Xiao Zhan

He felt an intense pain in his womb he hold the kitchen table tightly and was breathing loudly, oh god what’s happening…

After another minute he felt another intense pain which makes him lose his breath and he screamed in pain… he can’t go to labor now he still has 6 weeks left…

Then he felt something wet on his legs flowing.

Fuck, his water has been broke…

He screamed again and this time Mrs Shuli run to him and said.

“Oh my god…. Zhan.. oh god what’s wrong.”

Zhan said in panic. “I think I’m in labor… my water has been broke.”

Mrs Shuli replied in more panic.

“Oh god but you have time.. what should I do… ok Zhan relaxes… we are taking you to the doctor…”

Zhan felt another contraction and he screamed again and then said.

“No one is on home… everyone in the office. I don’t think I can’t wait to call them from the hospital but please take me now.”

Mrs Shuli starts shouting and called all the servants and driver and said.

“Driver you get the car ready and you called Mr Wang senior and junior now and tell them Zhan is in labor.. and Liu you come here.. help me take him to the car…’

They helped Zhan.. Liu, a young helper… gasped in shocked and said.

“Mrs, Shuli, he is bleeding.”

Once Mrs. Shuli and Zhan get to the hospital Zhan felt another pain and said.

“Mrs. Shuli called Yibo… or Mr Wang… I don’t think I will survive I can feel this…”

Mrs. Shuli put Zhan in a wheelchair.

“No my child…. positive… you are bringing a child today… you want to hold that beautiful thing first… you deserve this happiness no one else… and don’t worry I already called Yibo and Haikuan personal cell phone and left the message now just take a deep breath, the doctors are coming.”

“Congratulation sir.. this is the biggest deal you have ever capture.”

Yibo P. A praised him.

Yibo proudly smiled and said.

“It’s all because of our whole team effort not single person.. now tell everyone because of this success everyone is getting a raise in the salary and bonus.”

P. A beamed with happiness.

“Sir we are happy that we are working under your leadership…”

Yibo enters the office and said.

“Qin first get me something to eat this bloody 3-hour meeting makes me starving like a dog’

Qin said. “Right sir, I’m bringing lunch.. sir I forget to tell you got some miss calls in your personal phone.. should I give to you now….”

Yibo shakes his head and said. “No man first food.. then phone.”

Yibo was immensely happy this deal will make their company lead other MNC and finally his and his brother work will get the fruitful result.

Haikuan come afterward.. when the food arrived.

Haikuan said. “Thank god.. you order food.. I was starving.”

Yibo starts eating.

“Tell me about it… I was dying… have you told dad.”

“Oh he was super happy.. he told me he might join us for the celebration.”

Both brothers start talking randomly and were laughing…

When Haikuan PA come to the office and said.

“Sorry sir to disturb you but your personal phone has some miss calls which was quite frequent.. i thought to inform you, it might be important.”

Haikuan take the phone and said thank you…

Yibo realized he also got some miss calls.. but where he put the phone now.

Haikuan start hearing the voice messages when he cursed.

Yibo looked at him and said in alarm. “What happens?”

Haikuan looked shocked.

“It was Mrs. Shuli, she said Zhan is in labor… she told.. she told me Zhan is in bad condition they are not sure if they can save him.. he is dying.”

Yibo felt the land has slipped from his feet and he felt like throwing up what he had eaten now.

Xiao Zhan

Oh god.. it’s so painful…

Zhan can feel the pain so intense like it was someone cutting his body into tiny pieces…

He wanted to sleep.. just sleep.. knowing that sleep will not let him open his eyes again…

He might not see his baby for the first time.. but he wants to sleep just sleep…

But he jerked when the doctor said.

“Zhan open your eyes.. we want you conscious.. now push Zhan you can do this.”

Mrs. Shuli was with him and said. “Yes my child.. you can do it.”

Tears were falling then he said. “No.. I can’t… its hurting so much.. I want to sleep… just sleep.”

Mrs. Shuli yelled and said. “Yes you can and you will.. you will bring your child in this world., Zhan.. do it.. don’t be weak now.. be strong.. let your child come in this world..”

Zhan get the motivation and then he pushed… doctor also said motivate and he did one more..

Doctor said, “Very good Zhan we can see the head three more push.”

Zhan try again and was pushing and then he looked at Mrs Shuli.

“Yibo…” he just said softly.

Mrs Shuli said. “He is coming.. on his way.”

Zhan said in a broken voice. “No, tell him… i. didn’t do it…. I didn’t do it…”

Mrs Shuli looked confused but she nodded then Zhan push once more and then they heard the most beautiful baby cry voice.

Zhan closed his eyes and smiled…

“Congratulation it’s a beautiful baby girl.”

Zhan open his eyes in shocked what a girl…

No he wanted a boy, his daughter will be like him she won’t survive her… fuck Zhan knows he won’t survive now after the delivery.

The doctor put the baby on Zhan side and Zhan looked at the most beautiful child in this whole world…

His daughter got brown hair just like his father and she was crying.

Zhan lost it and cry loudly and kissed his child’s head and said.

“I love you.. I love you so much.”

The doctor start working on her and Zhan was getting sleepy again but he hold Mrs. Shuli and said.

“Plz take care of her.. my daughter.. is your responsibility after me.”

And then he closed his eyes.

Wang Yibo

Yibo reached the hospital with a straight face and Haikuan was talking with their dad…

Externally Yibo looked like a man who was calm and relaxed.

But internally his heart was beating like he will have a heart attack in any moment.

He saw Mrs. Shuli crying face and doctor was talking to her..

Yibo said. “what’s wrong.”

Mrs, Shuli and doctor looked at Yibo…

Doctor said. “Mr Wang.. your wife is in coma… he is under observation for 24 hours… he lost lots of blood during delivery and he was extremely weak in his whole pregnancy, which makes the whole labor very difficult for him.. and since we can’t contact you.. we contact your house where your mother was asked to save between mother and child., she choice child so we try to take care of the child first but we also did our best in saving Zhan.. now if he wakes before the 24 hour is more than good otherwise I can’t give you any hope.”

Yibo was shocked what he was listening…

Zhan was alright this morning Yibo remembers Zhan makes his coffee.. does other stuff.. fuck it he f’k him previous night and Zhan also enjoys it too, but now the doctor told his wife is dying.. how his mother can do this… He knew she hates Zhan.. but…

He said deadly. “Where he is.”

The doctor told him the room and said.

“You can’t stay more than 5 minutes. But you can see your daughter anytime.. she is fine.. little weak but she will be ok.”

Yibo turned to doctor in shock. “Daughter?”

The doctor replied.”Yes your daughter is 3 pound and a little weak but her vitals looks good. She is in the nursery. You can see her now if you want.”

Yibo didn’t know what he felt…. daughter… He is father now… no… Zhan is nothing to him… nothing but why his eyes look moist…  Fuck it’s nothing… he has nothing to do with these Xiao people. Zhan and his daughter mean nothing to him.

But his foot automatically start following nurse way and then he enter the nursery and saw the tiniest and fragile looking baby…

Whose chest was moving up and down.. he saw her hair was brown just like him… wondering what her eye color is? what why he is thinking that… he can’t watch that he walked from their leaving a confused nurse behind.

Haikuan runs to his brother and said. “Dude calm down where are you running.. I asked the doctor.. Zhan don’t look good.”

Yibo gets out in the roof of the hospital and takes out his cigarettes and smoke.

He felt Haikuan hand on his shoulder.

“Dad is coming too… I don’t know what to say but Mrs. Shuli was saying that Zhan was bleeding before the delivery.. maybe that’s why……. you… you seen your daughter.”

Yibo curse loudly and take out another cigarette.

“He is my fucking nothing… just leave me alone Haikuan.” he yelled.

Haikuan raised his hand in defense and said. “Alright alright. relax… I’m going.”

Yibo throws the cigarette and then yelled.

“What the fuck is happening in my life.. God, why are you doing this to me….. plz tell me.. I don’t know what’s happening.” he said the last words in pain.

Afterward, he went to Zhan room and saw him.

Zhan was looking like he is sleeping but his skin was so pale.. like all the blood in him is sucked out…. he was just hanging on the thread…

Yibo felt someone enter the room, it was Mrs. Shuli…

Yibo said. “You can go home Mrs. Shuli, you might be very tired… go take a rest I’m here.”

Mrs. Shuli nodes but also said.

“Before I go.. I want to tell you something sir… when Zhan was in the labor he said something… I don’t understand what he meant… but he was keep taking your name..”

Yibo raised his brows in shocked.. Zhan was taking his name… “what is it’

Mrs. Shuli said. “He kept saying one thing tell Yibo I didn’t do it.”

Yibo felt his blood to be freeze he knows what Zhan meant…

He looked at Zhan unconscious form and all this in the 4-year planning of his.. he realized did he miss something.

He sits down in the chair next to his bed.

Mrs. Shuli was gone by then.

Yibo grace Zhan face with his finger.. and said.

“You have to make it.. for your daughter she needs you, you can’t leave her in this cruel world alone. Come on Zhan.”

Then he saw Zhan opened his eyes and he was stunned.
