LS – 13.

“Zhan, you don’t even know that he’s dying! He has a lesion in his blood, he’s going to die!”

“What did you say?” Zhan turned his head fiercely and stared at Seungyoun, “He’s going to die?”

Seungyoun’s eyes were getting red, “Zhan, you don’t know anything at all.”

“Tell me, what happened to him!” Zhan grabbed Seungyoun’s collar and asked fiercely, “What kind of illness did he have?”

Seungyoun said desperately, “So what if you know, whether Yibo can be rescued now is still unknown…”

“He will be fine.” Zhan said strongly, “I will not let anything happen to him!”

Seungyoun just smiled miserably, and did not believe much.

Zhan actually did not know how bad Yibo’s condition was, what he had just said was just to comfort himself.

As time passed, the door of the operating room, after a long time finally opened.

However, it was just the nurse who rushed out to get the blood bag.

“How is he?” Zhan immediately rushed over and asked.

The nurse said anxiously, “The patient’s injuries are not serious, they are just superficial injuries, but because his body’s clotting ability has problems, he can’t stop bleeding. We have already transfused four bags of blood into him, and now there is not enough, I have to go get more. All family members of him please do not block my path, the patient is still waiting for blood…”

Zhan hurriedly let go of the nurse, he was no longer as clam as before, his eyes looked anxious as he said, “You must save Yibo! Do you hear me?”

“We will do our best!” The nurse responded and hurriedly went away.

The nurse went back and forth, holding blood bags in and out.

The lights of the operating room were on from noon to the evening.

Seungyoun sat helplessly at the door, his heart getting more and more depressed. He then covered his face and almost cried out in pain.

For the sake of Yibo, he did not even want to bother the Cho family business anymore.

However, the result of it was… he had no money nor power. His family business was now gone, Yibo… was also almost dead.

Zhan stood up straight, standing at the door of the operating room and staring motionlessly at the closed door. He had maintained this position for more than an hour.

After a long time, the door of the operating room finally opened.

A tired-looking doctor walked out.

“How is he?” Zhan immediately asked, his sharp and gloomy eyes fiercely staring at the doctor’s face, “Is he alright?”

The doctor was startled by Zhan’s frightening appearance and hurriedly said, “The patient’s condition has just been stabilized, but… his body condition, it’s very bad. His body’s immune system, his livers and his kidneys all had problems, I suspect that he has been exposed to some kind of poison, and these poisons, are destroying his immune and detoxification functions.”

“So, if we treat it now, is there any hope?” Seungyoun interjected.

The doctor shook his head pessimistically, “I cannot give you a definite answer… but as of right now, whether he can wake up or not is already a question.”

“I will figure out a way to wake him up, as well as curing him.” Zhan said, full of determination.

The doctor nodded, did not say more and gradually walked away.

Yibo was sent to a sterile ward, his body’s resistance was so bad that in order to avoid infection, he had to stay inside until his body wounds healed.

Zhan never left the doorway, through the glass, his gaze never left the sleeping person inside.

Seungyoun was also beside him and said with a sarcastic tone, “Mr. Xiao, aren’t you already engaged to be married? What is the meaning of using this kind of attitude towards Yibo now?”

Zhan’s expression stiffened, and then said in a fierce voice, “He is the one who kept pestering me! He even begged to be with me today at my doorstep!”

Seungyoun looked gloomy and could not say anything.
It turned out that the reason Yibo secretly left, was to return to Zhan’s side…

As Seungyoun smiled bitterly, he turned around and left the hospital feeling gloomy.

Although Yibo was rescued, his physical condition was still very serious, he was still in a coma and he often had high fever. He had to rely on a variety of expensive drugs, just to be kept alive.

Zhan often stayed in the hospital and was almost always at Yibo’s side.

Seeing Zhan cared for Yibo so much, even Jianmin, as well as Lusi, could not stand anymore…

“Zhan…” Lusi who put on airs for few days couldn’t hold herself back coming to the hospital, “My friends and families are asking me when we will re host our engagement banquet since it has been postponed for almost one week.”

She poured a cup of hot tea for Zhan, smiled warmly like a gentlewoman.

Zhan, on the other hand, stared at the still-sleeping man on the hospital bed and answered her indifferently, “Cancel it”

Lusi was stunned, “What do you say? Canceling our engagement?”

Zhan didn’t even have a glance on Lusi, still, with his cold and indifferent look, “Yes, I won’t marry you.”

Lusi almost knocked over the hot water in her hand as her fingers shock.

Zhou Lusi was the most famous celebrity in the upper circle and yet, people who were fond of her could be lined up from the city to abroad, and she had always dumped others, no one dared to dump her yet!

And it wasn’t just a breakup, it was a straightforward annulment of the engagement!

If the news was spread out, she would be humiliated as a celebrity.

Yet, her value would plummet drastically in an instant!

This was such a disgrace!

Lusi tightened her fingers but wearing a sweet smile on her face, “Why? Zhan, what’s wrong with me?”

Zhan finally willingly turned his eyes and looked at Lusi.

Lusi hurriedly showed her most touching smile and looked at him seductively with her eyes.

“Everywhere you are, is not good.”
This was Zhan’s answer which was relentless.

Lusi’s face turned cold suddenly.

Being struck by Zhan with his words, how could she still stay in front of him? She then slammed the door with a lift of her cup.

With her face full with anger, she then went out of the hospital.

It was then when she encountered Xiao Jianmin right at the entrance who came to inquire about the situation.

“Lusi…” Jianmin showed his kind face,”What’s wrong? Why you are so angry…”

Lusi restrained her anger and said, “Go and ask Zhan! Mr. Xiao, there is a possibility that it is going to cancel the marriage between our two families. If we really want to cancel it, please let me announce it so that people won’t think that it is due to my character and so I am withdrawn from the marriage”

It was clear that the message conveyed was that Zhan wanted to withdraw from the marriage.

“Don’t get excited.” Jianmin hurriedly soothed, “I’m going to find Zhan, Don’t worry, I will only recognize you as my daughter-in-law, the rest of them are not qualified to marry into my Xiao family!”

Without answering, Lusi then carried her handbag and left in strides.

As soon as she left, Jianmin who couldn’t restrain his anger quickly stepped upstairs and found Zhan.

“Zhan, what are you doing? The marriage with the Zhou family cannot be cancelled! Do you know how much business benefit our Xiao family would gain if you marry with Lusi!”

Slowly, Zhan turned his head, showing a cold and frightening face as he looked at his father and said, “Did you do the poisoning to Yibo?”
