward while gazing at her sharply. His icy glare sent a chill running down her spine.

“It’s a crime to bring so many thugs and hit someone in the hospital. This is against the law. Call the police!”

“You…”

“Beijing is a place ruled according to law, so of course such a thing wouldn’t be allow to happen. I hope you can call the police now. If you don’t want to do it, I will.”

He took another step forward and this time Damini staggered backwards as if she was intimidated by him.

“My phone is damaged by you now, what about you call the police now? I can use this chance to let them prove my innocence too since I’ve never done any of those things.”

“Otherwise, if you keep on spouting nonsense like this with your mouth, How many people have been wronged to the point that they want to jump off building?”

He continued to press forward, and Damini continued to stagger backwards in response.

As everybody saw that Zhan was looking relaxed, someone finally whispered, “Actually, he didn’t touch those girls at all. That girl fell to the ground by herself.”

“Yes, I also saw Zhan almost get himself splashed with water by them.”

Of course, there was a faction in the crowd who were standing by Enjie and Damini’s side.

“Damini, don’t be scared of him, just call the police. He hit someone anyway!”

“That’s right; we can be your witnesses, so you don’t have anything to be afraid of.”

“Yes, we are all witnesses, what are you scared of?”

Zhan lifted the corner of his mouth as he scanned the crowd, “Hey, which of you has seen me actually pushing her to the ground just now?”

He pointed at that girl on the ground who was still clutching her stomach.

“If I have really pushed her, there should be my fingerprints on her body. Which of you actually seen me pushing her with your bare eyes? If any of you could prove that I have pushed her, I will reward that person with one hundred thousand Yuan!”

One hundred thousand Yuan! For the majority of students, this was an immeasurable amount!

A few students among the crowd were raring to go for it since the money was very tempting.

However, did they really see what happened with their own eyes?

“If it’s found that there aren’t any of my fingerprints on this girl’s body, but someone claims that he has seen me pushing her’ and provides this observation as evidence, he could very well be charged with slander crime.”

“Zhan, are you trying to threaten us now?” Damini grabbed her only opportunity to fight back as she retorted.

Zhan just snickered coldly while looking down on her, “I’m not making empty threats. I’m just stating the truth. Can you be sure that she really has my fingerprints on her clothes?”

Who could be sure of that? After all, nobody had actually seen him pushing that girl!

Judging from Zhan’s arrogant attitude at the moment, If someone really saw it,  they would definitely stand out.

But why didn’t anyone stand out?

Could it be that these three girls were really slandering him?

“Just now, I think she fell down purposely by herself.” Someone offered softly.

“Damini, why haven’t you called the police yet?” Zhan took another two steps forward.

Damini was astonished by his action and she unexpectedly flopped to the ground as she whimpered, “Zhan…”

“What is it? Are you going to say that I have pushed you right now? I don’t think your trick is working anymore; I never even touch you for once. This time, I’m sure everybody can be my witness.”

Yes! Zhan really didn’t touch her. However, she was frightened by Zhan’s aura. Does this count as Zhan bullying others?

Speaking on this, why was Zhan’s cold aura so powerful?

In the past, wasn’t he a stupid and ugly fool?

“Why haven’t you called the police yet?” Zhan stared at Damini who was sitting on the ground.

He looked high and mighty right now, as the others were starting to panic.

Damini was still recovering from the shock, and she only returned to normal after a while.

She gnashed her teeth while clambering up from the ground, and then she threw a glare at Zhan while bellowing, “You have gone too far!”

“I’m just urging you to call the police, how is that going too far?? I need them to prove my innocence too.”

Zhan was expressionless at this moment. His eyes were cold and indifferent, and he looked aloof and majestic right now.

“You are slandering me for forcing Enjie and claiming that I had brought a dozen thugs to Enjie’s ward. The Suntech Hospital is a big hospital, I’m sure there are a lot of surveillance cameras, am I wrong?”

“No one in the hospital saw such a serious incident happened, and no one upload photos online?”

“Could it be that the hospital want me to do whatever I want, and they don’t even dare to call the police. Do you think they would be this intimidated?”

“Your… your… the man behind you is too powerful…” Damini was stammering now as she couldn’t find anything to refute him.

“The internet is so developed now. No matter how powerful a man is, even someone at Young Master Wang’s level cannot control the public opinion on the internet.”

However, in Beijing, I wanted to take out a typical big shot to talk about. Young Master Wang was naturally the first choice.

Who asked him to undoubtedly famous than the rest of the family?

“Maybe you should tell me, who else can be so powerful than him to the point that he can even control public opinions?”

Damini stared at him. Isn’t this bitch’s backer Young Master Wang himself?

But since everybody thought that he was under the wing of an old man, Damini naturally did not want to say this.

Let everyone think that Zhan was being raised by an old man. Anyway, he was so ugly, Young Master Wang would abandon him sooner or later.
